I'm a little worried that they won't get enough time, but I'm pulling for TNA to prove me wrong and give them 17-19.
-
I'm gonna pick Aries over Daniels. They're going to hype Aries as the guy that beat Joe, and since Joe is going to take the title from Daniels next month, I think it would be nice to build Aries as a major contender before Joe is champ. I also know WWE dev is looking at Aries, so they may try to win him over with a big win.
-
I think just running a 6-way match would be better considering who's involved. It's a better way to showcase debuting talent.
-
He had a painfully average match with Petey Williams last month. Of course, it was largely due to Williams being awful, but he has had plenty of average matches on PPV throughout his run. I think Joe as champ opens up a lot of possibilities with the new talent they're bringing in, along with the old. Strong, Aries, Sydal, and Lethal all look to be coming in, and they could all have very good PPV matches with Joe. Rematches with Sabin, AJ, and Daniels would all work too down the line, because those are all still fresh matches in TNA. A petey match might even be interesting, to see if the Canadian Destroyer can beat Joe.

Joe should take the title, because the whole goal behind the title is to provide a great match every show. Nobody in TNA can do that like Joe can. Joe with the X title assures me of a decent length Joe match on every PPV, which means they'll get my buys as long as they keep bringing in strong opponents for him.

I think Aries has the poll in the bag. Joe/AJ and Daniels/Aries are enough to warrant a buy from me. I actually don't mind the tag main that much, largely because I enjoyed the set-up angle. It could be fun nonsense which is better than pure shit The rest of the card looks fine barring the shitty ass 3LK stuff. Here's an idea for the X division match: Shelley vs. Shane vs. Strong vs. Lethal vs. Sabin vs. Sydal This could actually kick major ass. You have the stooging heel in Bentley for everyone to beat on, and everyone else brings something unique to the table. Of course I wouldn't mind replacing Bentley with Dutt, but the TNA brass is intent on shoving Bentlet down everyone's throats.

Jeff Hardy coming back; plus Internet DREAM match

They can also promise all the indy guys a spot on the show. For example, if there are 5 guys in the poll, they could throw the other 4 into a 4-way early in the card. -

Whoever it is won't win, but will look very good in defeat. Making it non-title makes it a bit more exciting and unpredictable. I think in the end Aries will be on the poll, and he will win, since TNA fans at their board have been clamoring for him in TNA. Plus he has pretty good name recognition among smart fans. Aries could look great in defeat and really win everyone over. -
Jeff Hardy coming back; plus Internet DREAM match

The lack of Homicide in TNA is mind boggling, but I don't expect him in this. My guess is Austin Aries will be in the poll, and maybe Roderick Strong. -
Totally agree. Honestly, I'm fucking shocked, I was SURE they would blow it on Joe. I credit D'amore, who watches the indies and knows what Joe can do. Under the old crew...I can only imagine what Joe would be doing. They are making him into a total star. The AJ match will tear the house down.

