YES I AM SO HAPPY!

I use Firefox, but I need IE to load a certain player. So I changed IE to default. Clicked on the link. And the problem is, my IE won't load the second page from the link. A small page should pop up on top of the original. However, it doesn't. Example: Click THIS LINK to take the poll. When you click "THIS LINK", a new small little box page should load. It won't, in this case. Anywhere in settings this might be fixable?

*** WCW Monday Nitro (1-Hour Broadcast) 05-12-97 - Randy Savage (now off crutches) talks trash on Dallas Page (who comes out on crutches), as Eric Bischoff anounced that Sting called him and they'll talk tonight. 1. WCW Television Champion Ultimo Dragon defeated Juventud Guerrera via submission with the Dragon Sleeper. After the match, Steven Regal (dropping the "Lord" gimmick) announces he'll "go back to his roots" and win back the WCW Television Title at Slamboree. - Guerrera "tapped out". 4. Hugh Morrus & Konnan defeated Ice Train & Alex Wright when Konnan made Ice Train submit to the "Tequila Sunrise" after Alex Wright abandoned his partner. - Wright officially turned heel. Train "tapped out".

Scum is easy to hate on. -
Actually it is new, since there are 8 titles now instead of 3, and titles changes happen much more rapidly now.

"If you think Angle is one of the greatest workers ever you need to watch more wrestling." He's easily one of the top 15 workers of all time, IMO. I'm talking charisma (1999-2001), ring-work (2000-2003), psychology (2000-2003, maybe present, don't watch him often), look, and big-match performance.
-
I will explain. First off, Eddie and Kurt. You have the "big title match" for Smackdown!, with Eddie, the rapdibly popular WWE Champ against Angle, the always-dangerous ex-champ. That should've been good enough. However, you have the ultra-hot Benoit chase, plus the (at the time) very very awaited return of the Undertaker overshadowing it. Goldberg/Brock was also more hyped than Eddie/Angle. So immediately, Eddie/Angle was perceived as the #4 main event. And it's for the WWE Title. At WrestleMania. So anyway, I did not dislike the match. However, during many parts of the bout, the heat was just not there. Also, had this been, say "Angle Vs. Eddie" in 2001, in the mid-card, we'd be doing backflips for the bout. However, it's 2004, and this is for the WWE Title. Eddie Guerrero, although an amazing worker, did not have the championship aura for such a big main event. Angle, I had already labeled a joke. I found the mat-work to be good, and the high-impact bumps to be the "same old" that Angle had been hitting since his post-neck injury return. The finish was nice and a good tribute to Eddie's character at the biggest show of the year. *** for the match. - ** for the buildup ("Boo-hoo Eddie, you cheat! Thus, I must turn heel!" **** for seeing Eddie in the WWE Title match. - ** for it being Eddie in the title match. I know I'll get negative comments for this. But just because you're a great technical wrestler doesn't mean you're automatically seen as "the man" once you get the big title. Just didn't like it. To the same degree, the same could be said about Benoit, but Benoit could carry just about anyone to a passable bout, unlike Eddie, who has difficulty with certain types of opponents. __________________________ Angle Vs. Shawn Thought the build-up to this would be AWFUL. It was actually quite decent for 2005 WWE, which itself sucks. We got the ridiculous returns of Marty Jannetty and Sherri Martel, a lot of spilled blood, show crossovers, and a genuine feeling that "Hey, Angle and HBK are the "best" of two generations. Let's hook 'em up!" The match: I personally rate the bout at *** 1/2. A lot of laying around. The table bump, while nice, killed the momentum of the bout as it took an ungodly amount of time to get things back going. Michaels took a wee bit of time to submit at the end, but liked the finish. Also a plus, the "out of nowhere" superkick, which I liked as desperation, tho can see why some people didn't. I found Michaels' selling a bit off at times, and the match seemed to just be at 3/4 the speed of what Angle and Michaels are capable of. Michaels is 7-8 years past his prime, IMO. Angle is 3 years past his. I'm NOT measuring prime by "age", so don't fucking argue that with me. I'm taking it as when their most productive and exciting bouts and/or carry-jobs occured. Michaels: 96 Angle: 2001-03 With that said, the bout was only dissapointing to me due to the fact that if both guys at their bests, before retirement, before neck problems, before knees, before Michaels late 2004 injury, etc. had hooked up, we're talking ****1/2-***** easily. But it isn't then, and the magic wasn't there for me. Too slow at times and boring. Otherwise very good. My opinion.

Problems with WWE.com Match Jukebox

Got it workin' finally! Thanks! "Mah gawd, the Black Scorpion is Ric Flair!" -
WWE is a group of morons. Goldberg is absolutely correct. The fact that the monkeys that were WCW new how to market the guy correctly, draw higher ratings at times than the WWF, and make him a mega-star with the fans shows this. WWE on the other hand, put Goldberg in a role that ANY man could have played, that of "Fighting the odds against Evolution." Same as Booker T...same as Nash...same as Benoit...same as Michaels...same as RVD & Kane... It was lame. They booked him horribly against uninteresting stiffs like Mark Henry, Matt Hardy, and Rodney Mack, and then made him Triple H's bitch at SummerSlam. Having to work Triple H month after month on PPV decreased interest in him, just as it has/will Batista this year. Stay away from "The E", Bill, they fucking suck.

