  1. That transcript is pretty amazing.

Didn't WCW do a PPV that was audio only or something?

Yeah I remember Jericho doing commentary. There was a cage match that I think Flair was in and Jericho claimed Flair did a moonsault off the top of the cage

  2. Does thq even have people bother to test the game before it comes out? So far in 24/7, I have been feuding with Stephanie Mcmahon, and then I had the option of giving up the title to end the feud, and I choose to keep it and it says I chose to give up the title anyway. I also lost a triple threat match to triple h, and the cut scene shows Bobby Lashley as the winner, and Coach asked me if I wanted to switch to Raw, I chose yes, and I was still on Smackdown

  3. BTW, has anyone mentioned the Sting / Flair vs. Funk / Muta "electried cage" match from 1989?  I forget what show that was on, but that was the year, during the middle of the Flair / Funk and Sting / Muta feuds.  I'd love to see that on DVD.

You know, I swear, Vince would make a ton of money just putting out old WCW PPVs on DVD.  Yes, there were some really bad ones, but some of them, especially from 1989 and the early 90s were great, and a lot of the stuff from the early NWO period would probably sell exceptionally well.

It was Halloween Havoc 89, I think the cage was called thunderdome

  4. Wasn't there talk that if Austin vs. Hogan falls through, Cena vs. Hogan would be the backup plan?

I shudder to think how badly booed Cena would be in a match against Hogan. WOW.

At this point, Vince should offer Sting a boatload of money to come in and work a program with Shelton Benjamin, eventually putting him over.

I know a lot of you guys dread the thought of seeing another WCW star being misused by Vince and company;  however, I think that if Sting is brought in for the sole purpose of putting Shelton or some other promising young talent over, then it will be very helpful to WWE's main-event scene. Plus, there's a built-in feud already, with Shelton using the Stinger Splash.

As for those who think that Shelton is a lost cause in WWE, he IS main-eventing RAW against Angle this Monday, so maybe Vince has changed his tune regarding him...

If you're bringing Sting in to build Shelton as a top face I think it would backfire. I'm sure they could have a good feud but I think the fans would all end up turning on Shelton in favor of Sting

  5. If Hogan had just handed the belt to Warrior and walked away, leaving the spotlight to Warrior on his own, then I might agree. But Hogan milked that whole deal for all he could get. He made sure to take his time and make sure people remembered how gracious he was in losing the match, so that he got the most out of the match, and not Warrior.

Was Bret stealing the spotlight from The British Bulldog after he lost the IC title to him and they hugged after the match? When 2 faces wrestle each other it is pretty common for something like that to happen after the match. Maybe not as much anymore but back when face vs face matches rarely happened it was very common to see them at least shake hands after the match

  6. The Gennifer Flowers interview was my favorite. She asked him how he felt about the judicial system and he said in the Rock's judicial system, The Rock is the judge, the jury and the excecutioner, and 9 out of 10 times its a hung jury if you smell what The Rock is cookin. I'm not sure if it was the same interview or another promo but the Rock was tellin the millions of his fans how he felt about world hunger and said as long as their is a nice juicy fish fillet on his plate The Rock doesn't give a damn about world hunger

  7. Ever notice how the littlest thing will cause a heel turn/break up of a tag team/group/manager-wrestler. ect

Forget slow burning a turn, the simplest miscomunication can lead to a full blown heel turn.  I mean it makes you wonder.  For example, couldn't wrestler A point out on a tape of the show to wrestler B that he clearly meant to hit wrestler C with the chair and C just moved out of the way.  But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO it becomes INSTANT FEUD!

    Two words: Strike Force.

Strike Force's breakup wouldn't have been nearly as bad if Rick Martel had cut a semi-coherent promo after the match at Wrestlemania V. He completely dropped the ball on that.

Ok, why exactly did Strike Force break up and when? I think it was because one of the members walked out on the other during a match against Demolition during Wrestlemania, but I'm not completely sure.

Martel said he was sick of carrying Santana, so he walked out of their match at WM V after Santana accidentally hit him with a flying forearm. Was their ever a blowoff to this feud?

  8. I think the reason you don't see black men have a Crimson Mask that often is because the darkness of their skin will reduce the effect of the red of the blood.

That's just my thought on the situation.

...of course, they could easily prove me wrong in the near future and have Shelton Benjamin get a crimson mask.

Benjamin was busted open pretty good by evolution a few weeks after his win over HHH

  9. I'll start with a softball:

    Hulk Hogan:

    3 Biggest Wins:

1> vs Andre WM 3, The biggest Main Event of all time, and a match whose myths have survived nearly 20 years

2> Iron Shiek MSG Jan. 23 1984, The match that sent Hogan from Midwest Megastar (in the AWA) to World Wide house hold name. A squash that defined Hogan's patriotism and popularity, 2 traits that would define him for the next decade

3> Randy Savage, WM 5 March 89, The match was one of Hogan's best from a wrestling standpoint, the storyline was superb, the company made truck loads of money, and Hogan's winfall for his 20 mins of work here was a cool 1.3 million dollars. Match reignited Hulkamania, which had been dormant since Feb. of 88

    3 biggest losses

1> Nick Bockwinkel, April 1983 - Hogan gets the 1-2-3 but is DQ'd post match and the place nearly riots. This loss proved just how much the fans wanted Hogan to be the man, and set the stage for the Hulkamania boom

2> Ultimate Warrior 4/1/90, Hogan attempts to pass the torch to the next big thing, and the match is viewed as being dramatic and top notch. The fact that the fans still loved Hogan more than Warrior after this is a testament to the love affair we all had with Hulkamania

3> The Rock WM 18, After being away from the WWF for nearly 10 years, Hulkamania is reborn as the crowd turns on top face The Rock and cheers the evil heel Hulk Hogan, this match gave the Rock further rub, as well as provied Hogan with one last run as a top guy

    Defining Moment

    The Andre Bodyslam- WM 3

Another defining moment that i would mention is Hogan joining thr nwo

  10. Hogan/Savage at WM V

Monsoon: It looks like we have a difference of opinions.

    Ventura:Yeah, well good for me.

What was interesting about the WMV commentary on Savage, Hogan is that Jesse and Gorilla Sounded like they were getting in a Shoot arguement during the match. and Gorilla was giving as good as he got from Ventura..

Gorilla: Obviously you never had a manager..

Ventura: Sure I had a Manager Classie Freddy Blassi

Gorilla: YEAH and He Took your Career Right down the TUBES!

I was just about to post about the Freddy Blassi comment.

I like at the end of the match when Jesse is ranting about how Hogan makes him sick and he almost makes him want to come out of retirement.
