This is why I don't gamble anymore. I'm just terrible at it.

I really liked in the first episode when after the truck had run out of gas and Earl came back to find Randy there Randy said something like, "A note would have been nice, you don't have to add it to your list or anything, but it would have been nice."
-
I really enjoy Ben Folds' cover of "From Great Heights" by the Postal Service. He uses an assortment of random objects played like percussion instruments to get the background music. Really nice.

I didn't like this episode as much as last week. I do appreciate that sometimes you have to move the plot along, but at the same time I like the purely funny episodes better personally. Creed once again had the scene of the week, now going 2 for 2. Also enjoyed Stanley and Phyllis talking to Pam and Ryan's actions on the date.

People are idiots. I loved the show last night. It was funny and had good plot development. I think that some people weren't going to be happy unless Jim and Pam were getting married right away. I have faith that the writers will know what they're doing.

The first season is good, and I really enjoy the episodes, but if you are only going to get one, get the second season. It's incredible.
-
My favorite Ryan moments were his look of horror after the Dwight/Angela "cookie" exchange. And "So, what line of work are you in Bob?" after the 3 "Bob Vance, Vance Refridgeration" introductions.

NBC seems to be showing a lot of replays on Bravo. I'd check their schedule if I were you.

I don't know that I've ever looked forward to a tv premier as this one. I can hardly wait.
-
I thought that it was a good start for the show, but a little busy. There were a few too many name actors for my taste.

Oh, and I find "King of Birds" to be the most overlooked REM song.
-
Is this different from Eponymous? I've been listening to REM basically all of my life that I can remember (my older brother was into their early stuff). I haven't gotten into the two most recent albums, but everything else is good. Saw them about 5 years ago and it was a very enjoyable concert. Stipe was much more personable than I imagined he would be and they played a set list that spanned a lot of their work (which is always a good thing).

I wish that I had listened to Elliot Smith more when he was alive.
-
I think that speaks for most of us.
-
I had to think on this one, but that's my final decision.

On Pam/Jenna's Myspace page she has a couple of spoilers up about the first episode of the new season (although not Jam related). I forget how to do spoiler tags, but they're posted over there if anyone wants to see.
-
Well, the full spoilers sound a lot better than the short ones.
-
FYI, there is some bonus material that is only being put on the DVD's that are sold at Target. It's behind the scenes action that Jenna filmed during the Booze Cruise episode. Don't know if that matters to anyone, but I figure might as well get all you can. This was posted on Jenna/Pam's myspace account.

Nice reference. That's my second favorite Slater movie of the 80's, behind Heathers and just in front of Gleeming the Cube. Malibu, how about posting some playlists to be ridiculed.

Why the hell is it so hard to meet people...
C Dubya 04 replied to Epic Reine's topic in General Chat
I think it's really easy to meet people in college. Just remember (especially if it's not a school near where you are from) that everyone else is in the same situation and looking to meet people too. -
She's pretty clearly going to be a big part of the Desmond flashbacks and in the development of how he got to the island (and maybe part of the connection to why they are all there).

I actually found the Simpsons to be quite funny for a change of pace. Not a terrible episode at all (which is what we now have to hope for I guess).

Eh, .08 is nothing. That's like two good morning Bloody Marys. And Paris is awesome, stop hating.

Just wanted to say that the new Gov't Mule album is really amazing. It's the best 70's rock album to be released this year (and I mean that in a good way).

Huh, I missed this somehow. I had the wonderful opportunity to play with Maynard as well. My jazz band got to play back up for a song when he performed in my hometown. We got to meet and hang out with him for awhile as well. It was an incredible experience back when he still had his fastball working. I would say that I'm sorry to hear he passed away, but really he had an amazing life and lived for as long as we can really hope for, so instead I will say that he will be remembered fondly.
