Saw A History of Violence this weekend. I really enjoyed the movie, although it did have some flaws. It was not what I expected, in a good way.

It wasn't the overall wins and loses that did it for me Al. It was his smugness. They didn't make the playoffs once and he always made it sound like they were a perfect run club and were just getting bad breaks every year. I think that a lot of people feel that the club was so close he should have been able to push them over the top.

I think that the big question is will Ghost Whisperer last longer than JLH's Party of Five spin-off did. They may actually cancel GW halfway through the first episode. How I Met Your Mother seems like it will be similar to Raymond, in that it gets good ratings, but you will not know anyone who watches it.

Obviously Ed Wade did not lose any games for the Phillies this week, but at the same time he hasn't done anything to help them win during his tenure. I'm frustrated. I'm pissed off that they let his contract roll over again, which means that Elmer B. Fuddled will probably be back again next year too. Not only has Ed Wade built a team that is not designed to win, he has managed to build up a farm system that is the drizzling shits. And he did all of this while spending money this time.

But Leyland had the nerve to say that he didn't think the team was good enough, and then offer suggestions as to how to make it better. Whoops, can't go against fast Eddy and the faceless ownership group. If I saw Ed Wade crossing the street, I'm not sure that my foot would hit the breaks in time.

Alright Al, please explain to me why there is not a single Phillies manager who understands baseball. Agree with Dama on both points. Where is the love for 1-AA? Delaware kicks off their season Saturday, as does most of the A10, which is absolutely loaded this year. It is probably the 7th best conference in all of college football, leaping past several 1A conferences.

Is there a more frustrating team to be a fan of in the history of sports than the Phillies? In the 8th inning, Rollins hits one into the corner and appears to be on his way to a triple, except he stumbles and misses 1st base. Brillant. Then team clutch strikes again and fails to get the big hit. Then in the 9th inning, the Astros score when Wagner walked a guy with one out, then he stole second when Pratt could not get the ball out of his glove and then he stole third when Pratt couldn't get the ball out of his glove. This is after last nights game. The Phils really needed to take 2 out of 3 from the Astros.

You watch a lot of tv. Nothing wrong with that, just saying.

I'm looking forward to the new season of AD the most. Also, I like L&O SVU, so I'll still watch that. For new shows, I'm going to give Reunion and Everybody Hates Chris a try. What's the deal with Scrubs? Is there a premiere date for it?

notJames, i would personnally go with Calico. I think that he's pretty solid. I'd think about picking up Terry Glenn too. He still has a good game or two in him. Also, I agree about SF's offense, but would still pick up Johnson over Miller.
