I went and saw Batman Begins on Saturday night, not expecting all that much going in. I gotta say that it was probably my favorite Superhero style action flick by far. The movie was superb. Everyone who was in it really did a good job, which is rare for an action movie. You usually either get good acting or good action, but this had both. I really recommend that everyone see it.

Who was saying they thought Mr. & Mrs. Smith would bomb? Also, I have not seen one promotional thing for The Honeymooners. No wonder it didn't do so hot.

Alright, where is the love for Pat the bat Burrell? He's hitting .321 with 12 HRs and 51 RBIs. Get him in the game. IMO (which is as a lifelong Phillies fan) the Phils should have two thirds of the All Star game starting outfield lineup.

A few years ago, a Phillie was injured while trying to get sunflower seeds out of a bag. That may be more pitiful than weird though.

I was half kidding about the fix, but there were certainly a lot of shady calls that helped LA along in those two games.

Sometimes it's fixed so they can get the best drawing match. See game 6 of Lakers vs. Kings and game 7 of Lakers vs. Portland for examples.

Have you found that Shn files take a long time to download? It seems to take forever.

Matt Morgan is one strong son of a bitch. Doesn't seem to have too much else going on, but at least he has that.

They sounded a lot better with him last night than they did at the Grammys on their own.

Uh, NBC doesn't have to show any band if they don't want to. Maybe I should sue because NBC's decision not to have my band on cost us publicity and album sales.

Yeah, but it looked like Babyface wanted to hit it with the really hot chick (whose name I already forgot). Bo looked happier than a pig in shit when he got to sing with Skynard. I think that meant more to him than winning would have.

Well, I thought that Bo's second song was very good, as was Carrie's. I didn't like Carrie's versions of either of the original songs, but enjoyed Bo's second, so I'd say that Bo was once again the best. I like Bo's style a lot more, so that of course influences me, but I think he is just a lot better than Carrie.

I'm already sick of people saying that O'Brien was fired because of Webber or Iverson whining. He was an AWFUL coach. Terrible. If the Sixers had had a competent coach, they would have taken the 3 spot from Boston. O'Brien's ineffectiveness and stuborness cost the Sixers a lot of player development as well. I was thrilled yesterday driving home to hear O'Brien was out and Cheeks was in.

Wow, don't hold back, tell us how you really feel. I think that this should be a great series. I don't see Miami blowing them out. If Shaq was 100%, I think it would still be a good series. As it is, I think that Detroit will pull out a mild upset and win the series. The Wallaces were able to handle Shaq in the finals last year and I think that they will again this year. If Miami is to win, I think it will need to be because of their role players. The Jones will need to step it up a notch. The only thing not to enjoy about this series is that fucking Detroit arena announcer screaming "DEEEE-troit BASketBALLLLLLLLL". I hate that guy.

People who are fans of Avant Rock and experimental rock should check out Akron/Family and Michael Gira's Angels of Light. Both are very very good.

So, is Arrested only getting half a season? I don't see it after Jan. Will they still get 22 episodes?

How does this week work? I never made it this far into a season before. Do they each get a half an hour set, or do they still rotate? Are any original songs performed, or is it still covers? Also, will they have a judges pick again? I thought that Satisfaction was not a good song choice for Bo to do. The Stones version is just way to ingrained in everyone's head, that you can't really shine on it.

Carrie has really been surviving off of a couple of strong early performances and being really really cute. I personnally would have rather had a Vonzell/Bo final, but I am pleased that Bo made it through. Win or lose, it's impressive that he made it to the finals. Really on talent alone, which is a nice change of pace for this show.

Have you downloaded anything from Archive.org? How does it work? Is it easy to download and burn? I saw a bunch of shit that i want to get from there.

One thing to point out Re: Gretzky that I don't intend as a defense of Crimson Idol. I think that age plays a big role in the whole Gretzky thing. In the US, there is just not that many replays of hockey shown from when Gretzky was in his prime (as opposed to say Bird and Magic in their primes), which severely limits younger peoples image of Gretzky. If you only started watching hockey in the mid nineties, and that is the Gretzky that you know, you are way off base in judging him. But, I think that this happens a lot. Gretzky wasn't allowed to do his thing as CI insinuated. He was that good. He was just an absolute amazing athlete. I remember growing up, the Inquirer had a weekly hockey award given to the best player each week. After having to give it to Gretzky an unGodly amount, the paper finally gave up, renamed it the Gretzky award and made him ineligible due to his greatness. You don't get the nickname the Great One for nothing.

I haven't had a chance to read Angels yet, but my understanding is that it takes place before the DaVinci Code. Would this create a problem in making the movie after DC?

One thing that could help Bo tonight to counter the teenage dialers is that he is the odd sex out. By this I mean that he'll get the votes of people who want a male to win, while people who only vote for women are split between the two. I don't know how often this happens, but it could give Bo a boost. Both Vonzell and Carrie are talented at least (although not my cup of tea), so it won't be insulting if either of them win.

I don't think Scrubs has gotten fair treatment over the years. It's hard for people to get into a show if they have no idea when it will be on.
