2005 WWE Television Win-Loss Record & Standings

Til he goes heel on Friday Smackdown. -
I'm watching, or was watching (season ended) Entourage, Season 2. I think its the best season of TV in quite some time. I got really hooked on Entourage Season 1, but in all honestly, it was VERY mediocre. I thought the show had so much promise and creativity to explore, and damn, did season 2 get there. I highly reccomend it. For all you OC fans, Melinda Clarke shows up in a very "Mrs. Cooper" type role, and they drop a few funny lines about the show.

The death of VHS is coming very shortly.

For every one Star Wars fan that "cherishes the original trilogy the way it SHOULD BE" there are 1) one of those fans probably dying from heart attacks or high cholesterol and 2) two new kids who are seeing the special editions and new CGI prequels and saying "Shut the fuck up, fanboys...your 1980s flicks look lame. Where's my Sidekick, mom?" So I'm sure George Lucas is taking all the criticism from the old generation REALLY to heart. -
2005 WWE Television Win-Loss Record & Standings

Well I wouldn't call 3 losses for Cena "so many". Offhand, his losses would be: - Eliminated from the 2005 Royal Rumble - U.S. Title loss to Orlando Jordan - Non-Title loss to Carlito (Jericho referee) -

Big update for ya, all up to date. The standings don't lie. Batista, Benoit, and Cena are well-pushed champions...Nunzio and Carlito have horrid pushes...and somehow Heidenreich has 3x+ as many TV victories as Christian. -
Shelton Vs. Angle was actually dissapointing to me. I mean, it was a solid match, especially for Raw, which is usually filled up with unover people like Matt Hardy, Chris Masters, and Viscera bringing the crap. However, it could've been so much more, if it was given a lot of time on a PPV. Would've seen counters and much more. But the way JR sold it as "WOW! WHAT A MATCH!" was silly.

Tombstone: The History of the Undertaker

Well since it wound up NOT being the "One Night Only" that WWE would end up running "UK Exclusive" PPVs, I don't mind revisionist history calling ONO "In Your House: One Night Only". One Night Only is an important event, or at least moreso than any other UK Exclusive PPV ever. It was hyped heavily on Raw, with angles and matches from it covered the next day on Raw afterward. -
Flair has never held the WCW World Tag Team Titles.
-
"Naitch showed more actual wresting in that two minutes than he has in the last dozen or so matches he's been in." I take it you missed Flair's last and longest match to date, Vs. Kurt Angle, a month ago.
-
They're doing Raven/Dreamer with Edge/Matt, BTW. Stop bitching. Did everyone cry "OMG! Burying Tommy! This is WRONG" when Raven got the upperhand every time? No. Give it time.
-
I added Conway to my fantasy team. Should get extra points for squashing Matt off to TNA.
-
When did Triple H have a "good, memorable" match with Eddie Guerrero? Surely you couldn't mean the "Draft Lottery" match.
-
Sept-Dec are usually the "horrible, dark times" for WWE... With 2005 being one of the worst years of in-ring product of all-time, this could be BAD.

Tonight begins the month-long prologue of the Four Horsemen in WWE.

Graham, Sounds awesome bro. Had Missy on a radio show a few years ago and she was an angel, and very candid. She gets a lotta shit from the 'net, but I think she's amazing. -
Jericho does live in Florida, I believe...

"Bret vs. Shawn at Survivor Series 92 is a 4 1/2 star match -- that should be on there." ** It's not and it shouldn't. It's good but not essential Bret stuff, IMO. Bret vs. Nash at SS 95 should also be on there. Another 4 1/4 match. ** This is pretty essential. Rated a little high I think, but AWESOME match, with Bret stopping the year-long title reign. Needs to be there. But would Bret want a NASH match on? Possibly to show his carrying skills? ** What about Bret's KOTR 93 run? Vs. Razor is pretty damn good but forgettable and not important. Vs. Perfect is *THE BEST* Hennig/Hart match, better than their 89 and 91 clashes anyways. SHOULD BE ON THERE. Vs. Bigelow is better than it should've been but an overbooked mess. I'd leave it off and just show maybe the coronation. Bret/Owen vs. Steiners is a 4 3/4 star match, whereas the Road Warriors match prettty much sucks. ***No it's not but it's really good. Your throw stars around like a crazed ninja. Neither are essential Bret. HORRIBLE cop-out ending to Steiners/Hart, but solid match. Hart vs. Flair at Souled Out 98 was really good... *** They did much better in WWE. Hart's title win should be on there...it's his first. Hart vs. Benoit shouldn't be on the DVD *** I agree. nor should the Iron Man Match against Shawn *** I agree, but it's Bret's call, not ours. If it was WWE's call, it most definately would NOT be on here, IMO. Hart Foundation vs. Strike Force and Hart Foundation vs. Brainbusters were awesome matches. *** Which ones? neither belong on here. All Yokozuna matches should be stricken from the DVD. *** Uh...okay. Yoko was an awesome worker, though. If you're gonna diss him for being a "fat guy", just remember, Yoko has had better matches than Rob Van Dam ever has. Of course, Hart vs. Austin at SS 96 and the preceding storyline of Austin calling the Hitman, "Shitman" should be on there. *** I agree. Bret/Austin Series 96 and WM 13 need to be there.

