I thought it was terrible last night. Reperforming two songs (including the one Kat did the week before) was completely anticlimatic. Also, even the judges basically said that the original songs sucked ass. I think Paula's quote was along the lines of "this wasn't your fault, the song was bad, you are good". WTF? Why wouldn't they give them some good songs to sing. And why does every word from every Idol song have to rhyme. It's like they're written by 16 year olds. Overall, I thought that Taylor did better with what it was last night. His song was made slightly enjoyable by his performance. Kat sucked the life out of an already terrible song.

Eh, while I agree to a point, Nevermind was the album that got everything going in the mainstream and Cobain was always a lot more of an attention grabber than was Vedder.

I have one brother. But I now have 2 sister-in-laws who I count as we get along really well. And a nephew.

I'm definitely going to see Keller Williams in A.C., Derek Trucks Band/Allman Brothers show and Gov't Mule/Allman Brothers show. The rest is up in the air for the summer.

I thought the one chick on that 80's show was teh hawt too. And I agree with your assessment. Fox really puts on a lot of bad shows though, so saying a show is better than those is a backhanded complement at best.

I thought that Beck was going to be, but I think that as good as his albums have been, to be a defining artist you do need more commercial success.

I had a great time on the cruise I went on. But be prepared to just eat and drink and gamble. There's not that much else to do. We only did a 4 night cruise and I'm glad because I would have been a little bored after that. You shouldn't get sick as you can hardly even tell that you're on a boat the things are so massive.

For a good place to celebrate I'd say a bar is pretty appropriate.

Elliot went home unfortunately. I'm getting a bit sick of Kat (well, only when she sings or speaks, she's still the best looking female in AI history IMO (yeah I said it Clarkson fans)).

I was not overly impressed with anyone last night. I liked Taylor doing "Dancing in the Dark" mainly because I love Springsteen and think the song is fun. "You are So Beautiful" was also solid. I think he's a near lock to win this thing. Now between Kat and Elliot it's a toss up. I think that Kat moves on to the finals based on the love from the judges for Over the Rainbow. I wish she had done the whole thing acapela (sp?). That was when she was really the best on the song. The music took away from it for me. She could have pulled off something similar to Bo Bice's performance that launched him into the finals last year. Elliot had terrible song choices last night. You need to do at least one very recognizable song at this point, and he didn't have that. However, I think that Elliot has the potential to be the best of all three. Hopefully he goes to the finals and gets a chance to prove that. Now, the thing that I really can't believe is that they're streching a 1 minute results show into an hour tonight. Does anyone watch the first 50 minutes of this crap?

I agree that the ESPN anchors suck ass, but for many reasons other than impartiality. I don't mind if an anchor person or journalist is partial to one team or another. It makes it more fun. Merril Hodge absolutely hates the Eagles, but that is part of what makes it fun to be a sports fan. I get riled up by what he says. Sports journalists don't have to be impartial either IMO. I like when the local journalists write from a fans perspective. It makes me a lot more likely to read them. They shouldn't have ties to the teams is all that I ask.

I still love Summertime. It captures what it is like in Philly better than any song has ever done for any city IMO.

Based on performances, Kat should have gone. But, I agree that Chris is much better off losing now.

I actually liked last night's episode a lot. It was a comfortable mix of humor and serious, and the flashback, deja vu parts were well done IMO. Also, "Welcome Back Coxer" was awesome.