They absolutely have to KILL this whole BG James/Gunn/3LK nonsense now. First of all, the crowd is not reacting the right way considering the angle. They just want to see the New Age Outlaws, they could not give 2 shits about James's inner conflict. And who can blame them? The matches resulting from this feud are shamefully bad, not to mention boring, and only reinforce the idea that TNA is a bad WCW. Second, if you are going to run random 4-ways and 6-ways on PPVS, can we at least bring in the talent that can make them fucking awesome instead of plugging 4 green guys in there? Rod Strong, Jack Evans, Azriael, Deranged, Matt Sydal, El Generico, Kevin Steen, B-Boy, Homicide, Jimmy Jacobs, and others can actually turn these throwaway matches into spectacles that will wow the crowds, rather than 10 minutes of looking to see how Skipper and Red can shame the business this time around. It's mind boggling that TNA has access to all these incredibly athletic guys, many of which are far more talented than the throwaway guys they use now, but they choose not to use them. Can anyone explain why? Why not put your best foot forward? Or do they just not care? Roderick Strong and Jack Evans need to be brought in as a team. The tag division in TNA is stale, it's the same matches over and over again, and these 2 can bring life to the division. Despite silly generalizations of Evans as a spot guy, he is a fountain of charisma, and knows how to work an audience very well. How many Naturals/Team Canada rehashed must we sit through? For the love of god, do something meaningful with Sabin. I don't even think he is that great of a worker, but he's way over and works his ass off every time out there, only to be constantly jobbed. Let's see: Sabin is doing nothing. Shelley is doing nothing. Maybe they should be programmed together to have a series of good undercard matches on PPV. Yes, that would please everyone. This really isn't rocket science. As far as other outside talent goes, I listed a ton of random talent for 6-ways and 4-ways above that could get way over. Hell, if they were smart they could form some sort of baby/heel faction feud among the spot guys in the X division, and give us a reason to care about the spotfests. I think the key thing TNA needs to focus on is creating programs that will deliver in the ring when the time comes. Keep it to basic heel/face stuff outside of the main event, and take advantage of the vast athleticism advantage an unrestricted roster of indy guys has over WWE. More athleticism, less nascar, less Billy Gunn, less idiotic sit down interviews, more wrestling, less 3LK, keep pushing Joe. If they do these things, it will be a viable alternative when it hits Spike. I don't know how this turned into such a rant, but my mind was on TNA after watching some stuff.

You really CAN pull off a good mix. ROH right now is not 100% in-ring product. They have backstage promos, feuds, and heels/faces, but everything is ultimately centered around wrestling. It's probably an 85/15 mix of wrestling to angles. I think if TNA could pull off 75/25 they would be a clear mainstream alternative to WWE. Sometimes they do pull off a ratio like that, but garbage like Billy Gunn wrestling Konnan in a random tag of the month simply doesn't count as good wrestling content.

Judging Joe based on a Necro Butcher match is silly. He takes every bump as harshly as he possibly can. Foley told a story about how he didn't wanna work with Joe cause he was afraid of how hard he would hit, but when he was actually in there with him it was nowhere near as bad as he expected.
-
I agree that keeping him in the X division is a good thing. Actually his match with Sabin was one of the best "X division" matches ever, and the AJ match will be the best. Who really wants to see him going light and working shitty guys like Raven, Abyss, Jarrett, Jeff Hardy, Monty Brown, and Rhino?
-
Most guys that work Joe will tell you he's not nearly as stiff or dangerous as he looks.
-
I'm guessing Joe/Styles as the final of the X cup may go on last, which would be a much more suitable main event given what the crowd likes and how over those 2 are.
-
Alright, picks: Joe over Sonjay AJ over Shelley Petey over Shocker Sabin over Shane Joe over Sabin AJ over Petey Joe over AJ Joe/AJ in the finals on PPV could be amazing. As far as outside talent, I think this list is fine, but it wouldn't have hurt to replace guys like Shane and Sonjay with some outside talent, whether it be someone like Austin Aries or someone from overseas.
-
Dont get me wrong, it was good, but this is just scratching the surface of what Joe can do. They're obviously gonna build to Joe/AJ, and when they get to go at it, I think you'll see Joe at the peak of his abilities.
-
A middle of the road Joe match just totally stole the show. Very good match.
-
Anyone else think the last book will be really long, seeing as it seems like he sure has a lot to do....
-
I'm almost sure it will end up as a a swerve, but not the death itself. He's dead, but there's some kind of reason for it. They leave certain questions unanswered for book 7.
-
Was the guy Mandy was with supposed to be the fake photographer from season 1? They never caught him, and never tied up that loose end.
-
He was wrong about Audrey's husband being part of the plot.

It wouldn't take much to outclass such a poor champion. He is far more over with the crowd already, his squashes are more entertaining, and he will clearly have better matches. I think in 2-3 months, if they keep the title on Daniels, it will be clear that he is the star of the promotion.
