When did the world title last change hands
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Vanhalen's topic in The WWE Folder
Well, in addition to those 16 free TV World Title changes, we had: 17. Bret Hart is stripped of WCW World Title. 18. Benoit def. Sid for World Title. 19. Benoit is stripped of WCW World Title. 20. Jarrett def. Page for WCW World Title (Stampede) 21. Jarrett def. Page & Arquette in three-way 3-cage match for WCW World Title (Slamboree) 22. Booker T def. Jarrett for WCW World Title (BATB) 23. Booker T def. Nash for WCW World Title (Fall Brawl) 24. Scott Steiner def. Booker T for WCW World Title (Mayhem) There were 24 WCW World Heavyweight Title changes in the year 2000. -
What scene is Green Bay going to cause in Philly next week? Oh, getting beat by the Eagles? Like every other time they play them. They could barely get by Alf Alfa awful greasy haired David Carr and the bumbling Texans.

Whoa...I wonder if Bret's new Italian wife will put on 300 pounds like the Canadian wife did. -
Rey Mysterio, Jr. is going to win the Royal Rumble. You'll see.

Will HHH win the battle royale tonight
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Vanhalen's topic in The WWE Folder
Hey guys... Here's a good question. Say Triple H GETS ELIMINATED FIRST. Or later...whenever. My question is...is there anyone in the match (besides Triple H) you ABSOLUTELY, NO WAY IN HELL, want to see win the battle royal? Note: Randy Orton is not in it. Apparently, neither are Gene Snitsky or Muhammed Hussein. -

In 2000, there were **** 16 **** WCW World Title changes on free TV: THAT'S 16 WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE CHANGES ON FREE TV IN ONE YEAR. 1. Sid Vicious wins the VACANT World Title from Kevin Nash on Nitro. 2. Sid Vicious is stripped of the World Title by Kevin Nash on Thunder. 3. Sid Vicious wins the VACANT World Title from Kevin Nash & Ron Harris in a handicap cage match on Thunder. 4. Sid Vicious is stripped of the World Title by Eric Bischoff & Vince Russo on Nitro. 5. Dallas Page wins the World Title in a cage match from Jeff Jarrett on Nitro. 6. David Arquette (teaming with World Champion Dallas Page) wins the World Title in a tag match against Eric Bischoff & Jeff Jarrett by pinning Bischoff in a match where whoever scored the fall won the title. 7. Ric Flair wins the World Title from Jeff Jarrett on Nitro. 8. Ric Flair is stripped of the World Title on Nitro by Vince Russo for not being in fighting shape (Flair "suffered a heart attack"). 9. Jeff Jarrett wins the VACANT World Title from Kevin Nash on Nitro. 10. Kevin Nash wins the World Title from Jeff Jarrett in a three-way match also involving Scott Steiner on Thunder. 11. Ric Flair is AWARDED the World Title (since he never lost it) by Kevin Nash on Nitro. 12. Jeff Jarrett wins the World Title from Ric Flair on Nitro. 13. Kevin Nash wins the World Title from Booker T. on Nitro. 14. Vince Russo wins the World Title from Booker T. on Nitro in a cage match. 15. Vince Russo vacates the WCW World Title on Nitro due to his being a non-wrestler. 16. Booker T. wins the World Title from Jeff Jarrett in a "San Francisco 49ers" match (four boxes suspended in each corner, only one possessing the title belt) on Nitro. And I did that by memory. -

Is is a little odd that they gave Orton week 3 of GM...since they're pushing Orton as Raw's #1 babyface. -
I want this thread to deal with this Monday's Raw Battle Royal. So bring predictions and thoughts...but please no bitching, "HHH goes over everyone", etc. Unique concepts (tag partners battle, maybe jobber offense on Flair/HHH etc. wanted. Anyway, the point made by the topic description is this, will Edge be involved in the battle royal? If so, his "bitter for not getting a title shot" gimmick would be effectively killed. Because he'd be getting a title shot. Other observations welcome.

