And how about that guy... The Undertaker Survivor Series 90: Not on the roster, debuts as a "mystery partner" Survivor Series 91: Pins Hulk Hogan, WWF Champion
-
Actually, JBL went from "low-card tag team losing at PPVs" (No Way Out 2004, WM 2004) to "Main Event World Champion" (Judgment Day, Great American Bash) in just a couple months.

The OaO "Land of the Dead" talkback thread
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
I just saw the movie. Very dissapointed. AWFUL CASTING. Too "high-tech". Too "90's". Jesus Christ, "let's let them alone, they're just looking for a place to go...just like us." Nice to see they followed Episode 3's trend of AWFUL END LINES. Seriously. "Evil Kingpin" Dennis Hopper? Who the FUCK cares. And you're going to tell me the cheerleader, butcher, and black gas station zombies each survived every blast of gunfire they encountered? MAIN CHARACTER zombies? Lame. It may have worked in Day of the Dead, but he wasn't constantly fired at. Romero directed this? Then he needs to retired. The "zombie" genre is already exhausted, much less pushed back by the "king" of Zombie movies making a stinker. D-...and I was so excited and trying to find time all week to see it. -

Batista's new music is better than his old one. It's just louder, and if anything, less "generic", IMO, with the changes in the sounds and pauses. -
Which means tonight at the Smackdown! taping the "draft deadline" will be hyped as "ending tonight at midnight". Meaning Thursday, after the show airs, at midnight. So everything won't be cleared up tonight.

June 30th if I'm not mistaken. Midnight.

There's nothing wrong with going all Raw heavy.

Ridiculous Phillies quote from mlb.com: "Any deals we make will have to improve our club at the Major League level," said assistant general manager Ruben Amaro Jr. "We're not going to be out there looking for prospects. We're looking for players who are going to help us win a championship. That's the priority here." Well, glad to know Mr. Wade's past 12 seasons have been goal-oriented. And they end it with.... "As always, it could be a month with many phone calls for GM Ed Wade." Too bad he is sleeping.

Chris Candido career recordbook
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
In response to your question: It costs you nothing to research. I'm sure your testimonials will be free. Granted, it takes time to research. However, without Chris's death, interest in this book would be much less, correct? So you'd be profiting off of his death, directly, just because you "are a college student and need to make *something*. I think it would be a tremendous idea to charge what it takes to create this book. You should pocket nothing. If this seems like a bad idea to you, and you don't think doing this and donating all the profits is worth it, I'd pick another venture. Surely you can find something that doesn't profit directly off another's death. Hell, I fucking hate XPW...but with all the hype and research you've done on that company, should you release it in magazine/book form, I'd probably purchase it to learn things I didn't know before. See what I mean? Good idea. But don't reap rewards from another's death. You wouldn't have interest in this book if he didn't die. So either go the full monty with donations, or move on. My two cents. -

Here's my predictions... Rey is staying on Smackdown!...Mexicools and he will interact. EDDIE IS GOING TO RAW TONIGHT. BIG SHOW IS GOING TO RAW TONIGHT. _________________ Come Smackdown! Rey replaces Big Show in 6-way. Match sees: - Taker/Hassan double-countout and/or DQ, brawl to back, sets up GAB match? - Rey eliminated. - Booker, Benoit, and JBL. Booker and Benoit set up a GAB match. JBL wins and becomes the Smackdown! champion. However...ENTER BATISTA w/ World Title. They have a staredown to end the show. That'd be awesome. JBL/Batista is a match people would wanna see, given both will shed blood, and the tease around No Way Out/WM 21. Earlier in the show, Shelton debuts and wins the U.S. Title, but there's a controversial double-pin. _________________ JBL can keep his "Smackdown!' Title, altho Teddy long, the next week, declares it WORTHLESS since the WORLD TITLE is now Smackdown!'s title. JBL refuses to acknowledge the World Title. So, for Great American Bash, we get: - World Heavyweight Champion Batista Vs. Smackdown! Champion JBL - U.S. Champion Shelton Benjamin Vs. Orlando Jordan - Chris Benoit Vs. Booker T (#1 U.S. Title Contender?) - Muhammad Hassan Vs. The Undertaker - Cruiserweight Champion Paul London, Rey Mysterio, and someone Vs. Super Crazy, Juventud, and Psicosis And such... JBL wins at Bash (His second World Title win at Bash in a row, MAJOR LEAGUE SCREWJOB). Batista wins title back at SummerSlam, in his hometown. ______________ Compared to last year's Smackdown! shitty offerings at SummerSlam, we get: JBL/Batista rematch Shelton/Benoit (!!!!) Booker/someone (Hassan?) London/Juventud 3 outta 4 ain't bad.

Don't you think they'd need Rey for the Cruiser division again? I know he's been working "heavyweight" matches with the likes of Angle, JBL, and Eddie for a while...but with the new influx on "main eventers" on Smackdown!, namely Benoit, Hassan, Orton in the future, next week's 2 new picks (possibly a World Champion), etc., I think Rey just doesn't have a chance. Plus how can they deny the fans the Rey/Juvy goodness and Rey/Super Crazy (!). London is popular...but not popular enough to be the sole babyface in the division to combat the Mexicools and Chavo. -

This movie was absolutely great. I loved it. Why do you people assume there's going to be a sequel? It leads straight to Batman (1989), IMO. -

Quote: "And am I wrong in saying that this was the best Eddie Guerrero match since Eddie/Brock at No Way Out." Yes you are wrong. -Eddie Vs. Rey (WWE Title Defense) was better than tonight. -Eddie Vs. JBL (Judgment Day) was better than tonight. -Eddie Vs. Angle (SummerSlam) was better than tonight. -Eddie's involvement in the 2005 Rumble was quite good, tho not really a whole match. The rest you win. WM 21 match was awful. I can't remember anything else, although some of the Rey/Eddie tag matches were probably up there. -
So much for "Watch...Griffey will start."

Congratulations. "international XPlosion markets"...in all seriousness, wasn't Xplosion canned shortly after FSN show started? That sounds shady. And I post here to share opinions, learn from and correct others. Not win a popularity contest. I, you know, go outside to do that.

Romney Strikes Back: Gay marriage ban
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Sure there have been. I'm just venting over a few specific incidents the past couple weekends. Not all homosexual males act in the same way. My bad. It was bad, though. This dude in this sleveless denim vest and aviator sunglasses, complete with long black hair was all bumping into me and ruining my dance moveset. If that wasn't enough, he proceeded to cut in between me and a girl I recognized from school and "show us some real moves". That's what I get pissed off about. Back to topic, though. I don't think gay marriages should be legal. Not bein' a hater, but marriage is religion, and according to my religious beliefs, marriage is between a pole and a hole. And not the hole in the ass. -
Zack Malibu, allow your stupid replies to make sense. They taped last night for the INTERNET. I said there were zero television tapings. I am correct. You are wrong. Go away.
