Ah, but Republicans are in complete control now, so that's not saying too much. Obviously the surplus was favorbly impacted by the stock boom of the late 90's, but a downturn had to be expected and better planned for to control this deficit spiral.

I fear for an AD return. I mean, it's intelligent humor and doesn't have a laugh track, so most of America probably doesn't know that it's supposed to be funny. Plus, Fox has to make room for shows of such quality as Stacked, or Paris and Nicole annoying some more people at their jobs.

Jimmy is a more popular comedian/actor than people on this board give him credit for in our peer group and thats among both men AND women I know. As someone who knows a lot of non cyber people, I can say that they all hate him too. Well, actually a couple of airhead girls I know think he's funny because he's cute. I can't stand his little giggling shit act. But, hey more power to those that can. I guess.

I thought Bo did a good job considering the category wasn't his strongest. Scott was embarassingly bad. I cannot believe that Paula thought he did a good job. They really need to give her the boot this week. She is so grating, I can't make it through the whole show.

I hate to thin slice a baseball game, especially after the Phillies win, but it is frustrating to see Abreu and Thome in the clutch fail again. Twice Bobby came up with a man on third and under 2 outs and he managed a strikeout and a week pop out. And Thome picked up where he left off last year with runners in scoring position. Your 3, 4 hitters just have to be able to get the job done. But, overall, a nice way for the Phillies to start off the year. I hope that Pat the bat really did need just to have his head cleared to step it up again.

Heading down to the Cit right now. Haven't missed an opening day in 6 years. Something about it is just special.

I agree that Jessica shouldn't have gone this week, but I don't think that she's even close to being the best, so it's no biggie.

I'm going to give them the "it's a cartoon" excuse, because well....it's a cartoon. You can take as many liberties as you want, so long as it's funny each week. And if you use said plot holes in the future to make fun of yourself, so much the better.

I never quite understand how Republicans are supposedly the State's rights party until something comes along that might upset the Religious Right, then the party changes it's tune and is happy to interfere. I guess that I'll make this one fifthed. The chemistry that these two had together can never really be duplicated. They were two old friends with a passion for the game working together and it was magic. I'm guessing that from the mid eighties until the late nineties when Ritchie passed, I must have heard them call around 1000 games and enjoyed their work each and every time.

I don't really think it's fair to call any conference the best, as it is really arbitrary to say that, but I'd say that having as strong of a top that the ACC has qualifies them for the discussion.

If people don't mind, or prefer, seeing "live" acts that are dancing and lip syncing, I don't see the harm in it. Bands that I listen to wouldn't perform that way, and I personally wouldn't want to see it, but I think that if you ask the majority of people who listen to recent pop acts, they'd rather be entertained than to hear poor singing live.

If they take this show off the air, I'm going on a three state killing spree. I giggled at work due to the Chicken Dance clip.

I'll be honest, I don't understand win shares at all, but there is no way that only 3 Phillies position players have been better at their peaks. I miss the days where you could just watch games and bitch about how bad Phils management was, now I feel like everything about baseball is computers and steroids.

I think that currently there is a lot of backlash on players who go for more money, but honestly if you put yourself in there shoes, what would you do? Milloy had a ring already and put himself in a position that his children will not have to worry about money for the rest of their lives. That's his choice to do and I really can't say that I wouldn't have done the same.

Well, I think that with the majority of conference home and homes, the teams will split. You can't just add another game for all of them on a neutral court. Maybe you'll get your wish and they'll meet in a tourny game down the road though.

I actually think that Dean would be a good choice. The party needs someone with energy to organize and inspire. I do agree though that how far left is is perceived to be would be detrimental.

The fact that Are we there yet? has made that much more than Million Dollar Baby seems criminal to me. Granted, I haven't seen AWTY, but come on America.

Sorry if this has been covered, but here comes a dissappointed rant. The Eagles were right there with the Patriots and messed up every big point. I know the Patriots are really a great team, but this game was right there for the Eagles. Then Andy Reid got completely demolished by Belicheck. Clock management was awful, having Simoneau in the game was inexusable (especially when he got abused every screen play and Adams was playing well) and my least favorite was not sending someone back to field the punt at the end of the game. How can an NFL coach decide to do that. Westbrook in the open field is the Eagles best chance at that point and even if he just fair catches the punt, you have the ball around the 20 instead of at the 3. Unbelieveable how badly this team played and how many mental mistakes that they made.

I'm pleased with Penn State's recruiting class. Not ranked really high, but they did get a couple of playmakers it seems. This is something they've been sorely lacking. I would like to see Joe Pa take these kids through, see if he can do anything, and then call it a day.
