Tuesday morning quarterback on ESPN page 2 had a pretty good article this week that rips Kiper. He correctly points out that Kiper just makes 20,000 predictions leading up to the draft, and then says that he is right, even though half of the things he says contradict his earlier points.

Yeah, most definitely. I think that's where Chris's strength has been too. He's obviously a modern rock singer and that's what he does almost every week. The only week he didn't, even though his version of "What a Wonderful World" was very good, he ended in the bottom two. I think after that he realized that he has to sing his style to get votes.

I thought that Paris was really talented, but she got on my nerves too. I think it was the one week where she was singing her post song interview part. That shit bugs me.

You definitely hit the nail on the head with the pressure from the networks to be a hit right away. You need to give a show time to find it's audience, not just shove it down people's throats and pull the plug if it's not an instant hit. I disagree with you on the Office though. I like how they're using the other locations so far. It is all kind of logical stuff. And particularly the Dwight/Michael at Dwight's speech part. It made sense for the two of them to be away on business. I think that they can continue to do this going forward. Don't take everyone someplace, but take a few people. Realistically, you see your co-workers outside of work from time to time. Happy hours, parties, business trips, etc...

Should I be worried that besides the Beattle's song, I didn't know any of the "modern" choices? Or proud of myself. I thought Chris was awesome on the first song and bad on the second. I didn't really like anyone else that much tonight. I think that Elliot, Paris and Kat are in trouble this week potentially, but it will probably be Paris who goes home.

Well, I think that I already basically have all of the Allman's ones, but I think that I'll pick up the Skynyrd set. Go see the Allmans in concert this summer if you like them. They sound great right now and will have either Gov't Mule or the Derek Trucks Band opening for them. Should be fantastic shows.

Wow, I hope those songs are wrong. If they're right I'll be fast forwarding through a lot of this show.

So, last night was fan appreciation night for the 76ers. The Sixers fans have stood by Allen Iverson for his whole career, more than anyone should have for a lot of it. This is potentially his last home game, so a lot of people go to show him some love. Well, AI not only decides to sit out because of injury, he doesn't even show up until after the game starts and does not go to the court at all. All it would have taken was for AI to show up, put on a fucking jersey, be introduced and sit on the bench for the crowd to be happy, but he can't even be bothered to do that? That's my rant for the day. What other examples of players being dicks in little ways are there?

They could sing it again during their highlight clips part. It would save some time.

I laughed at this, but you're gonna take some heat for this one, I think. You know, I used to get pissed when people said stuff like this, then I quit smoking pot and listen to Phish only once in a blue moon. Still think Phish is good and enjoyable, but there is definitely something to be said for the everything sounding better stoned line.

I've really started to enjoy this guy. Another songwriter that I think is way underrated is David Lowery.
