I still stand by my argument about Abreu's pumped up stats from years past, and early this year before his recent July slump, meaning very little to the team's success. And I still contend that this team cannot win a title with a guy like Abreu. However, I won't be a prick and not respond in a positive way when he does meaningful things, such as tonight. Edit: As quick as they took a lead, they lost it. Sigh.

I found this bumper not so funny. But Adult Swim definately sucks ass. Family Guy isn't really an "AS Show" anymore, as it airs on FOX and TBS, and anyone who's a big-time fan of the show most likely has the old eps on DVD. Futurama is a big hit or big miss show. Aqua Teen is good. But that's repeats, repeats, and 15 minutes of every-now-and-then new episodes of Aqua Teen. The rest fucking blows, too much crappy Anime.

Bagwell was always a horrible worker. Difference was, when he was working babyface (literally), he had some crowd support to keep heat in the matches, as well as some partners who were over as well to differing degrees (Patriot, 2 Cold Scorpio). Once Bagwell went permanent heel, he and his equally boring partners, including Norton (when unmotivated), Shane Douglas, Scott Steiner, and Lex Luger were seen for what they really were: Bland mounds of rest-holds.

I would have loved the following: Super over Austin chases the WWF Title, held by evil Bret, leading up to WM 14... Which is held in Toronto, Canada. It would've been a "Rocky 4" type PPV, with the super hero going into a foreign country against all odds, as millions at home cheer for him but the home crowd rips him to shreds. Would've been something new.

Let me remind of you of some of the little things that people FORGET bogged WCW down in 1993: 1) The U.S. Title Situation: Rude was stripped of the title, so Dustin got it. Rude came back and worked Dustin for the title in some AWFUL matches. Dustin had an exciting 92. So did Rude. But they SUCKED together. And worked each other OVER...and OVER...and OVER...again. 2) Awful "new" talent brought in, and pushed heavily on TV & PPV: The Shockmaster. "Jungle" Jim Steele. The Equalizer. Big Sky. Yoshi Kwan. Kensuke Sasaki. Paul Roma. Tex Slazenger. Shanghai Pierce. 3) Regal's TV Title Reign: I have no problem with Regal. Don't get me wrong. But the booking for his title reign, complete with 70's heel foreign manager Sir William and a year of time limit draws (starting in Sept 93), which we had just GOTTEN with Steve Austin's title reign is NOT what the division needed. Putting Regal over the likes of Ricky Steamboat was horrible. 4) The World Title(s) Scene(s) were AWFUL. Much like today, the World Title scene was seen as weak, thanks in part to two titles being defended. We had Vader, with the WCW World Title. As much as a "MONSTER" as Vader was booked, much of 1993 saw Vader not defending the title on PPV (SuperBrawl - NON TITLE, Beach Blast - NON TITLE, Battlebowl - NO TITLE MATCH, Halloween Havoc - NON TITLE) or retaining the title by DQ (SLAMBOREE). Devalued the title. Barry Windham, Ric Flair, and Rick Rude fought for the meaningless "NWA World Title", with such great mid-card/lower-carders as 2 Cold Scorpio and Arn Anderson vying for the "World" Title. Sigh. Rick Rude and Ric Flair had some AWFUL PPV matches against each other, somehow, as well. 5) Tag Title Scene Sucks Missy Fucking Hyatt and the awful, awful, awful Nasty Boys dominating the scene for the second half of the year. The first half was owned by The Hollywood Blondes, who HAD NO REAL CHALLENGERS. The tag scene was brutal, with makeshift "teams" working against each other, but unlike today, they weren't main eventers. TEX SLAZENGER & SHANGHAI PIERCE ON PPV. The COLOSSAL KONGS on PPV. Vomit. BIG SKY & VINNIE VEGAS! 6) No Cruiser/Light Weight Title It was just forgotten after being vacated in Sept 92. 7) Let's bring exciting technicians/high-flyers in, and JOB THEM EVERY WEEK ON TV! See: 2 Cold Scorpio. Chris Benoit. 8) Erik Watts was still employed and a mid-carder.

Jack Black in the movie should kill any award nomination before its even made. And who the fuck remakes King Kong? God. Death knell. The CGI dinosaurs are pretty lame, as is the "TRAVEL TO THE FORBIDDEN MYSTERY ISLAND!" plot. Everyone was pretty silent for every preview I've seen of this in theatres, and by silent, I mean in the "embarassed to have watched it" aspect.

So they book a rematch which Eddie easily wins in 5 minutes.
