Yeah, you have to at one point be producing in order to be in a slump.

Agreed on the end of Shawshank. In The Name of the Father definitely had me choked up. And unfortunately we were assigned to watch it for a film class when I was in college. So it was like me and 3 of my roommates watching and everyone is trying not to bawl. Very uncomfortable. I still can't make it through the end of Rudy without tearing up. As for tv, I cried straight through the last 20 minutes of the finale of 6 Feet Under.

Going on espn.com and seeing the headline, "Brown fired as Knick's coach, to be replaced by Thomas" made me laugh for a good solid minute.

I think 138 was the number of minutes they talked? Although I have no idea why that should have been obvious. Or why he mentioned it. This thread needed some Lost like numbers though, so I'm all for it. Oh, and if she'll eat boneless chicken, she's no where near being a strict vegetarian.

I agree with you starvenger. I've actually found the tall blond to be the best on most of the shows so far. I thought it was between her and the cerebral palsy guy and Chris for who was the best. CP Guy had a couple of good lines with his mom being dead and his sister being dead, but Chris killed me with the whole Chia hair bit, "I spread it on, water it and then have your dead sister come over as fertilizer".

See, now that's the right question to be asking. If the return to Philly for ECW is such a big deal, why not schedule it on a day that some people might watch. I would have even gone down to check it out, but not on the 4th. There's too much good stuff going on.

I think that around 8 would generally be considered what is meant by lower reps actually.

One, Leena needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. Two, whenever Leena's not online, all the other posters should be asking "Where's Leena"?

I usually give $150 at weddings (that's with a date though). For my wedding we got anywhere from $25 to $350 from my friends in gifts and to tell you the honest truth we appreciated the 25 just as much as it was from my a good friend who has no money and spent to come to the wedding. I didn't even count on him to give anything at all. If your friend understands your money situations and knows that you're giving what you can, I think he'd feel the same. I also base my wedding gift partially on where the wedding is being held and if I know the people are paying, or getting help from their parents.

Dog Fish Head is quality. Right now though my favorite beer is Victory Hop Devil Ale. Anyone who likes good beers should track some Victory down.

You know, I actually would consider all of those guilty pleasure songs of mine. Well, except for REO Speedwagon. They suck.

You know, an amazing Weird Al song is "Bob", the one where it's a take on Dylan and every line he sings is a palindrome.

It was DWI too. That's the really bad one.

I always thought that the self titled was a pretty solid album.

Agree 100%. I found the entire If I Were A Carpenter album to be good. Crackers version of "Rainy Days and Mondays" was also a great cover from it.

The best performances of this decade

Well, I see that female actors are underrepresented on this list, so I'll put forth Rachel Griffiths from Six Feet Under (and really all of the women on the show were terrific in their roles). Brenda was a very all over the place character and Rachel always found a way to bring out the chaotic parts of her life while still making her seem human. -
Bernard Hopkins is giving Tarver a boxing lession...

I'd say so. Should be a good one. The last good fights I remember on HBO were the Ward/Gatti series. -

That's the take on MacArthur Park right? That is an awesome one.

I agree with this one, particularly when it's written across their asses. I mean, I don't want to look, but I want to know what it says at the same time.

I have to miss my ten year reunion this summer because of a wedding. I actually really wanted to go, I think because of morbid curiosity.

I don't think that Cold Roses is a depressing album at all. I can see not liking it based on individual tastes, but he sounds far from depressed on it. I was thinking that it would be too hippie for people here, not to depressed.
