Did I hear right that the letter that was potentially dangerous was sent by a disgruntled truck driver? I may be nuts, but I swear that's what they said this morning. Someone called Fallen Angel sent it as a protest to the mandatory rest breaks for truckers.

I'm with you in the love everything Ben Folds does camp. I seem to get locked into an album of his and play it repeatedly, even to this day. It's really hard to chose a favorite because of this, as it's really whatever I was listening to most recently. Objectively speaking, I think that the self titled album and Unauthorized Biography are my two favorites, followed extremely closely by Rockin the Suberbs. Whatever & ever amen loses a bit with me due to the overexposure of Brick, but I do think it's an incredible album. So solid the whole way through, with some great great tracks. The live album is fun, but doesn't have too much new material. I love the dvd version of him performing Tiny Dancer. I died laughing the first time I saw that. On a minor side note, do you know when the album by the Bens is comign out?

It doesn't seem like Iraq really had any real organization, so they may not have had any documentation of the destruction (or sale) of any of those weapons. The reports that you keep posting all seem to be along the same lines that things may have been there, but they don't ever clearly state that there were WMD's in Iraq. The information posted above just seems to be general questions if there were weapons or not, not conclusive evidence thereof.

I don't get the argument that we need Bush in office to feel safe. I think that all of the terror alerts and grounded planes do make the population feel less safe at home, but I don't think that's a good thing for this administration. It shows me that what they are doing is not working.

Reckoning was my favorite REM album. I used to be a huge fan, haven't listened that much lately. Maybe I'll throw some on again tonight. Green & Document are probably the next two for me, along with Murmer. Then Automatic & Hi-Fi.

Hmm, I didn't like it that much. I thought it was a bit slow to develop and the characters weren't very captizing. It seemed like Kids Lite to me. The camera work was superb though.

I can't see how they would leave James out of the game. He's having probably the best year any rookie's had in ages and is a ratings grabber. If I was Stern, I would have made the coach of the East take him. The NBA has really gone down over the past few years in my opinion, and it's because of things like not including the most talked about player in your league in the All STAR Game. Right now, there aren't many bigger stars in the game.

If you're asking how they made him look taller, there are a lot of different movie tricks they could have used, including camera angles and such. They probably had McGregor acting on his own and used closer shots of McGroy and then mixed the films together.

Let me just say that although I did not favor the war in Iraq, I think that it is ridiculus and insulting to all the people tortured and murdered during the Halocaust to compare Bush to Hitler. Quick question on the dates of the Kerry letters. When was the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait? Was it in between the two letters? It seems like your position should be allowed to change if the situation went from Iraq being a threat to Iraq invading another country. I don't know if this is the case, but it is something to consider.

I'm registered as a Dem. I think that before you register as an independent you should realize that you won't be able to vote in primaries if you do. I'd recommend chosing the side that you agree with more, and then using primaries to hopefully help get your ideal candidate in a position where you can vote for them in the general elections.

i think that Bush would actually be best served to make a statement on this sooner rather than later. If I were him, I'd blame the intelligence, fire some people and then release footage of the mass graves that were discovered to show that getting rid of Saddam was necessary regardless of WMDs or the lack thereof. I think that the administration is making a mistake by sticking to their guns and saying that there are WMDs to be found.

I agree in hoping this ends soon. Why should anyone now be held accountable for things that their great-great-great-great grandparents did? And someone would have to work hard to prove to me that they were hurt by actions of centuries past.

I really always thought that Rudy had one good month as Mayor of NYC. The rest of the time was just swill. He did an incredible job after 9/11, which is what people now remember him for, but I don't know any New Yorkers who liked him before then.

I'll answer your sidenote question. 2 atheists would not be allowed to be married in a church (by the church's bylaws, not by any governing law). They would have a justice of the peace perform the ceremony. You can have it performed at a courthouse, or anywhere really.

The thing I really worry about from the SotU is that if we keep going on the offensive in Middle Eastern countries and others, we run the risk of spreading ourselves too thin. A lot of civilizations were brought down because of this reason. Also, I think that it was pretty short sighted of Bush to say that other Middle Eastern Countries would follow Iraq's lead and start to institute democracies. They all hate Iraq, as well as each other, and no country over there will follow another's lead.
