Easy. Just use the numbers produced by Mike Anderson, Clinton Portis, and Reuben Droughns as estimates... I assume that you're arguing TD was a product of the system, and I agree to an extent he was. But, none of those guys came anywhere near having the season he had in 98. Over 2000 yards rushing, 21 touchdowns and 5.1 ypc. That's insane. In 97 he put up over 1700 rushing yards.

I agree on the Jim Brown being number 1. After that it's a clusterfuck in my mind. Barry was the most amazing runner I ever watched, but he was also the most likely to lose 10 yards on a play and he didn't make his teams a winner. But, I don't know that many RB's who do. Along the lines of Bo Jackson, one has to wonder how great Terrell Davis would've ended up had he not gotten hurt.

To add one to the list, Van Morrison's "And it stoned me" is quite a nice way to open Moondance.

The Sixers/Pacers game last night was a fun one. Tons of lead changes and ties, especially down the stretch. And Kyle Korver hitting a fade away jumper with 6 tics left to win. I think that the Sixers could come together nicely and make some noise in the East. They have a lot of young guys who are starting to come into their own. This of course is completely dependent on Iverson surviving the season.

Well, firstly I think that it is rediculous that he took criticism for bringing this up. Challenging thoughts and trying to come up with new ways of looking at things is exactly what should happen at one of the premier institutions in the world. That being said, I disagree with his premise. I think it is obvious that in general men are physically stronger than women, however, there is an evolutionary purpose for that. I don't see an evolutionary purpose for men to be inherently better at math and science.

I think that he was on Texas football for a couple of years, the immortal B.J. Johnson.

"show a little faith, there's magic in the night, you ain't a beauty, but hey you're alright" I always thought that that was one of the best lyrics ever from Thunder Road. Also, I second the Atlantic City love. Seeing a Bruce show is always a great time too. They put a lot of energy out there.

Without a doubt, Dick Trickle is the best name ever.

I hate when couples to the thing where they both talk. "This is Tom" "and Mary" "and we can't come to the phone right now."

You know, I read that Bayless article earlier and I have to agree with a lot of what he says. But I think that it is widespread and not just an issue when discussing the Patriots. Everyone has to be the second coming of someone else in every sport now. Why can't people just be what they are. Tom Brady is a clutch QB, why need to make him the next Joe Montana, why not be happy with him being the first Tom Brady. I'm C Dubya, and thanks for watching the Sports Reporters.

The trailer that I've seen has me really excited to see this. The trailer used parts from Episode IV mixed in and really gave an awesome effect. Is there word if any of this will be in Ep III.

Remember all that talk about torture & rape rooms?

Well, I would say that the fresh scars on the people to go along with what they are saying is a bit of proof. That being said, this is no where near as bad as the mass graves that were around whilst Sadam was in command. -

Ya know, it would help their case out a lot if the ACLU could provide those names. I find it difficult to take this seriously without any way of knowing who was supposedly victimized and who supposedly committed the crimes. I think that the ACLU was not provided with the names. Not the other way as you described. -
"Freddie Mitchell and his pal Jaleel White - that's Urkel to you and me - hit up 32° (16 S. 2nd) Friday night where a few other players, such as Dexter Wynn were hanging, as was former Eagle John Welbourn. The prophetic Mitchell and White were heard talking about how badly the team would whoop the Falcons." God I hope that this moment was captured in a picture. Especially if FredEx's hair was in it's game-day form. They also went to the Sixers game last night.

Umm, he was going to see the doctor today. You got a source for that little nugget?

Well, really trash talking is a lot of the fun in being a fan of a team. You take a certain sense of pride that a team you root for won. The fans aren't playing the game, but we are the reason why it is being played, so I think that trash talking is valid. Honestly, there are going to be some people who are right and some who are wrong, but no one knows what is going to happen. That's the beauty of Sports.

Give me a break. It is clear what was being implied there. You can lead people to infer certain things, which was obviously done.

To be fair, Governor Rendell was probably drunk when he wrote that stuff.

That's by far the most acurate statement I've ever read on here.

Well, sorry if the little Patriots comment touched nerves, but it was said in fun. I'm tired of hearing the Eagles undersold and reversed it. I was kidding, obviously the Patriots are a good team. I watched at least half of their regular season games and both playoff games, so I've seen enough to judge them on. And from what I've seen, I think that the Eagles will win.
-
Eh, it's all in fun. They're a great team, but they're gonna lose. It's hard to think rationally when you sit in your cube at work all morning and stare at a fold out of Donovan holding the trophy up.

For the year Lewis had under 30 catches and 3 touchdowns. He had 3 catches and 2 touchdowns against the Falcons, a very good game, but please don't pretend that he was the key to the Eagles offense. Mike Bartrum had 1 less touchdown this year. What amazes me is how many people in this thread are making statements out of their asses after apparently watching one or two Eagles games this whole year. This is a very good football team that is well coached and is not in the least bit afraid of the little Patriots that could.

No Matt Abts and no Billy Martin make this list void of validity.

You've got to be kidding if you think this year's Eagles wouldn't have beaten last year's Panthers. Look, just because the NFC had a weak year does not mean that there couldn't be one great team in the conference. This years Eagles team is miles ahead of where they were at this point last year. Particularly in the Defensive line. Last year they could barely field a line at this point, this year they have everyone healty, plus the Freak. And I do agree with you that the Patriots have no weak points on their team, but the Eagles don't either. When the Eagles want to run the ball, they can. When they want to pass, they can. The defense in the second half of the year has been dominant against both the run and the pass and the special teams are as good as anyones.
