Suck my balls hippie. Flyers have actually played pretty good the last couple of weeks. I think that they need to end up 6 to have a shot though. The Penguins have owned the Flyers lately and the Habs are a good team. The best match-up would clearly be against which team wins the division that does not want to be won.

I now listen to my IPod about 75% of the time when I listen to music, so it's easier to just download from Itunes. Plus, albums are generally 10 bucks there, which is usually cheaper. And you get the album instantly when you want it, no leaving the house. Also, I've always found album artwork and linear notes to be pretty useless. Jewel cases just add unnecessary clutter too.

I generally now buy complete albums off of ITunes. I don't like stealing entire albums, especially if it's a band that I like. I can afford an album, so I like to support the band. If there is a song I want, but not the rest of the band's shit, I'll download it off of some blog. I also use emusic for some stuff. I have a subscription there for a certain amount of downloads a month. It's only indie label shit though.

Go get yourself some of the Dogfish Head "Paulo Santo". I think it may be the best beer I've ever had.

I thought Ramiel was the worst, and looks like she doesn't really care/belong.

Hoosiers in my opinion is the best sports movie of all time. -
This might happen before the album comes out.

Random Cubs question: What's the deal with getting weekend tickets to a game? I was planning a trip out there to see the Phillies and it seems that tickets for the Saturday and Sunday game are not on sale (the Thurs and Fri games are). Is there a reason for this?

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

Well, I never really posted often. -
Just don't forget the Hawks kick Nova's ass in the Holy War this year.

Well, it is a rematch of St. Joe's against the state of OK, but in 2004 they lost to OK St.

I don't think that Hurley would have said "let's go see him" about going to the grave if he were alive still. The date on the tombstone is part of the overall cover up that's going on, but I think that Jin is dead.
-
I did actually think during that that one of the last scenes would be Jin telling Sun that not only would he be there, but he'd bring her a panda. What they did was much better.
-
I think what they were trying to do with the flash backs was drive home the point of how he's changed for the better on the island, thus making his death more dramatic, but there just wasn't enough material there to work with. They really should have had him be violent to get the panda, or kick the shit out of the guy who bumped him to drive this home. That's my interpretation of it.

I didn't particularly care for the first 45 minutes of the episode, then thought it got good. I disagree about the season. I think that this season has been fantastic. One thing I wasn't quite sure of, but I think Hurley asked if anyone else came, then when Sun said no, did he say "good"? I wonder if that indicates that some of the others do shady ass shit to get off the island, and Sun/Hurley are along for the ride? We already saw Jack not wanting to see Claire's baby off the island (and he would have to know Aaron was Claire's not Kate's), now no one else going to see Sun and Hurley thinking it was a good thing? Seems more and more like Jack/Kate/Sayid might do some shit to get off the island.

I like the Mermen, but I'm not sure how obscure they are.

Yeah. Fuck them. Especially that niskie guy. He'd probably like it though, amirite? If the person giving was a tranny, then maybe. -

I don't know Lushus, I think that the way it played out was a lot more realistic than bad things happening all around. If you accept that the homeless murder thing was going on, the cover up would make sense (and I'm sure that plenty of politicians have covered up much worse). But still, I would say that McNulty and Freeman not ending up in jail is a happy ending for them, but not sunshine happy. They did both give up their passion in life and moved on. Probably for the best for both due to their obsessive natures with cop work, but still, they did have to quit (Jimmie without his pension). I'd say just about everyone else had normal progressions in life. Daniels ended up as a lawyer, but it's not much of a stretch to see that happen to a highly successful cop with a law degree. He also gave up his passion. Sydnor and Carver just got some promotions, which is fairly standard. Nothing to out of this world there. I'd say Michael ended up worse off. As great as Omar's character was and as badass as he was portrayed, I would call that a pretty shitty life. I'd say that the majority of the characters followed a fairly natural and realistic progression.
-
I'd say that things really didn't work out for that many of the characters. They landed on their feet, but both Lester and McNulty both had to give up policing, which was clearly their love. Same with Daniels. And Gus/Alma got royally fucked over at the paper. Dukie living on the streets and hitting the needle was a bad turn too. I really liked the finale in general. My one complaint was they kind of beat the whole ____ is the new ____ to death at the end. Dukie is the new Bubbles, Sid is the new McNulty, Carver is the new Daniels, Michael is the new Omar. I think that could have been a little more subtle. But, just a minor complaint, overall loved it.

I just finished reading through "God Save the Fan" by Leitch from Deadspin. Basically, if you like the site, you'll like this book. Not the best written, but he brings up some good points along the way and you will laugh throughout.

I really liked when he was explaining chess to them. That was my favorite scene from the first season.

I just really like watching people talk about beer.

I'll watch this if I happen by it. Usually pretty entertaining. I'm pissed though that they took "Beer Nuts" off the air. I thought that was a great show.