Have you guys been at http://www.sithsense.com/flash.htm That should keep you busy for hours. Sorry if it at already discussed. -
To me, Kurt Angle's real career ended at WM 19, as it should have. - I didn't find his next WWE Title run as a face good at all. - I thought the SummerSlam 2003 match Vs. Brock was good, but I already seen it on a bigger scale. - Iron Man was a commercial-plagued let-down. - Kurt Vs. Eddie at WM 20 was a big let-down to me. - The Smackdown! brand was extremely second-rate after WM 20, with guys like Benoit gone, Bradshaw as champion, and new, worthless "big stars" like Mordecai, Dupree, Suzuki, Billy Gunn, and Holly pushed. Since Angle was on the show, I saw him as weak. - Kurt Angle: General Manager? Lame. - Big Show "kills" Kurt: Lame. - Eddie/Angle feud resumes, didn't like it. - Angle associating with caveman-esque Luther Reigns, and later, unover, super generic Jindrak was awful, a fourth-rate heel stable to "counter" Evoltion. Angle doing the "Sexy Kurt" song has been the one thing I've enjoyed out of him since WM 19. Angle/HBK was a big let-down to me, as well. Basically, Angle rules, his legacy will always be remembered by me as one of the greatest workers ever, but I don't watch him anymore and anyone that does is tarnishing his accomplishments from 2000-2003.

Oh, Flair hurt Batista emotionally? I bet that was a lot of emotion built up over *SEVEN DAYS*. As opposed to the past 5 months that Flair and HHH have spent fighting with Batista. If that was the angle they were going for, it was rushed, and poorly executed. The HIAC was announced a month ago on the 'net. With that said, they can have their horrible gimmick match. They could have at least helped build solid foundations for new stars tonight. If "emotional sabotage" is the reason for Batista's revenge, according to you, then that alone should be enough for HITC, not what will surely be a worse match than their WM and Backlash snoozers. Instead, same old, same old...Yawn. -

Your point being? I'm guessing they worked an XPW show. Far past their primes. After WCW. Never under any organized contract. For a poor man's ECW ripoff with a horrible sense of business. In front of 50 fans. Exactly, you have none. -

The OAO RAW Thread - 5/23/05
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in The WWE Folder
Who is this "what" character and when did he begin working for WWE? Seriously, let's look at Raw: POSITIVE #1: Jericho's "new direction". POSITIVE #2: The ECW Promo. The "I control ECW, altho you own it" was a nice touch and a necessary one to let the smarks know that Heyman won't let the product (hopefully) become the crap that Benoit Vs. Tajiri was this week. POSITIVE #3: Edge's MASSIVE heel heat. Finally. The push has paid off. POSITIVE #4: Lita is boo'd and it's part of the storyline. POSITIVE #5: Batista's excellent fan reaction. NEGATIVE #1: Hassan & Daivari Vs. Benjamin. These guys were really off. 3 Blown Sequences, at least that's how many I saw. Benjamin gets MAJOR pop, but loses to poor worker. NEGATIVE #2: Jericho Vs. Grenier. Very sloppy. Enzugiri. Corner dropkick. Just...weak. NEGATIVE #3: Flair is far more effective at his age as a run-in face, was PERFECT to further develop Batista's growing fan-base, and not H's lackey. We've seen it. NEGATIVE #4: Viscera. This is stupid and too indy. The Coach? Uh...okay. "oh no, he called him fat." NEGATIVE #5: What's the point of having Edge win a grueling 3-week tourney, and build up the "importance" of the Money in the Bank Match, when Triple H can just walk in the ring and make title matches. NEGATIVE #6: No new heel star solidified. It's the Triple H show. NEGATIVE #7: Diva Search 2005 continues to be hyped. NEGATIVE #8: Tag Team Scene. Or lack thereof. Champs not even mentioned. NEGATIVE #9: Flair single-handedly kicking Christian & Tomko's asses. I laugh at the "Christian for WWE Champion" posts made a few weeks back. NEGATIVE #10: Kane Vs. Edge impending feud. This won't be pretty. The guys just don't work well together. NOTE: Of the 5 positives, 3 of them had to do with the hot crowd. Lita and Edge were perceived as fresh and new threats. That has been squashed. Enjoy the mid-card. And Batista? He had the aura of a real champion tonight, and is now back fighting the guy that sucks the heat and life out of everything fun. "what"? I said enjoy Raw, lemming. -

It woulda been cool if Edge (new champ), Christian, Tomko, and FLAIR (all dressed in black) formed an alliance, with Lita as valet. Forcing Triple H and Batista to allign and battle the upstarts all summer. But I guess burying Edge and having a 55 or however year old man kick CC and Tomko's ass, and then doing "GRRRR, Triple H ANGRY! Hell in a Cell!" was better. Raw sucks. -

This RAW has been abysmally bad. The ECW promo was very good, but there has been absolutely terrible wrestling, with Hassan & Daivari looking awful, the Jericho match being awful, Benoit/Tajiri using garbage weapons for no reason (they'd have never used them is working each other in ECW), an awful Viscera segment, and just....ugh. I really hope for a title change, or this big built-up Raw will be forgotten in a week. -

Worthless, misleading thread title if I ever saw one. -
"they wouldn't really go back to it would they?" You are an intelligent thinker. Smackdown!, on the other hand, has produced Booker T's "Save my woman from Angle's bestaiality rape attempt" and "Heidenreich: U.S. Title Contender" in the past 2 weeks.
-
Booker Vs. Cena feud, Booker either goes heel or is lied to by wife ("Cena hit on me!", etc.) is what I predict for the next few weeks.
