"Punk Rock Girl" is my favorite version of this.

Let's see. I got married, bought a house, bought two cars and got a new job. I had a pretty great year.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but I think that Fiona Apple's Extrodinary Machine is a brillant album.

This is a pretty craptastic week of football. Btw, I've watched McMahon the last several weeks, and he is not better than any quarterback playing this week. The guy had a nice little run in Detroit, but is absolutely terrible now. I wish the Eagles would give Andy Hall a shot this week to see if he has anything.

Some old bands that were probably "emo" are pretty great though. Husker Du comes to mind. And all of Mould's other projects.
-
Or into a running fan. I've seen it happen, with poor results.
-
I saw a lot less shows this year than I normally do, but the ones that I really enjoyed were Ben Folds, Bon Jovi, Gov't Mule, Trey Anastasio and Phil Lesh and Friends.
-
I agree with all the albums being named as being good->great. Willie Nelson's RedHeaded Stranger was also released in 1975 and is my 2nd favorite Willie album and amazing.

I'm going to cut you some slack for being sick, but I won didn't I??? Seattle/Indy, we split the different picks, so it would go to tie-breakers. I had 34 for Seattle, he had 20 for Indy. Score was 28 to 13. I was off 6 and he was off 7. I'm right here right?

Just want to point out that Gov't Mule is the best thing going right now, and they are definitely not a "jam band". Fuck, they cover Black Sabbath, Temple of the Dog and have played with everyone. They're much more of a power trio (ala Cream, Hendrix Trio, etc.) then anything else, but due to Warren's affiliation with the Dead and Allman Brothers they are lumped in as a "jam band". Fuck that.

Well that seems like a waste of a double post then.

Mine's "Behind these Hazel Eyes" by Kelly.

That's like saying that all of that terrible fucking techno shit sounds the same. Phish is labeled a jam band, as are the Allman Brothers, Gov't Mule, Disco Biscuits, MMW, Soulive, the Dead, Leftover Salmon etc. None of these bands sound even remotely the same.

If the league is at all serious, there's no way that Moats will be available. Wells for Texas would be an okay emergency pick-up if Davis doesn't go and Gore isn't out there IMO.
-
I've made it into my league finals. Since I was set at WR and QB for the week, I dropped all backups to find a desparation RB fix. I have Rueben Droughns, Tomilinson, Micheal Turner, Tony Fisher, Frank Gore and the backup for the Texans. Anyone know where to find updates on Tomlinson? cbs.sportsline has not been informative.

The only redeeming thing about the Nickleback song is if you imagine him trying to come up with rhymes while writing it. Some of it he so obviously forced that it becomes hilarious.
-
My first thought was Hollaback Girl. That new Nickleback song "photograph" is terrible though.
-
Are these guys just a Thursday ripoff? Singer & a screamer?

I've listened to Phish for a long time (less now than before) and those kind of fans always really annoyed me. Some of my friends in high school and college who were Phisheads refused to try anything new. I'd put on random things like the Descendents or the Toasters or NoFX or some random jazz guy and they would shit all over it because it wasn't Phish. Pissed me off.

re: "jam bands" I agree that it is a horrible name, especially considering how different a lot of the groups lumped in are.