Tombstone: The History of the Undertaker
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Slickster's topic in The WWE Folder
I just bought "Tombstone" at Wal-Mart for $21.88...3 discs, 10 hours, I'll letcha know about match lengths in a little bit, I'm puttin' some on now. There is no extra "main feature". The whole disc is the "main feature", but UNLIKE the Michaels: From the Vault DVD we get a whole mess of buildup and "what he did on the way to the PPV" stuff. Not just matches as chapters, and certain interview/matches (including ONE NIGHT ONLY) as "extras". THE DVD CASE Weird. Inside the DVD the discs come in a "3-stack", which REALLY is lame, and can have them be scratched more easily. It's the left side with the insert for WWE 24/7, PPV calendar, and the Tombstone insert, and the right side just had the 3 DVDs stacked on top of each other. Lame. Off to watch... OH MY GOD JAKE PUT A SNAKE IN MISS ELIZABETH'S BOX!!!!! Wait... DISC ONE Taker's debut Taker/Bearer Superstars (logo background) promo Taker roughs up Warrior Taker roughs up Snuka Taker roughs up Hogan Taker Vs. Hogan - Survivor Series 91 -full Clip of Taker taking out Jake Taker Vs. Yokozuna - full plus postmatch "death" Taker Vs. Diesel - full Taker Vs. Mankind BURIED ALIVE - full plus postmatch stuff Taker Vs. Mankind Revenge of Taker - full match too Vs. Bret BUILD UP Vs. Bret SummerSlam 97 full match DISC ONE EXTRAS All the promos you've already seen and read about. PLUS THE FULL 31 MINUTE ONE NIGHT ONLY Vs. Bret Match _______ In Summary: Based on Disc 1, I'd say all matches are in full, with a few minutes of what led Taker to the match between each. Really cool historic disc, even if some of the matches suck. And for whoever doubted it... There IS Undertaker Vs. Kurt Angle from September 03 Smackdown! for the title. Full matches: Vs. Hogan - SSeries 91 Vs. Hogan - Judgment Day 2002 Vs. Yoko - Rumble 94 Vs. Diesel - WM 12 Vs. Mankind - Buried Alive Vs. Mankind - Revenge of the Taker Vs. Mankind - KOTR 98 Vs. Bret - SummerSlam Vs. Brock - No Mercy 2002 Vs. Cena - Vengeance 2003 Vs. Mr. McMahon - SSeries 03 Vs. Angle - Smackdown Sept 03 -
I like the Benoit squash thing. Adds realism to the show. If this was the NBA, a game you're expecting to be close, say Spurs (Benoit) Vs. Pistons (Jordan, and I ONLY say this because Jordan, in WWE universe, is a high-ranking champion), could end up in a blowout. Not every match, nor sporting event, is a down-to-the-wire, HE JUST SQUEAKED A WIN OUT affair. That's what makes the really close ones even more important and special. Good for Benoit.... Spurs 87, Pistons 58 Really, even if Benoit had carried Jordan to a 19-minute affair which saw Jordan bust out suplex variations, hit a flying crossbody to the second row, and do a WM 13 Austin finish to earn "respect"....IT IS ORLANDO FUCKING JORDAN. He can't work at this level. No one cares. Squash City, I like it.

All updated, with Smackdown's best chasing down Cena... -
Almost passed out in the 3rd row at the 311 show yesterday, just SO freakin' hot and dehydrated. Good show, some strange song choices at times.

I really want to see Wedding Crashers today but i think I'll be dissapointed with anything after seeing 40-Year.
