    The Mike Tenay heel turn

Heel interview segment #2 is from... ***September 6, 2000 edition of Thunder*** Tenay interviews David Flair & Miss Hancock about their upcoming wedding. Both of their families will be on Nitro for the wedding on Monday. Tenay yells at Hancock and calls her a golddigger because she went through David's pant pockets to find her engagement ring. tenay takes a snotty attitude with Hancock's defensive statements. Tenay finishes the segment by "giving you six months...if you're lucky". And then...Tenay goes heel on RIC FLAIR of all people... ***September 13, 2000 edition of Thunder*** Tenay interviews Ric Flair, who Russo had removed from his son's wedding on Nitro (the wedding ended when Stacy left the arena after revealing her baby wasn't David's.) Tenay was curious why Flair was even being interviewed for TV when he was retired. Tenay says he respects Flair then instantly asked if Ric is the father of his son's fiance's baby. Flair gets an angry look and says that Tenay is one of Russo's puppets, and asks bullshit questions. Flair leaves. Here goes Tenay again... ***September 20, 2000 Thunder*** Tenay interviews Stacy Kiebler. Stacy says she loves David. Tenay laughs and says Stacy had slept around with nearly the entire roster. "Can we count them on one hand...or two?" She says there was only one other. He asks how she could sleep around when she was engaged. Tenay looks into the camera... "BOY, SHE'LL MAKE A GREAT MOTHER." Haha. On the ***October 4, 2000 Thunder*** Mike Tenay interviews Misfits in Action. He pisses General Rection off by calling him "Mike Demotta". On the October 25, edition of Thunder, Mike Tenay, doing commentary, made a bitter comment about not going on the recent Nitro/Thunder trip to Australia the week before.

    The Mike Tenay heel turn

Sorry to prove you wrong, JHawk...but I got some news to share... ***From the July 12, 2000 Thunder*** Mike Tenay sits down with Scott Steiner (with Midajah). Steiner likes not having friends, hates Hall & Nash, and yells at Tenay for calling the "Frankensteiner" a hurancanrana. Tenay says he uses that term to get the Mexican stars over. Steiner threatens Tenay. Tenay asks Steiner about his childhood leading to his recent "angry" streak. Steiner snaps and starts choking Tenay. Steiner gets up and commands Midajah to stop tending to Tenay and the segment is over. ***From the July 19, 2000 Thunder*** Bobby Heenan makes fun of Tenay, as Tenay says he "saw his life flash before him" last week. Tenay acts like a HEEL in a promo with Midajah on... *** The August 23rd edition of Thunder*** Midajah lays in bed with a neckbrace on. She wants to wrestle, not take her clothes off for Playboy. Tenay says "C'mon! I've heard this all before. Right...I am woman. Hear me roar." Midajah mentions how when Steiner attacked Tenay, it was SHE that came to help him. Tenay says she probably only did it to stop him from getting fined more. She says the interview is over...Tenay says "Good luck...you'll need it." She calls Tenay a jerk.

    I hate Toronto

I hope Vince keeps the product out of Toronto for a LONG time. Or gives them house shows and lets all the talent do 15-minute rest holds to get revenge on the stupid fucks in attendance. I agree with this thread.

    The OAO SummerSlam 2004 Thread

The show came off as awful due to the embarassing Toronto "fans" who ruined the TV audience's enjoyment. THUS, because of Toronto, casual fans will not soon order another show, especially a "big show" such as SSlam, since they feel they wasted $35 on something that sucked.

    The OAO SummerSlam 2004 Thread

Bad for business TORONTO *Is*. Those casual fans/marks watching SummerSlam are now not wanting to order future shows, since the matches came off as silent, boring, and the people they thought were the "faces" (Eugene, Kidman, London, Rey, Taker, Eddie, etc.) were treated with no response or were boo'd.) The smart watching are now even more apathetic towards the product, given tonight was a pretty good show that was reduced to a weird feeling "eh" due to the fucking crowd wrecking it.

    The OAO SummerSlam 2004 Thread

Hey, you have to now live with the fact that the city of Toronto is to wrestling fans what Tampa Bay is to Major League Baseball....uncaring, undeserving, and bad for business.

Awful PPV in a shitty wrestling town with shitty fans who ruined good matches and made them awful. End of story.

The WWE has no idea what they're doing. No one wants to fucking cheer Orton. Benoit was made to look like a loser tonight. Triple H, for all intents and purposes, should be the #1 contender. To face Orton? Yuck. Eugene is lame. Kane wins Lita. So? Angle looked good, but relied WAY too much on ground submission wrestling. Guerrero now drops further down the ladder. JBL/Taker was shitty. Nice FOAM PADDED LIMO, assholes. Cena/Booker will take forever to finish. Ugh. Groan, groan, groan.

    My ratings: Six-Man Tag: ** 1/2 Matt/Kane: ** I-C Three-Way: * 1/2 Cena/Booker: ** Eddie/Angle: *** 1/2 HHH/Eugene: ** 1/2 Taker/JBL: * 1/2 Benoit/Orton: ** 3/4

Chris, it'd been an enjoyable 154 day title reign. But the summer and the party is over. The Era of Orton begins tonight. Interestingly enough, my house watching it is split between Benoit/Orton marks...should make for an exciting main event.

So I ask you this... Since the U.S. Olympic team can't fucking TOUCH Puerto Rico...why should I consider the NBA Title as "prestigious?" Way to go Lebron and co.
