No way. But DX Vs. The Spirit Squad (2 Vs. 5) would be fun for the tag titles. -

I think the big announcement will be the suspension of Triple H. The guy hit a referee in the face with a sledgehammer. Enter: DX -

I'd like to see an Edge/RVD mini-feud. Tonight, Edge has Foley on the Cutting Edge. I suspect some ECW stuff will come up. Perfect time to bring RVD to the table do some RVD/Edge mic work. Edge's "kinda shoot" promos would rock if he brought up "flippy floppy moves" and marijuana smoking. Who knows, JR *did* mention the 4:20 thing last night. -

What *should* have happened: Shelton def. RVD by DQ when RVD is caught using a chair Shelton brought into the ring. Shelton says "titles can't change hands ona DQ...but your briefcase isn't a title", claims MITB briefcase. RVD wins rematch because of dubious outcome on Raw. _____ Now they've got the IC Title on RVD and jobbed Shelton for no reason. -

Don't worry, Ginger Snaps, Vince never "grabbed Candice's breasts". Whoever said that is doing more bad reportin'. He placed his hands on her shoulders, and she told him it was a chest cold and to go lower, and he placed his hands on her hips and sides, obviously somewhat intimidated. She moaned and screamed as he screamed "HEAL!!!! HEAL THIS WOMAN DAMNIT!", it was actually quite funny, unlike the match. ShaneO got him out of there and Candice fell off the couch and rolled around. -

Cabbageboy, cool you got to see the show, but I disagree with you about Cena. The crowd loudly boo'd everytime Cena made an offensive maneuver. A punch was BOO'd. In contrast, the crowd loudly cheered everytime Triple H made an offensive maneuever. A punch, spinebuster, facebuster, clothesline, etc. were cheered. The crowd booed heavily when Cena was on the mic backstage. The crowd popped huge when Cena mentioned Triple H possibly winning the title. Edge had absolutely no heat in the match. Edge IS a great heel, and gets heat in his other bouts, but he was in a weird situation of being the odd man out in the bout. Edge spent a ton of time on the floor or being double-teamed. Honestly, the only reason Edge was in the match was to make the WM rematch appear more fresh. __________ The reason they cheered for Cena pinning Triple H was because it was a surprising, hot finish to a good match. They're begging Cena to get crushed. Don't believe me? When Cena had Edge up for the FU during the finish, Triple H low-blows him to a HUGE POP. He then loads him up for the Pedigree and the FANS POP. The roll-up by Cena then gets a BIG POP. It's exciting! The Cena girls/teens were excited. The crowd was very vocal for Cena positively, but also very negative. I'd say the arena was split 65/35 in favor of Triple H, with Cena putting it best, "That silence is the sound of no one wanting to see Edge win the WWE Title." Watch when Cena and Triple H play pinball with Edge's head throwing punches. BOO...YAY...BOO...YAY...BOO...YAY. And watch when Cena and Triple H take turns bouncing Edge's head (like 12 times) off the announcer's table. BOO...YAY...BOO...YAY. Well-worked, exciting, gory, fun match. With Triple H, Cena, and Edge of all people...3 guys who last year at different points were totally shitted on by the internet. The PPV may have blown, but the main event delivered. -

I look on JR's face after McMahon/Candice segment had the entire bar I was at exploding in laughter. -
Rey Mysterio saved the unimpressive, poorly booked Cruiserweight division in 1996. His first big American exposure (besides the AAA PPV) was in ECW. WCW stole him from ECW. Thus, I guess WWE is giving ECW some credit for the Cruiserweight division. I remember the hype for Sabu Vs. RVD (ECW's first Cablevision/major PPV carrier PPV) being that of "5 stars, this may be the greatest wrestling match ever." Oh well.

