    File splitting

I'm looking for a media splitter that lets me split things manually. For example, in a 3 hour file, id like to cut out about 20 minutes between the 2nd and 3rd hour. Most file splitters just seem to do even splits, or they cost money to do what I want. Is there some sort of free, common program I am missing? Thanks.

    Most annoying ROH crowd ever?

Orton would indeed be a solid heel for ROH, but he is limited in-ring. He isn't capable of having good enough matches on a consistent enough basis to be a top guy, but yea he would be a very fun heel act. The only problem is that he's so much bigger than everyone else, it would expose how small most of the roster is. The guys that get the most heat in ROH are the guys the crowd believes don't deserve their spot. See Jimmy Rave. He was hated, and remains hated to this day because fans initially thought he was boring and shitty. Since then, he has improved tremendously, and is one of my favorites to watch, but everyone still hates him for those same reasons. CM Punk got a ton of heat for the straight edge character because of his great promos, and because they didn't have him working any technical "classics" in his first year with the company. The main ROH crowd never saw him work what they considered a "great" match, so they felt no need to give him applause to show appreciation for his work. Any wrestler who has had a ton of fantastic matches will have a nightmare of a time getting pure heel heat in ROH. All of this bashing of the fans at live shows is pretty ridiculous though. I've been to a few, and I've been to plenty of WWE shows, and I've never been at a WWE show where the fans were so rabidly interested in the entire show as the fans were at ROH. I was in New York City for Homicide vs. Jay Lethal, one of the major duel chant offenders. The people in the crowd were going nuts, and it was split about 50/50 for Lethal and Homicide. The atmosphere was just intense. Now, I ask, who is a lamer fan? The fan who joins in on the chants and chants "Let's go Lethal," or the fan who sits in his basement criticizing those fans for putting themselves over? The answer is easy. On one hand, you have a group of dedicated fans that loyally follow a promotion, its storylines, and its characters, even though it has no TV or PPV. On the other hand, you have a group of pricks that wait for results to come in, complain about booking on paper, and then mock fans at the shows for their chants. Which is worse?

TNA News and Notes from WON

I think heel Christian fending off AJ, Rhino, Monty, Joe, and Sting would be far more entertaining than what we have right now.

TNA News and Notes from WON

His matches simply do not hold the crowd's interest. He is slow, and very weak as a babyface. He needs to turn.

    Joe Injured tonight

Joe is a great great talker. He is really underrated in that category. He obviously puts a lot of thought into his words, his promos are always short and really get the point across. His promo before the tag was the best backstage thing all night at the PPV.

    ROH: 100th show

The idea is, Delirious was able to survive Danielson's usual finishers so Danielson had to go to his uber knockout finish to win it.

    SD Spoilers

Did they actually announce Benoit/Finlay for next week or are we guessing? I read somewhere else it is gonna be Henry vs. Lashley.
  8. The Puma match was one of his worst (and most boring). The beginning had some nice stuff but it went too long.
  9. I assume you mean spanky and homicide, I chose to never watch that. I should add a couple more I liked...Whitmer (5/14) and Black Tiger (5/7) were both very good matches. Another thing is, I think WP is basing this off Strong vs. Gibson....it should be noted that was Gibson's farewell, so of course the whole crowd got behind him.
  10. Gibson was consistently outclassed in his ROH run by Samoa Joe, Bryan Danielson, CM Punk, and even Roderick Strong. He had some good matches, but his work is flawed in ways that limits him. He is very solid in 10 minute matches, but anything over 15 and he really goes downhill. His pacing is his most obvious flaw. With the exception of the Danielson match, where Danielson guided the pacing, all of Noble's long matches dragged terribly at the end. They pretty much all fell into a pattern of exchanging big moves and doing double KO slow clap spots. These are good for drama maybe 2 or 3 times in a match but Noble seriously did them upwards of 10 times in big matches, it is just tiresome to watch. In CM Punk's final heel run, his worst singles match was against Jamie Noble, and it was for the reason listed above. The whole ending just dragged endlessly. Punk even had a better match with Lethal. My favorite Noble matches in ROH are vs. Spanky (2/25), vs. Aries (4/16), and vs. Strong (10/2). Danielson has matches that are definitely better against all 3. Gibson/Danielson was also real good, but mostly because Danielson didn't let him do all the double KO stuff. Edit: Couple of examples of the bad Gibson matches just to further illustrate: vs. Daniels (9/24): This went 25 minutes and felt like 250. Just endless double KO and meandering finish. vs. Cabana (8/27): Pretty much the same, good opening 10 but the last 15 completely killed the crowd with about 20 double KO spots.

    ***Impact spoilers***

Um, sounds like emergency booking with Liger pulling out. Now how do they get it off of him? Nobody has been built up at all for the big win. The booking for this promotion is so horrible, it is a disservice to the great workers they have.