No, I don't. It's a lame Pop-Rap song.

Well, it did make sense. Debra managed Jarrett (U.S. Champ) and Guerrero, his ally, was predicting he'd be Cruiserweight Champ after his Clash match with Jericho. Wright came up to them on Nitro and asked to be associated with them. Debra said that he couldn't until he won some gold. Then, the Clash rolled around, JJ and Eddie wound up titleless, and Wright walked out with the TV Title. He then was in full dancing heel prick mode and decided to stick to himself since the others were titleless. Yeah, wow...WHAT IF...Goldberg was just a muscle-head guy that lost every now and then, to guys like Mongo and company? Things could be very different.

HHH is 50 times more over than Edge. You're insane. -
I'd like to see The Road Warriors get inducted.

Oh yeah, the "reason" for Jarrett being fired from the Horsemen was mostly due to The Horsemen undergoing a radical face turn... Benoit was about to start working face vs. heel programs with Meng and Sullivan. He had feuded with the DoD before, but now, he was being recognized as receiving cheers. Flair was on the comeback trail, working with/against Piper against the New World Order in tag matches, as a big face. McMichael had his wife taken away, plus, for some reason, Mongo always got pretty good face pops, so he was set for a feud with JJ. it should be noted that JEFF JARRETT IS WORTHLESS.
-
Here is why: Jarrett was put in the Horsemen to help develop his annoying heel character while also helping Steve McMichael develop as a face. Also, Jarrett in the Horsemen created more dissention between the group, with Jarrett/McMichael, Woman/Debra, Arn/Jarrett, and Benoit/Jarrett feuding amongt themselves at any given time. With The Horsemen (who were still a heel faction when Jarrett was inducted by Flair) looking incompitent and silly, the NEW WORLD ORDER looked more united and powerful as a heel group. Jarrett failed to produce any great match, as well as draw major heat. His U.S. Title run (which was the last straw, as he was put over DEAN MALENKO, whose title run was wayyyyy over, if not horribly booked) was ended in Jarrett's own hometown at the Clash in August, and Jarrett was then pretty much jobbed out and put in a low-card feud with Malenko until he was gone from the company.

WCW World Champion Hulk Hogan Vs. The Total Package would have likely headlined Starrcade 1999. And I'm not being sarcastic or bullshitting you. -
I am Brian. He's the dog.

All I know is "99 Problems But a Bitch Ain't One" is an embarassing piece of shit.

WCW World Champion Bill Goldberg's first police escort to the ring came on the July 27th, 1998 edition of WCW Monday Nitro. Goldberg was escorted to the ring for an "exclusive, first-time ever interview" with "Mean" Gene Okerlund. The police were there to escort him due to Goldberg's locker room having been earlier destroyed and spray-painted by the New World Order. So Goldberg gets made to look like a pussy by having cops escort him to the ring after the nWo damages his room... And Goldberg is made to TALK, thus killing his "silent killer" gimmick... Oh, and he talks about HOGAN... Wonder who wrote this show. -
Crap. I had a date the other night. And the date was with a girl that likes Jay-Z. I didn't know this. So before we went out we had the TV on, and a concert with Jay-Z/Linkin Park performing together was on. I verbally ripped the piece of shit concert a new asshole, and then went off on how Jay-Z has done jack and shit since 2001. She didn't like that.

What's the worst WCW Nitro Ever?

Hey everyone guess what I have on while I'm doing a paper? It's my old nemesis, WCW UNCENSORED 1999. Tony Schiavone: "What great action! And do you know what we STILL have to look forward to?" Bobby Heenan: "Mon-day Nitro!" Tony Schiavone: "Yes, the World Heavyweight Title match, Hollywood HO-GAN and Ric Flair! Barbed wire steel cage!" -
My thoughts: I saw Antz in the theatre. I found Woody Allen and Sylvester Stallone as ants amusing. It was okay, a smart kid's movie. A Bug's Life sucks. Mucha Lucha is a horrible show.
