As of the WWE Homecoming Raw, every single legendary wrestler, regardless if they ever worked for WWE or not is a "WWE Legend".

In that Flair wedding photo, I totally thought David Flair was Pete Gas of the MSP until I read the "WOW is that Reid next to David?" post.

Hopefully he'll get some NEW opponents who know how to work a crowd AND a match (which Orton lacks in both departments) and maybe we'll see a NEW Angle match. I popped for Randy's 2nd RKO attempt when Angle blocked and Orton just fell flat on his head. -
Did Axl no-show again?

"the fact that their cruiserweight's means absolutely nothing" Agreed if this was WCW 1992-1998 or ECW, but it's WWE. We've learned that cruiserweights will always be booked like shit, jobbed, and forgotten about. See: Helms title reign. Mysterio title reign. Kendrick & London's title reign. Helms wrestles on Velocity against jobbers. Rey loses cleanly every other week. Kendrick & London job on Velocity and Smackdown. SENSE A PATTERN? Your argument was a "classic feel". Fans need attachment and a sense of a team having a future to actually CARE and make something feel classic, and raw with emotion. Sadly, it wasn't the case.

You forget that Kendrick and London wrestle on Smackdown. Which averages, what, 5 matches a show? A Tatanka vignette. A Jillian match. The World Champ getting squashed. Bobby Lashley acting like Goldberg. And Finley with a Leprechaun. I'd pop somewhat for a normal tag team match.

Another Rudo stupid call: "Kurt can't wrestle that style for shit" I seem to remember him schooling Brock Lesnar in a shoot a year or so after Lesnar won the NCAA Title. -

Rudo, Angle's gameplan was mat wrestling and humiliation, not boring MMA submissions that the ECW crowd would sleep on. -

Cena's no longer listed as WWE Champ on the Raw Superstars page. Making 2 Cold Benjamin the new top of the page champion. -
The "Same Old Shit" mass scroll between the legions of 14 year old wigger girls made me smile.

Benoit/Finlay was booked differently, as was the entire PPV, than the ECW show. This was about brawling, grudges, and moving away from WWE after the matches. Stop comparing apples to oranges. "the spot with Rey bleeding under his mask beats anything ECW did tonight" Sabu DDT. - MNM/Kendrick & London was a great match that had a "classic" tag match feel to it. - Cause in the "classic" days they took two cruisers who who were a combined 1-15 on TV and the fans could not possibly take LESS seriously and then devalue the tag champs by jobbing them 5 times and then booking a PPV match between them. "Classic feel". It was a good WWE tag match. "It was like something out of 1980's Tennesee or Georgia with the face-in-peril and hope spots and such." Dear God. Just because you write for this site doesn't mean you have to embarass yourself by trying to sound like a DVDVR writer who's pimping historical goodness, and then not even coming close to any type of sane thought.

The billions of fans offering Cena support on his MySpace have obviously changed booking plans.

Hey guess what? ECW fans and WWE fans like different things and get different levels of enjoyment from different things. Rudo has his opinions. Some things he sees as "horrible". I saw similar horrible things. But some look past that and find greater excitement in smaller things than some. Tonight's ECW PPV was like a really hyped up hot chick that you get a big boner about that turns out to be a dude. For some people, just getting a stiffy was good enough. So let them be happy about the PPV. Maybe things will change as the TV show starts.

I swear The History of WCW will be back up. I'm just terribly lazy, though I've got all the results typed.

Billy and Bart had a fun little sequence in that KOTR bout.

This reminds me of a sad song. " 'Cause Everybody needs a friend...even The Pelican Man." (true smarks got that)

Edge Vs. Cena may be a red-herring to get the ECW fans who feel cheated out of RVD's lame victory to watch, since they expect Cena to be awarded back the title. I think the main event of Vengeance will be Cena Vs. Edge Vs. RVD, with Cena pinning Edge. -
I honestly feel bad for anyone that bought this piece of shit, rip-off, non-finish-filled infomercial for the TV show and Vengeance. No "Enter Sandman". The anticipated tag match sees the ECW locker room DO NOTHING as Beulah is about to mutilated by WWE stars, and then has the FINISH involve a valet that had nothing to do with the feud. The big main event sees nothing more than build-up to Vengeance, and a disputed bullshit title win that even a blind man could see will be changed on Raw. Anyone "celebrating" the title win at that show is just silly. What was the point of flying in Tanaka? To take one chairshot? Super Crazy looked sluggish. JBL's segment was quite pointless. Tazz/Lawler was a horrible choice to start the show and an even worse match to advertise. _________ I loved Angle/Orton. Awesome WRESTLING match. Sabu/Mysterio was a very fun match with a horrible WWE-booked ending. I feel bad for those who paid to see it, and saw that horse shit at the end.

Edge actually speared himself through the table and missed Cena. One of about 10 dissapointing/botched things about this shitty PPV.

The Juggernaut Bitch is so clever. It's not a bunch of people just talking over the show. They're smart, deliver inside lines, assess funny things, and make you laugh. From Banshee's Jamaican colors, to Bret Hart, the Pimp Cane, a true Mon Ami, "I want it, I want it, I want it", and the ultra cool showdown between Gladiator and Jugs, it's just great. "YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS? THIS MOTHERFUCKER TALKIN' BOUT ME!?" "Better not be takin' Juggernaut pussy!" It's beautiful.

"IRON MAN is at the level of X-MEN and SPIDER-MAN and HULK" Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. That's a moronic comment. No one fucking read Iron Man for decades. For God's sake, they were so out of ideas that they ripped off Green Lantern and made the new Iron Man (technically the same Tony) a Kyle Rayner lookalike to freshen things up. X-Men/Spider-Man = Top 10 Diamond sales Iron Man = "Let's throw Venom in this issue! Wait, how about War Machine! Fight! Oh, we're #79 in sales this month?" -
3 friends and I are going to the "Stadium Grille" in Westchester, PA. They have 3 big-screens with the PPV, 10 overhead TVs, and a TV in every little booth you sit in to heat. We got sloshed at Mania and pissed off the crowd by marking for Orton's every move.
-
I suggest you read "Inferno" and see Longshot's "pathetic powers" result in Dazzler and Rogue fighting over who gets to be his girlfriend, as well as 'Shot being the last X-Man standing during a battle with Sinister, the Marauders, and Goblin Queen.
-
Most of those are gimmick matches are essentially are "toss-ups" due to the nature of the stipulations. I think we want examples of "wrestling matches" and seeing the heel effectively put over, cleanly, as the better wrestler. Evolution interfered in the NWO '03 match.
