Al, I apologize for the language in here. I know it's not HD or some place where that should be tolerated. Sorry, was venting on the Phillies current slump after a night of drinking. Abreu is a numbers guy. He isn't a winner. He does nothing in the final month of the season. I remember, was it last year, when he took himself out of the game to make sure he hit for .300 in the last or next to last game. He's all #s, and while he does produce, many of his runs and RBIs are "Thome Numbers", which last year, meant they were well ahead or well behind when they occured. The Phillies are in a lot of trouble. Look for Ryan Howard to be traded soon, since bonehead manager Charlie "Don Knots" Manuel has said that Thome will be "just fine and ready to go" in a couple weeks and Howard would provide good trade bait. I'm serious.

1968: The Planet of the Apes 2005

Day of the Dead, while a tad boring, still has the intrigue of characters and inevitable "We are FUCKED" ending that holds up over 20 years. Is it boring? At times. But at worst, it is a good, slow movie. Land of the Dead, however, holds up for Negative 1 hour and 30 minutes, and is not a Romero film. He did a lot less work on the film than many are lead to believe, and it shows. Gore is not there, Hopper plays a straight-up awful character, the lead is too pretty-boy, Asia's lines are awful, Leguizamo plays a generic, and the high-tech wizard element is there. La-ame.

Uh, Edge's guaranteed title shot is for the World Heavyweight Title, not the WWE Title. I think you can factor that into keeping him away from Cena until they resolve it. Or possibly it could lead to it. Edge as champion would suck though, with so much actual talent on Raw now.

Bulldog's Last Days in WCW WCW Fall Brawl 1998 was where Bulldog hurt himself in the horrid opener. The Bulldog interfered on Jim Neidhart's behalf on the September 19, 1998 edition of WCW Saturday Night to held fight off the nWo b-Team. I believe Bulldog & Neidhart worked WCW later on with a few spot appearences, but I'll hafta get back to you.
