ECW Coming Back Full Time in Sept

That's *just* what Punk needs - a re-hash of a feud that the ECW fanbase has probably already seen done, and Paul E booking an anti-ECW "Crusader" program that the fans already shit on last year at One Night Stand.

Easily. You have RVD mouth off about Edge the next week. Foley and his boy Edge show up. Foley challenges RVD to a match at One Night Stand. RVD says thanks, but no deal. I've already got plans for that night. But there is this guy who's 10x crazier than you that I used to team with. He'll face you. Before that announcement, RVD starts putting over Cena, respect, making Trips tap, great champion, blah blah...wants a title shot. Foley and Edge attack RVD during said promo. Cena makes save. Stare-down after. Vince books Foley/Edge Vs. Cena/RVD. Fresh main. Still got 2-3 weeks to build an already sold-out and must order PPV. The main event that is. EDIT: Meltzer reports RVD will most likely make his ONS title shot known tonight on Raw. ________ Did you really just ask me how to not have Cena play a heel at the ECW PPV? And by the way, Cena is a heel already. Not a traditional one. But a heel already nonetheless due to the "cool thing" (which is getting OLD, btw) being to boo his every move. He rips on fans that boo him, labeling them "haters", and more than 50% of the crowd despises him. While smarks may say "No no, he doesn't ACT like a heel!", in truth he does. He is being booked to be outsmarted and out-popped, and is responding to more than half the crowd in a negative fashion by denouncing them as non-loyalists. The above may be fantasy booking, but it'd be fresh, and a helluva lot more meaningful long-term then throwing fucking JBL or Rey, two non-credible champions, into a match with RVD. WWE Van Dam isn't a credible champion either, don't get me wrong. But if Van Dam is allowed to carry the company as he did ECW, as the most over wrestler and #1 babyface, everything will be fine. I've been waiting to hear Van Dam's true mic skills more some time now. Because they DO exist and they are not only good, but believable. He's amazing when in "truthful stoner who's a cocky prick" mode, something that Cena, when at his best as a heel doing "raps" was nowhere near able to touch. If they don't do Cena Vs. RVD, consider ONS2 already a dud. "And (Taz) I know, you've been watching me in the ring, and you're impressed & jealous...just like everybody else. But look at what the critics are saying, Taz. They're calling me the Best Wrestler in the Whole Fucking World. Did anybody ever say that to YOU, Taz? Anybody ever come up after one of your four-minute championship defenses and say 'TAZ! That was the best match I've ever seen!' How about 'Best Match of the Year?' Probably not. Anybody say, 'Best Match of the Night' ? No, Taz. Don't you think there's a reason that Rob Van Dam hears that shit every single night? Add this to the equation: I really want to beat your ass. I'm really looking forward to it, Taz. Survive, if I let you, Taz. Against Rob Van Dam. The Whole Fucking Show." That's a promo you build a fanbase around. Not the corny shit Cena spews. And the PPV buys will be there if they do book this. "The question isn't 'Is Rob Van Dam gonna beat Bam Bam Bigelow and win the TV Title.' No, no. The REAL question is: How is Rob Van going to carry around 2 title belts and his partner, at the same time?"

Based on what I've seen so far, I'll take Flash over Wagner.

Gammons and company made a big fuss about poor Barry having to stand in the outfield and his knee getting "weak" by the 6th inning. I also saw a Phils fan, with a Phils hat and Yankees jersey (?!?!?) talk smack to Barry as he got up from the dugout to take some swings. Only problem was: Barry's mom was aproximately 8 feet from the fan. She looked at him and shook his head. Aww. Does anyone have a photo of the rumored "kid dressed as a syringe" from the first game of the series?

Al, I'm very optimistic about the Phillies this year. I think Rowand, Utley, and Rollins have definately taken charge of the team, and its made Burrell and Abreu push themselves hard and contibute more. Abreu, as much as I think he was overrated in seasons past, has been really impressive this year and I've found myself rooting for him. And Big Sal's my hero. They left the bases loaded to end the inning in two straight innings. That's what I was commenting about. The Giants SUCK and this shoulda been over already. I don't think they can afford to leave 6 stranded in 2 innings time against the Mets.

Phillies need to blow this game open already against the gray-haired pitching unit of the Giants.

Foley turns on RVD, leads to Sabu's debut. Sabu/Foley would be different at ONS II. Put Funk in there with Sandman. You also get Edge to take the IC title off RVD and do a Douglas'-esque TV title reign: great heel mic work and a female "slut" manager, from a guy that's held the top belt already and raises the value of the midcard strap.

"Bonds hits a home run off Leiber for first time in 7 years!" ESPN's really stretching for Bonds factoids, given that Bonds was out last year and Leiber was with the Yanks before that.

    The Face Book

Facebook got big here before MySpace did, about 2 years ago or such. Facebook is kinda left in the dust now. I did wind up having sex on the floor of one of our residence halls with a girl who "Poked" me on facebook though, and after a thorough inspection from the health clinic I am STD free, so I have nothing bad to say about this online friend device.

    Mission Impossible 3

I really liked the first and hated the second, I plan on seeing this before Memorial Day Weekend. If it sucks, oh well, still got X-Men 3. Question: I saw pt. 2 once, like 4 years ago. Is there any reason to re-watch it in terms of plot tying in with/going into the 2nd one? Not that I remember 2 having much of a plot to begin with.

    Better Angle: NWO or Austin/McMahan

What was the "real" Vince Vs. Austin blowoff? Austin Vs. Vince at the Skydome Raw? Austin Vs. Vince at SVDM? Austin Vs. The Rock at WM 15 (with Vince all over the scene, mind you) Austin Vs. Undertaker "End of an Era" Austin and McMahon become friends and play guitar songs? Austin f's over Vince at Invasion? Team WWF beats Austin's rebellious team at Survivor Series 01?

    Best A-Train Matches

T & A and Trish Vs. Hardyz & Lita - Fully Loaded 2000. After a few mishaps, it gets REAL good. I mark out huge for A-Train's spot where he swings his right arm to clothesline Matt, Matt ducks it, and then from behind Matt gets leveled with the LEFT arm. ________ A-Train/Kane series was hot. Including Kane doing a Frankensteiner. ________ A-Train as a babyface with Scotty was a guilty pleasure team. I liked seeing the crowd support Albert and pop for him, even though the team wasn't really going anywhere. Vengeance's Albert/Scott Vs. Test/Christian was cool, as I was a big fan of 3 of them at the time.

I thought the London/Akio matches were really overrated. I like both guys styles a TON, too. I know they're capable of so much more when not constrained to work how The E wants them to. Aside from one spot where London totally went headfirst into the mat off the ropes, I believe, nothing stands out as memorable. Better than seeing Animal and Tatanka work, but not deserving of so much hype, IMO, anyway. But I'll be the first to watch them hook it up again and hopefully top themselves. What's up with London, BTW? He won a four-way "#1 Contender's Match" for the Cruiser Title just as Helms got hurt. Never got a title shot. Now he's obviously the #1 co-contender for the tag titles. And he just pinned Helms on Smackdown in a six-man. MAKE UP YOUR MINDS, BOOKERS.

That makes absolutely no sense. Why would Show & Henry take less money at all for however many dates? They're working every show now.

Alright, so Finlay is awesome and most of us love the guy.

I don't see how this couldn't be seen as a good thing. "Lucky Charms hits the ring, oh no Tazz, he has the chair! Wait, Benoit sees him...Crippler Crossface!"
