Bo's second song was incredible last night. It was the first time I've ever forgotten that I was watching AI and just enjoyed a performance. Amazing stuff. He'll have a successful album out even if he doesn't win this thing. I thought it was a little unfair that Carrie had to immediately follow Bo's performance with Air Supply. She did a fine job, but even she seemed to realize that Bo had just blown the doors off the competition. This all being said, I have a gut feeling that tonight is Bo's last night. No real reason behind it. I think that he should win, but I think that this is the end of the road for Bo.

While I think that past performance should be taken into account when selecting an all-star team, I don't think that a player should be selected if they haven't played the majority of the first half regardless of who they are. The exception to this rule for me is the Mike Schmidt clause that says if a player has clearly indicated that they will retire at the end of the year, or has retired during the current year and is of HOF caliber, said player should be elected to the All-Star game.

Does anyone know of a program that you can use to edit songs (for example, cut out a long solo) and then burn?

MLB: Chase Utley. For now, I think kid's got star potential. NBA: Seconding the Iguodala love. He is a fun player to watch. The Sixers haven't had an athlete like that in a long time. Nice to see the showy dunks.

I really like CBP. I think that they did a remarkable job with everything, never even really noticed the seat thing (and I'm a pretty big guy). The only thing that I think would have been better is if they could have found a way to move it more into the city. I know that it was almost impossible, but I really like ballparks that are in the heart of a city, or at least have a lot to do around them. I feel like it's a wasted opportunity to grow Philly. But as far as the ballpark goes, I got nothing but love for it. Now for the product on display..... Although, I got to give props to your boy Al. He's the only good thing going right now.

Have any of the other winners or runner ups been successful besides Kelly Clarkson? She is the only one that seems to have moved on from the label of "former American Idol". I don't really listen to the radio (especially pop stations) so I have no idea. How have album sales been for the winners?

Yeah, I remember him. He was with Baltimore when they were challenging Toronto for the AL East in the early 90s. I'd say he would qualify, given that he was the first overall pick in the draft the year he was taken. Yeah, I have about 30 of his rookie cards lying around. Bastard. I think that Grif Jr. was a great player for many years. He's been getting hurt since he went to Cinci, but with Seattle he was one of the best players I've ever seen.

I actually now think that the Police are a very good to great band, but it took me a long time to get over Sting's solo work and give the band a chance. I had heard a lot of Sting and just associated the Police with his solo stuff, when it is really worlds apart. I am glad that I gave them a chance.

Living in Philly I was curious to watch the last one, but I even gave that up after awhile. It was a boring cast with a boring job to do. I think that Austin could be a cool city to have it in. I was down there for a couple of weeks, and we found a lot of trouble, so I'm sure these kids will be able to to.

I can't stand Favre, and really don't know why. He just bugs the shit out of me. When he threw the pick in sudden death of the 4th and 26 game I could not have been happier. (well part of that was the Eagles completing the win, but still) Most other players that I like or dislike, there are specific reasons attached.

A couple notes. One, the game was already delayed 90 minutes by rain before it started. The third inning saw a 41 minute rain delay. It was Howard Johnson who hit the home run in the 13th inning for the Mets, and Terry Harper hit one in the bottom of the 13th for the Braves. The game ended a little after 3am, after which the Atlanta Braves proceeded with the planned post-game fireworks. The neighborhood was not very happy with that one. How about the 93 Phillies along these lines. Game 2 of a double header vs. Padres started around 1:30 am due to rain. Game ends up going 10 innings and ends on a Mitch Williams single that scores Inky from second. The game ended at 4:40 am. They had announced at the end of game one that game 2 would start at 1:30 and tickets were free, so apparantly a few thousand turned up from the bars to check it out. Also, four or five days later I think the Phils won a 20 inning game that ended close to 2 am. Playing after midnight twice in a week time probably doesn't happen all that often.

I mark out for Journey. Nothing said 8th grade dance quite like Faithfully or Open Arms. And "Anyway you Want It" is remarkable.

I think that the three that remain are all talented. I hope that Bo wins, just for something different. Plus he did bust out the Allman Brothers earlier. That was enough to get my support for the thing. Quick question, would you buy an album from any of these remaining three? I like Bo, but not enough to cough up money.

So it seems that at least there will be two competitive series. That's better than it looked yesterday. I can't believe that Detroit got taken apart by Jeff Foster. He played out of his head down the stretch.

My impulse checkout line item is sadly Star Magazine. If I'm stuck in a long line I inevitably start to read one, then end up buying it. For candy, I usually cannot pass up on Nerds if they're there.

I really could never get into U2 either. I have tried too. They just do nothing for me.

The Phils have patented the idea of not scoring with the bases loaded and under 2 outs.

I always thought there were rules against that. I never saw it happen before. Also, I wonder who does the arrangements. It didn't seem fair that Carrie was getting killed over her arrangement and Anthony was complimented on his if they didn't have a part in creating the arrangements.

This is one hell of a frustrating Phillies team to watch. Single, taylor made double play ball gets booted, pop up, another taylor made dp ball is booted, k. No runs. More lost opportunities.
