Owen Hart Vs. Mark Kyle in one of the rare contests where the pushed wrestler's outfit looks shittier than the jobber's. Thanks a lot, awesome find.

Covers you liked better than the original?

Land of Confusion Also, Manson's "Personal Jesus/Reach Out and Touch Faith" song totally owns the 80's version, which I just heard on the radio for the first time in forever, and is really lame. -
Seeing Ozzfest tomorrow. Everyone hated on the lineup and now I'm reading nothing but praise for the work done by the artists this year. I'm really excited to see: Strapping Young Lad Atreyu Black Label Society These are three bands I've never really gotten into but never tried to. I hear SYL is awesome. Main Stage: Disturbed - Going to be amazing. System of a Down - Duh. DRAGONFORCE - HOLY SHIT BRUCE DICKINSEN SOUNDING CRAZY FUNKY METAL STONER DANCE PARTY. They have a Keyboard Guitar. Lacuna Coil - I dig their addictive music. Whatever. I'm excited but not super excited to see them. Avenged Sevenfold - Don't like them but can use this time to buy a new piece and piss, drink water, etc. Hatebreed - Someone's gonna die. Ozzy - Seen him every year, dunno if I'll even be able to walk by this point, I get tired after a day of boozing and brawling. So I'm excited.

Yes, worst NL since the strike year. But that's okay.
-
Madson gets the first-third MVP to ground into a double play. I'd feel a sigh of relief if they didn't just show Rick White in the bullpen doing what was reported to be "warming up".
-
Bring in Geoff Geary or Arthur Rhodes, that'll stop Pujols.
-
I would like to thank the worst manager in baseball for sending in one of the members of the worst bullpen in baseball to give up another home run and come closer to blowing the game.
-
Myers is getting Wife Smacked by the Cards...(that was awful) And I totally lost it when they played the "Benny Hill music" super loud while showing the Phillies bullpen a few minutes ago.
-
Unless the Phils go into shutdown, Utley's gonna get 1 more chance.
-
Here we go, Chase up.

Serious Q I noted w/ Wildcard analysis: Al, has MLB expressed interest in bringing 2 more teams to the AL to even up each league's # of teams? Is there a target date?

"The same guy that likes Rowand because he runs through walls and hate Abreu because he doesn't run through walls enough?" That's MORE statements you've completely made up. I even flat out said that Abreu was clearly BETTER than Rowand. Are YOU retarded?
-
Chong, the ball bounced off the top of the wall. Rowand's arm, when he jumped the WRONG way, was over the wall. Hence: he shoulda had it. Read the post before you comment.
-
"I can't take a guy seriously if he thinks David Bell is better than Bobby Abreu." Stop making up ridiculous statements to put yourself over. Anyone with a brain knows Abreu is better than Bell. Contribute something. _____ "me being a Yankee fan..and me having a thing for losers" DAMN STRAIGHT. I mean, who was the team that completed the BIGGEST CHOKE IN THE HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS? Oh yeah, the '04 Yankees. Bobby's gonna be a really good fit for y'all.
-
Rowand does good !
-
I will say that I was sad for a second when Bell got traded because he hit my favorite Phillies home run ever a few years back, Bottom 9, 2 out, 0-2, in September (I believe against the Expos, maybe Nationals).
-
I find it cute that someone with 2006 Chokers League of America members Morrison, Nash, and Nowitski in his sig/avatar calls me out for saying I hate Abreu's ability to be clutch. You must have a thing for losers.
-
Abreu's on base percentage, ability to tire down a pitcher's arm, and on-again/off-again hitting are remarkable assets to a team. But the guy is not clutch, dogs it in the outfield, and gets a ton of his stats in meaningless games, while striking out and hitting weak-ass grouders in clutch situations. Bobby's been clutch a few times this year, and I gave him credit. But there's a shitload of people that HATE Abreu for what I just said. Al's obviously gonna defend the guy, and he should, he sees him differently. Whatever, though. Bobby's gone, let's let it die. I gave Bobby props when he did well, but now he's gone, so I'd love to never mention him again.
-
He also looked great dogging it in the outfield and turning up the level to "a slight jog" for those ESPN Sunday games, you know, when people can see what most of the people in the city know.
-
Someone also needs to tell the Baseball Tonight, SportsCenter, and "First and 10" commentators that the "X can't make the playoffs, there's too many teams ahead of them in the Wild Card!" theory doesn't apply when all the teams are basically tied and a club can leap over 6 teams in 2 days like the Phillies are about to do with a win here.
-
Bobby Abreu has the work ethic and running ability of Kevin Nash, don't even go there. At least Rowand tries. I can't wait for NY to shit on him. Before you argue with me, though, I will say that despite hating on Abreu, I've always seen him as a better player than Rowand. So your point IS valid. But it's all about the green for the Old Timers Owners, Manager Elmer Fudd, and The GM Herald of Ruben Amaro, Jr.
-
Yeah, I'm not trying to blast Rowand for not stealing a HR...but if this was the same Rowand from before he got hurt, he'd have made that play. He reached to the wrong side and never got set and it bounced off the top of the short wall.

Wow. Just focus discussion on Jeff Weaver.
