Think Houston rebounds tonight?

This whole "The Dean being a prick to Seth/Summer" thing is really forced. Ohterwise, AWESOME season. I'm currently on Episode 3. Summer's tirade on Taylor is great. But the Dean "making them" do school spirit crap, plus him being there at every corner, "ONE MORE TIME, THERE WILL BE CONSEQUENCES!" is kinda cheesy. Go away Charlotte.

The worker's celebrity persona, or persona in which they can ply their trade to the most people, is based on the athlete/star they are portraying. In the case of Hollywood, you clearly are presented with "This is a man/woman portraying someone else for 2 hours." With their real name given before the character name. In the case of the worker, that "2 hour movie" is an entire career.

Looks really, really bad. Reminds me of "Jason X" with cheesy crew look. I love how the commercials hype the "newspaper ads", when the ads only point out how the show was cancelled. -

"Fuck UTSHU if he believes that's he a stat monkey - he's the reason that they're not a joke in the NL East, being passed by the Mets, Marlins and Expos." I didn't know the Expos were a team. And he's far from the reason they're not a joke. The players who actually care (Rollins, Utley, Howard, i.e. youth & dedication) would be that. Abreu just hits home runs every now and then and gets RBIs. But not in big-time situations. Keep bitching about the Phillies being good all you want. All they've been good at is being the NL Bridesmaid...and since they can't even get in the Playoffs, they're more like the Flower Boy.

I've always defended fraternities, the good ones at least. We had a "Box of Wine" race last night, 3 teams. 3 guys Vs. Me and 2 girls Vs. 3 girls. The guys won easily, in ridiculous time. The team of 3 girls sleeps over. Basically, I come home from class this morning at 11:30 AM and two of them are still sleeping on the couches. One of them shit our couch. Little, petite thing shit the couch. The couch. Where we sit. I kid not at all. And for the first time, I am utterly disgusted by Greek Life. I know it isnt the frat's fault, but these were sorority girls. And perhaps if we didnt partake in stupid shit like "Box of Wine Race", a girl wouldn't have shit on my couch.

Who is the greatest Tag Team
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to CanadianGuitarist's topic in General Wrestling
In no way was I bashing Tully (my favorite NWA Star ever) and Arn. But for a "greatest 16" to be established without The Steiners is just silly. And your comment about "by the time the Steiners got to the WWF, the division was lesser"... In 1992, we had awful workrate teams: - Natural Disasters (fat guys) - Nasty Boys (brawlers) - Beverly Brothers (heatless, Zzzz...) - Legion of Doom (quite boring, but really didn't work 92 all that match) - Money Inc (they'd BECOME great, but were doing the stall/countout gimmick) - Bushwackers (c'mon...) By 1993, we got: - Steiners (bringing the workrate) - Money, Inc (putting on better matches including awesome cage match w/ Steiners) - Heavenly Bodies (worked good/great matches with Steiners) - Headshrinkers (work in progress, but fresh) - Quebecers (while not workrate machines, had mega heat) I'd say 93 > 92, simply based on better matches without 400 lb fat guys, sloppy brawlers, or power hosses. -

Aha. The DVD's awesome and cheap. Think I got it at Wal-Mart for 12.99. -
Okay Al, I'm an idiot. Everything I said was true. The reason I didn't include Abreu on my list of keepers is because there's no way both Burrell and Abreu are coming back, and due to Abreu's big fat lazy-man contract, he most likely won't be shopped. So I picked Burrell because he at least tries, as poor as the results are. Have fun when the Phillies are forced to keep Thome and Howard is jolted into the outfield or another of Elmer Fudd's GENIOUS moves is made.

Elmer Fudd disagrees.

The Phillies do not deserve the playoffs after losing to fucking Ishii. JE-SUS. I'm not gonna bash the team. They brought some good games to us with some awesome comeback wins. But they're not good enough to be in the playoffs. The bottom 1/3 of the order, the bullpen, and the pinch hitters are HORENDOUS. Argue otherwise and I'll point you to this series. The most important series of the year. Way to go. Eskin reports that Ed Wade will probably be gone, despite the 2-yr extension, due to its low payout and the potential buyout. Good fucking riddance. Get rid of the League's Worst Manager while you're at it, as well as Leibethal, Bell, Urbina, Chavez, Tucker, Perez, Geary, Madson, and THE WORST RELIEF MAN EVER who I won't even name. (Wait, someone will say "HEY! WE CAN'T UNLOAD ALL OF THEM! And try to defend their spots...wait for it...wait for it...) The symbolic "E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!" chant that came 2 nights ago in the 8th when fans less enthusiastic but apparently more intelligent and future-seeing than me was correct. Gut this team, with the exception of Myers, Rollins, Utley, Howard, and I guess Burrell. Eh, for what it's worth...it was a fun last couple of weeks. But in the grand sceme of things, IT WAS A POOR SEASON, based on what they were capable of and the horrible quality of NL teams contending for the postseason. Break a leg, next year, guys. Perhaps you'll amaze me just like David Bell did tonight. Because as he was being thrown out BY TEN FEET with the *TEAM'S BEST HITTER* up next in a CLUTCH situation, he amazed me by somehow hurting his finger, which somehow, for once, wasn't stuck up his rear end on the bases.

Or JBL, Eddy, and Christian Vs. Batista, Benoit, and Rey in a six-man with Eddy "pretending to be a face" and causing Christian to lose, helping Batista win.

Basically the same as the DVD except in pictures. Do you read it before you purchase? -
Shelton's debut was actually very lackluster, occuring on Sunday Night Heat in 2002. The name "Bobby Lashley" will NOT catch on. He, however, is impressive, knows how to work a crowd, and has decent entertainment skills. Upon watching him, and a major detractor of all the crap WWE tries to shove down our throats, I thought: "Ring introduction is ridiculous but necessary." "Monty Brown." "Better than Monty Brown." "Ha, slamming Dean like a basketball." "Man, crowd is popping big...and it's not canned." "YES! Dominator!" "This guy didn't offend me. Thus, better than 90% of SD!'s roster."
-
Shut the fuck up. Benoit has the same amount of wins on TV this year as JOHN FUCKING CENA, and more than Batista. His World Title win, while not spectacular, wasn't awful. Certainly more "BIG TIME" matches than Cena and Batista's reigns COMBINED. Stop being bitter. And it's not 1999-2000. Stop pimping Benoit as the "best in-ring performer". He's well past his prime, although still very good. The overall lack of WWE product has made you silly.
-
"not Monty Brown" He can work a crowd better and has a better build. Plus he used Brown's finisher as a "pop the crowd, non-finisher". And the DOMINATOR rules. Lashley > Brown

My God, you people totally missed the parody of Dazed n Confused, complete with Donny, Jeff, and Melvin in their DnC attire, and NO MORE MR. NICE GUY...Dude. I think that was Sunday, right? ADad was great, BTW.

Jeez, Burrell. Tough, tough loss.

Off to watch the end. :::cross Phillies:::: CMON JROL. I wanna hear Kalas mark out again this week.

True, but I think you'd rather take your chance of saving Billy for 10-12 innings than relying on the Super Worst Bullpen Ever Friends.
-
That's awesome SF came back and won, as San Diego in the playoffs would be embarassing. After getting major props and highlights from Berman on Sportscenter last night, the Phils and their "comeback magic" need a big 9th.

Horrible 8th inning for Phillies with Bell and Tucker having craptastic at bats.
