"getting new deals in place for players like Utley and Howard" Unless the ridiculous think-monkeys in the front office decide to try to trade Howard again.

Rowand, before the facial injury, was batting over .300 and making spectacular defensive plays with his all-out-hustle style. Ever since the injury, his average has taken a beating, and he seems off several steps in the outfield. I have seen a video package on Baseball Tonight about him making fielding mistakes post-injury, various WIP callers have brought it up, I have personally seen Rowand make 2 strange fielding blunders live (including July 4th Vs. San Diego), as well. He hustles, but just seems timid and off several steps post-injury. The Home Run that was just hit. Rowand awkwardly backtracked to the track and fence to watch it. He leaped up on the wrong side, and the ball just BARELY got over the wall. Had he timed his run and leap, it was an easy "steal one" catch.

Harry's all "Jeff had a nice year last year, 14-11" and you can tell he's all "This guy...yuck."

Aaron Rowand just gave the Cards 2 runs by playing his post-broken face terrible defense.

With the army of leeches running the organization, a mini-fire sale was gonna take place. I'm personally happy, that, since it had to happen, that it was the likes of Lidle, Bell, and Abreu, who's best years are behind them (again, IMO), then the young core future who got shipped away. Not that there was any real worry for them. _______ Yes, it pisses me off greatly that a large market like Philadelphia has such terrible owners and a "yes man" GM that's just as shitty as Wade. But I still root for the team because I BELIEVE, haha. Could be 3.5 out in a few hrs. Honestly, it doesn't matter. I've been to so many Phils game this year that I'm embarassed. The fans suck and make no noise, the pitching is dreadful, and they can never sustain the smallest bit of momentum. But as long as I can watch the TV and no longer need to say "Ugh, David Bell is up..." or "Damn, I hate Abreu", etc., I feel happier watching the team. My point is that I like the team even more now and hope they can pull off a miracle. But I won't be attending games in that horridly quiet and empty stadium until they get their act in gear and get over .500 at least.

A bit late, but break out the balloons because Sloppy Abreu has been traded I'm digging this Phillies team now, and I'm glad they got rid if who they did. While the Phillies owners could care less about the futures (they purposely told Gillick to cut the payroll big-time to boost their gross for the season), I'm glad that a couple of players are gone that I either dislike (Lidle) or outright hate (Abreu). Sad to see Cormier go, but he's been iffy in some clutch spots this year. TRADING HIM TO THE REDS? Ugh. Stupid and shows that Gillick is not trying to win the WC this year. Anyway, I hope Utley keeps it up, Howard's been on a roll, J-Roll is waking up and Myers has been looking sharp. GO PHILS! The garbage on the team (Charlie Manuel, Mike Lieberthal, Arthur Rhodes, hell the entire bullpen), IMO, is outweighed now by the good. It's a shame that the players are trying to win but the GM doesn't seem to care, and is now beginning some "3 year plan" to try to get them near the playoffs, when they were a game out this year. With the NL being the weakest it's been in over a decade, however, I think stranger things can happen. I hope they make it.

Hey TNA! Book Rhyno the RIGHT WAY, already.

TNA has completely dropped the ball with Rhyno. Last week, he delivered an AMAZING backstage promo, with inclusion of his "shoot" at the ECW Arena. But it was the psychotic look on his face, the crazy eyes, and screaming rage which hadn't been seen since 2001 that got me most interested. And immediately afterwards he should have come out, had a squash, and piledrove someone through a table. Instead. Monty Brown, who both the live fans and internet now hate, came out, worked a shitty squash, looked fat, and did nothing of note. Now, TNA has Rhyno once again lumped in with Team Canada on tonight's Impact!, playing BIG TOUGH BABYFACE. Christ, when will TNA (and WWE) learn? RHYNO ONLY WORKS AS A PSYCHOTIC HEEL. No disrespect to Rhyno, perhaps he doesn't "only" work in that way, but he sure as hell works BEST that way. _______ If TNA wants a heel for the live crowds and internet to adore, they must: 1) Get Monty Brown off TV temporarily. 2) Turn Rhyno heel, attacking someone's girlfriend or someone's vulnerable friend/valet/manager during a special moment. Get the ECW memories back. 3) Have Rhyno, speaking little IF AT ALL, demolish opponents, goring them through tables and piledriving through tables. 4) Eventually build to Rhyno Vs. Joe. THAT will draw money. The old Rhyno would never team up with Jay Lethal, I'm sorry. Lethal's a fantastic worker, but Rhyno's character only associates with scumbags (Corino/Victory/Cyrus, Edge/Christian) or those who doesn't have tp argue with because he can't understand them (Tajiri), IMO. Rhyno's an awesome talent that's been totally ruined and turned into "mid-card babyface #19" in TNA. Fix this NOW, TNA, before it's too late. Want further proof? When did Rhyno's heat in WWE die? When he teamed up with CHRIS BENOIT of all people. Was it because Rhyno sucked? No, he worked good matches and bumped well. Was it because Benoit sucked? Good god no. Was it because their opponents sucked? Yeah right, The World's Greatest Tag Team, Eddie & Chavo Guerrero, and Palumbo & Nunzio were very capable opponents. Yes, even the FBI, who at that time were booked stronger, getting PPV wins and working with Undertaker. So what was the problem? Booking Rhyno as a babyface with feelings who cared about the fans. You can put the guy in there with Benoit, Eddie, Shelton, AND IT WON'T MATTER. GIVE THEM PPV TIME? DOESN'T MATTER. HE NEEDS TO BE A HEEL. FIX IT, TNA!

Best underrated tag teams of the 80's/90's

I would have ranked them on the "better" list until footage of them chillaxin' in a sauna together aired at Havoc '00.

OAO ECW on Sci-Fi Thread for 7/25 (Week 7)

"The first 40 minutes felt something like ECW of old" Yes, because lumbering roided up shitty workers like Knox and Test were always put over characters who ECW fans have emotional attachment with in the first 40 minutes of ECW TV. And Paul Heyman was an evil authority figure. And they had Vampires. Come on, dude. This show has and still blows.

Punk's debut is going to suck, just like Vampire's was hurt, from the dead crowd, lack of competitive match, and shitty 4 minute window given.

I'd buy the next 3 WWE PPVs if Guido shows up to Ariel's Tarot Card Shop next month and gives The Vampire a pizza, secretly covered in garlic, and then attacks him.

No, Marc Mero's "TKO" started out with him swinging the opponent around and hitting the Diamond Cutter. It just gradually got lazier. Test brings out the massive swing and "ARRRRGHHHHH!" yell to add more effect.
