Since the Phillies aren't in it (my hometown team)...this post-season I shall root for... The Minnesota Twins.

Dude, this kind of incoherent babble belongs in the last page of the "Jello Wrestling" thread.

In theory, it was to get Austin, who trusted no one and would suspect an easy Shane "swerve", to actually believe Shane was there to help during the Foley semi-final match. Of course, Shane fooled us.

SoCal: CZW vs. XPW Cage Match Plus Super Parka

Is that the fake La Parka that forced the original to change to L.A. Park? Fuck him. If not..."Super" Parka? C'mon. Get a gimmick. -
The OAO Raw is Snitsky in MSG Thread

Raw was pretty decent tonight. Set up some good stuff. A pretty excellent Christian/HBK encounter. -
D'Lo isn't as over as Monty Brown is now.

Jim Ross:"If Christian defeats Shawn Michaels next week in Madison Square Garden, I'll call him Captain Charisma forever!" Lawler: "Really?" Ross: "Yeah!" Keep that in mind. -

But using WWE Logic, the Frenchies could blame the New York loss as the "reason" their team lost, feigning an interest in sports and making them further look like idiots. Then Hurricane and Rosey can come out in Mets jerseys or something and a TAG MATCH ENSUZE~!! Insta-heat. -
" 1)Paul Heyman turns on Brock. 'You can't beat the Big Show, you can't F-5 him!'. Nevermind the fact he was on his way to doing each. Guess he meant 'I forbid you to beat Big Show' as opposed to can't as in not possible." Heyman sold his services to Show, convinced that the injured Lesnar had no shot of beating him. When Lesnar had the match one, Heyman saved his meal ticket and helped him win the title.

I personally think the Schill (who wasn't there to drop game 1 last year) will be able to handle Anaheim.

Shawn Michaels. WM 20 (HHH/Benoit) WM 19 (Jericho) WM 10 (Razor Ramon) WM 12 (Bret Hart) WM 11 (Diesel) WM 14 (Steve Austin) WM 7 (Haku & Barbarian) WM 9 (Tatanka) WM 5 (Twin Towers) WM 8 (El Matador) WM 6 (Orient Express) Next, do KURT ANGLE -
Anglesault, they are heavy favorites because of their CURRENT PLAY and record after the break. Which is better than the Yankees'. However, the Yanks DID shut them up during the recent series. So we shall see.
-
The New York Yankees (in 5), Boston Red Sox (in 4), Houston Astros (in 4), and St. Louis Cardinals (in 4) will advance.
-
My bad for missing that.

Here's my WM 19 Snowflakes, didn't enjoy it very much: - Rey vs Matt- * 1/2 Too short to be anything. Just spots. - Taker vs A-Train/Show- * 1/2. Long bout with nothing embarassing, but just power/double-team stuff. - SD Triple Threat Tag- ***. I agree. I think this match was kind of overlooked/underrated. - Jericho vs Michaels- **** Very good, very very good. - Booker vs HHH- ** So slow. Plodding. Decent ending until the Pedigree plus 1 minute stall finish. - Hogan vs McMahon- **. Come on. Geriatrics. **? I give it that for nostalgia. Wasn't awful, but nowhere near the better "special attraction efforts Vince did with Shane, Austin, etc. - Austin vs Rock- ** 1/2. A shell of their former matches, due to injuries. Brock vs Angle- ***. I agree. No other WWE PPV has delivered as much solid wrestling as this one. Of course, the career-ending burials of Jericho and Booker kinda hurt it a bit.

Midnights Vs. Doom (1989 Doom, mind you) and Midnights Vs. Road Warriors would have sucked the big one. Not that adding the SST helped. But at least the Midnights didn't have to do jobs.

God damn it there is no such thing as "WCW Starrcade 1989". It was promoted with the NWA name.

Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat was quite over during his return to WCW in late 1991. As was "Ravishing" Rick Rude when he debuted around that time. Sting was a huge babyface. The Steiners were pretty damn over. The DANGEROUS ALLIANCE STABLE was huge. Nikita Koloff came back to some decent, if not great pops. Big Van Vader was picking up steam. The company put on some great matches after that, but DREW SHIT. Jushin Liger (among others) werre heavily hyped for a special Christmas show at the Omni in 1991. Liger took Pillman's title belt in a heavily hyped bout. It didn't draw. Overness Not = Draw, -
Favorite Horror Movie Moments

If you guys don't know what he's talking about from Cabin Fever, I highly suggest you give it a rent. Check out the DVD, it's got the director discussing all his little nostalgic influences and "cameos" he threw into the movie, his "dream" horror project. -
No Mercy PPV.. Looks Good/Bad?.. Discuss It Here.
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to natey2k4's topic in The WWE Folder
Uh, the buildups to these matches may be a little longer than usual (hardly any of them can be called "good/great: though)... But the matches themselves still look awful. Slow and Angle? Reigns and Eddie? Taker and JBL? Nunzio and Spike? Rico, Haas, Jackie Six Man? Cena/Booker? All matches that are medicore at best. Kidman/London could be really good, especially if the crowd gives them a chance. -
Carolina looks pretty bad this year thus far, tho.

Keep in mind, Eagle fans, the Birds are playing THE BEARS. The Bears have a good D, but are an awful team. McNabb knows this, having come from the area. He might not be "feelin' it". They've got the game well in hand, anyways.
-
McNabb throws first INT of season I believe...?
-
My God the Bears/Birds game is just atrocious. I hate when my team has to play Chicago. With the exception of the Divisonional Playoff Game in '01-'02 Playoffs, it's always BOR-ING. Although, we always win. Go Birds! But wake up.