Lita actually didn't get spinebustered on the chair...but damn she came close. That would've been quite the injury. The chair bouncing off her head probably saved her career. -

Thoughts: Carlito is gold. He sells like a champ. The match with Masters was average. Masters BOTCHING A KICKOUT was horrible. Shame the Women's Title match got f'd over, it was going well. Flair looked horrible in appearence and wrestling-wise. Squashed by Umaga, jeez...I thought the loss to Rico the Stylist in '02 was bad. Kane/Big Show was beyond horrible. Striker's classroom was filler, but Striker's amazingly comfortable and entertaining on the stick. Not offended. RVD/Shelton went SOOOOO SLOWWWW for 15 minutes. I was predicting a 30-minute draw by the 20 minute mark (or so my friend claimed was 20 minutes in...might be wrong). Got better, though. These two just always look OFF when they face each other. The 5 star was awesome. Shelton looked like a great champ, oh well. McMahon backstage skits went from lame to funny. HBK Handicap Match was pretty average, with a horrible ending. Michaels and Shane's bumps made it watchable. Main Event kicked ass. Liked it a lot. Everyone looked like a star, but Edge was bullied and "thrown out of the ring for minutes..." way too much. Triple H'd blade job was awesome. The end was great. Looking forward to a double-FU sometime. Methink D-Generation X Vs. The Spirit Squad is coming soon after Vince "punishes" Triple H tomorrow for his actions at the end of the match. Carlito Vs. Masters - * 1/2 Women's Title - * McMahons Vs. HBK - ** Kane Vs. Big Show - * Flair Vs. Umaga - 1/2 * RVD Vs. Shelton - ** 1/2 Three-Way Main Event - *** 1/2 -
Well Crush turned heel before any Yoko sneak attack on Savage, if that happened. It was at a special "Savage/Crush Summit" where Crush turned heel, and pressed Savage mouth-first into the guard rail to establish the feud. Crush blamed Savage for not checking on him when Crush was in the hospital after the Bonzai Drops. As if Crush and Savage were suddenly the best of friends or something.

Here's the explanation: The stip. for the Sting/Nash Vs. Savage/Sid match was that whoever pinned Kevin Nash would be World Champion...even Nash's (the champ) partner Sting! This made no sense, obviously, how can a partner pin a partner? So WCW kind of revised it while being very obvious that they themselves had no idea how to book the match. Basically, it came down to "Winner of the fall gets the title belt". Savage had the fake Sting attack Nash to create dissention and distrust in an already shaky team.

The fan and his asshole entourage hit Hero in the back. Maybe you should let everyone know that before starting a topic about wrestlers and how far things go in entertainment, when they are ASSAULTED by customers.

Didn't Road Dogg say "tits" (the above Henry reference from summer 1998 Nation-impersonating DX sketch). Whatever the word was (pecs, tits...), they bleeped it on Raw in the U.S.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

I believe a WCW made a guest backstage interviewer of a teenager/young adult with Down's Syndrome to do the interviews for the Marcus Alexander Bagwell Vs. The Taylor-Made Man match at SuperBrawl 2. -
His look adds to him being a monster, and his over-the-top expressions and power moves, no matter how scary, give him a good enough portrayal of this sadistic evil character. His technical wrestling skills are non-existant. But not every wrestler needs to be a technical wrestler. I don't really want him on TV, but there's a lot worse that could be on, i.e. McMahons wrestling, Divas, The Coach, unpushed lower carders in meaningless matches.

Angle Injured by Mark Fucking Henry

JBL Vs. RVD would kill ECW. It needs to start with a BANG. Not RVD pinning a guy that's been beaten by everyone and their mother in the past 12 months. -
Mark Henry has awesome theme music, but poor wrestling skills and terrible mic skills. I don't mind him, though, since he plays a monster well. He looks like a tough, evil Street Fighter character and seems to legitimately be able to injure someone at any time. Works for me.

In comparison to Smackdown, imagine if in a 6-month period on Raw: Shelton quit and went to TNA. RVD died. Cena went out with injury. Triple H went out with injury. Edge was indefinately suspended. The main event of Backlash is Ric Flair (defending) Vs. Kane. That's a close of comparison to Smackdown!'s troubles as I can get. It's absolutely amazing that they can still run shows with Taker never around, and their top 4 main eventers (Angle, Orton, Batista, and Eddie) all injured, deceased, or suspended. Now we'll get a lovely 4-month program with JBL and Rey. -
