Backlash stomps WM 2000 in the ass.

Doink wasn't still with the company at the 97 Slammys...it was a one shot.

My favorite Sunday Night HeAT match was: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Vs. WWF European Champion D'Lo Brown from like...late 1998. Austin annihilates D'Lo and pins him after a Stunner. Never announced as a non-title match. But since everyone knew the outcome, they just showed how valuable the title was and let D'Lo keep it.

>>>And while it is praised as being good, I still say that Backlash 2000 is the greatest wrestling show in American history. You sound like Paul Heyman when he was shilling for The Alliance and saying Lance Storm was the greatest Intercontinental Champion ever during the Storm/Edge match at SummerSlam. Seriously, you can't possibly believe that. Jesus Christ, the opener had a drunken Debra McMichael announce a not-super-over-yet E & C Vs. X-Pac and Road Dogg. And Big Show squashing Angle. Uncensored 97 - Brilliant Eddie/Dean opener. - Very good (just heatless) Mortis/Glacier feud starter. - Fun main event (cool to see guys like Benoit mix it up with Nash, Hogan) - Good (but heatless) Psychosis/Dragon match Very poor TV Title match (Iaukea/Rey)

>>>others like hhh and flair are supposed to be taking time off >>>guys like taker and angle are pretty much done after mania I feel like this has been said every year for the past couple years.

Cena or JBL?
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to rising up out of the back seat-nuh's topic in The WWE Folder
They gave Benoit the title. He beat HHH/HBK clean at WM. He beat Rhyno. He beat Conway. He beat HHH/HBK clean again on PPV. He won the tag titles. He defended them the next week and won. He kept winning. He beat Kane clean on PPV. He beat him weeks later BY SUBMISSION clean. He still kept winning tag team matches in six man tags. He was the sole survivor of the elimination match that seemingly went for 45 minutes. He went on and defeated Triple H *again* on PPV. He then beat Triple H *again* in an Iron Man Match. I'd say that's putting the champion over. And he drew shit. And the ratings went nowhere. -
Simply classic. I love the random stuff like Todd Grisham.

02/25 - Friday news update from Dave Meltzer

Well, you all shit on Melina when she was on Raw as "eww. ugly Diva" and shit on Nitro in the ring as "eh...boring"...so don't be hyprocites when they get thrown to Heat/Velocity. -
More can be done. Seriously. "OMG, Matt should come back at WM 21 as 'The Punisher!' and punish those rulebreakers!" is bad enough...but seriously...when dozens agree with this within minutes...boys and girls... Suddenly, animated GIFs look like ice cream.

Looking at the main page: Matt Fact: Matt hates being lied to and having his trust broken. Dude...seriously...you're not in high school. Move on, stop pining to your online cow marks, get some heat, and FUCKING GET OVER IT. Your dick must not have been doing it.

I would just like to say... Whoever followed my advice with the "London-Webmistress"-esque post... You are cool with me. And it wasn't me. A fake Hardcore Holly post is good enough...but "and Snitsky, to his horror, emerged" (to that effect) makes me light up a smoke.

He wrestles with Acid & Kashmere's PWU under his given name, Tom Carter. -
Don't forget, at what i think was the 1997 Slammy Awards, Doink was there, admist "Kill the Clown!" chants. Didn't Owen trip Doink, causing him to fall into Vader or someone?

Getting a Monday Night TV Show if TNA's big dream? Does this make any sense.

WWE Married Wrestler/ Diva Affair?
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to strummer's topic in The WWE Folder
ohhh. No, obviously they wouldn't draw that into a television storyline. Maybe we got our lines crossed. But hey, nothing else he's done has worked, so why not give it a try. -
WWE Married Wrestler/ Diva Affair?

See: WCW 1999-2000. See: Previous post's listed examples. See: Bart Gunn Vs. Butterbean at WM 15. See: "Not so tough without your scissors, huh Sid?" See: "Bruce from Connecticut" back in '96 He'll post that everything's fine and that his girl's website is awesome, and the marks on his site will go "Ha! That'll show those stupid newz reporters!" and Matt will be king of Sunday Night Heat and the message board. -
When Matt attempted to run down the crowd at Survivor Series 2002 with his awful, awful, awful heel skills, I began hating him. He's done some funny things before, but seriously, go watch the DVD before Steiner destroys him, it's one of the most brutal attempts to be a heel ever. When he came to Raw, it didn't help teaming him with Test and having the tag champs crush them. Or feeding Matt to Goldberg. Or making him a face that no one cared about. Matt Hardy is Marty Jannetty. He has no real mic skills, only works in teams, and occassionally can have a good match as a single. By NO stretcch is Jeff (the poorer worker of the two) Shawn Michaels, but Jeff will always be more recognized and over.

WWE Married Wrestler/ Diva Affair?
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to strummer's topic in The WWE Folder
Actually, it'd be as pointless and stupid as Matt's "Lita's an awesome wrestler" bitching and Jericho's "My match against RVD at KOTR was 5 stars" rants. Or Randy, Maven, and Jindrak's "We got in a fake fight". Some wrestlers are just super marks for themselves. Just my prediction. -

Muta does a similar entrance is most of his early Japan shows. Including the WCW ones in Japan.

But all he ever said to the website cows was "Ask Amy..". That promotes his girlfriend, her website, and her signings (which he asked people to go and ask her). I didn't say he'd come on air and say "HA! FOOLED YOU! V-ONE-AHH!", but it wouldn't surprise me to see "Haha, maybe you net writers should check your facts."