    The X division is broken

Samoa Joe is a great X champion. He has great matches and has the aura of a champion. There is just one problem: 2 months into his reign, he has beaten every single challenger in the X division. Styles, Daniels, Sabin, Shelley, Aries, Dutt, Strong, Lethal, Bentley....Sadly, only 3 of these came on PPV. TNA was incredibly stupid in how they booked squashes...by squashing half these guys on impact, they made it impossible for them to be credible challengers any time in the near future. How to solve this? I don't have the answers, but I have a couple suggestions. First, bring in Low Ki. This is absolutely necessary. Ki and Joe have incredible chemistry, and this feud could carry the X division. A feud doesn't have to consist of an endless series of matches...It could be something like this: Ki comes in, and starts absolutely laying waste to guys in the same way Joe does. Joe appears to be concerned, and actually avoids defending against Ki. Ki burns through the division, and finally gets his match with Joe 4 or 5 months down the line. If they are ready to move Joe to the X division by then, then this would be a perfect time for the switch. Second, Jerry Lynn can be reactivated as a sympathetic challenger against the monster Joe. They could get at least 2 PPV's out of this. Anyone else have any other ideas? I think this 3-way is going to mark the last time Joe/AJ/Daniels can really be fresh.

    Joe vs. AJ

In his interview today, AJ Styles said that the type of match he and Joe will have at against all odds has only happened once before in TNA history. Now I really doubt it will be a barbed wire match, so what else has only been done once? Last man standing?

Has TNA ever done an I quit match?

    Better wrestler poll

Kinda hard to say. Both are way overrated by their biggest fans. Still, Daniels has 2 recent fabulous babyface performances (Danielson, Punk) which make me vote for him.

    How should TNA use Sting?

I think there are 2 good options. First, if Sting brings in a lot of new fans, and can still work, I would put the title on him. Down the line he either drops it to Joe or Brown. It should be Joe, but I am too pessimistic to believe that will ever happen. Second option is to put the belt on Christian and let Jarrett feud with Sting so Jarrett can be appeased.

    TNA Turning Point

Joe/Styles was significantly better than their first, which was way too even and just a glorified spotfest. The roles and structure in this match were far better, and it made it way more fun to watch. In the first match, they were blowing off moves like nobody's business, and just tried to cram as much into 14 minutes as humanly possible. The pacing was much better this time, and for once AJ wasn't insistent on going totally even with his opponent. The only weak spot was after the lariat where something went wrong with the pin, I think AJ forgot what was supposed to be next. Still, as far as AJ matches goes this was his best singles match in such a long time. Better than the Strong match at ROH, which was his best of the year up until that point. Maybe his best since the London match.

    TNA Impact! Thread for 12/8/05

Shelley is really an amazing talent, and if they keep going with this sympathetic nerd comedy character he is going to become a cult favorite in a hurry. He could be a good minor challenge to Joe down the line, the fans will get behind him, he can bring character to the X division.

TNA iMPACT rating drops to 0.6

It boils down to this: Impact is not must-see TV at all. If you miss it, you're not going to miss any great matches or big happenings. The Dudleys debut was important, and people kept watching, but then TNA started coasting on TV and lost viewers. The idea that a promotion so low on the totem poll would start coasting on national TV, and even put together a PPV as half-assed as this past one is ridiculous. However, if they keep pumping out shows like this last one, they will push their way back to a .8 soon. However, it is becoming clear that Jarrett on top is not going to be a recipe for long term success.

    iMPACT! tapings spoiler

I am still a believer that the main event is what draws PPVs. I'm guessing the plan all along was for Jarrett/Rhino to headline this one, but then they ended up giving the match away twice over the last month, and effectively killed it. That was their first huge mistake. Still, even something like Sabu vs. Jeff Jarrett would have been a better choice. They could have played up Jarrett's fear of the type of weapons Sabu uses, and it could have been billed as a No DQ match to heighten the intrigue. Sure, Sabu would have no chance of winning, but it would be far more interesting than Rhino/Jarrett again. It seems like every show TNA is in a position where they can either keep the belt on Jarrett, which leads to groans, or they can switch the belt to someone that should not be champion. This always leads to Jarrett retaining, but it doesn't lead to any excitement.

    iMPACT! tapings spoiler

Watch Christian's promo on his debut. Then watch Monty's promo last week on Impact. You will then know that Christian should be the next champ, and Monty isn't even close to being ready. Rhino/Jarrett, in the main event, drew the WEAKEST quarter hour rating of the prime time special. So how does TNA respond? They headline a PPV with the match. Ugh.

    TNA Genesis PPV

I doubt it'll be a cluster, it's an elimination match.

    iMPACT 10/29 thread

Hoyt needs to be dropped from the roster. He is embarrasingly bad. I'm sorry but drinking with the local fans in Orlando is not going to hide the fact that he fucking sucks from casual fans. Unless he can figure out a way to drink with the entire 18-49 demographic, cut him.
  24. The move to 3 matches for the 1 hour show is a good one. Dave reported that there's gonna be a "survival x" match at Genesis, survivor series style. Judging by tapings/roster, I'm guessing: Aries/Dutt/Sabin/Shark Boy vs. Shelley/Strong/Bentley/Skipper

    Bound For Glory OaO thread

Quite a mediocre 30 minute match. The structure was god awful, the opening matwork was largely meaningless, and the end was really boring. This show has been a total flop in almost every way so far, except for the Monster's Ball. The worst thing is that I'm almost sure the main will be a screwjob too.
