I need ideas for a WCW video I'm making

"Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" with clips of random jobbers being eliminated in the World War 3 battle royals. "Baby Got Back" with clips of the random chicks WCW signed, Midajah, Shakyra, Major Gunns, Leia Meow, Pamela Paulshock, etc...and then Kimberly, Nitro Girls, etc.

    Managerial Rosters

Miss Elizabeth managed these two guys named Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan. Sapphire managed Dusty Rhodes.

Well, I'm laughing. Both at Mary-Kate and Carlin.

    Review of Flair's book

Well I'm sure Flair could tear it up with Orton, too...if by "tear it up" you mean get thrown off a stage through some tables and get hit by objects. It's an unfair comparison. Flair's much, much older than Foley, as well. In their primes, Foley's best work could never, and has never, touched Flair's best work.

    SummerSlam poster...?

That was a tremendous poster/DVD cover.

The OAO TNA 2YA Show Thread

The mini match was awful. The stuff WWF did in '97 with the little guys was fast-paced, fluid, and quick...non-offensive, I mean. This match had big guy and a mini that, well...blew spots, were slow, did two "whirly-dirly headscissor"-esque spots, and ended the match with a rollup. Mini Pierroth actually took Mini Sagrada's mask off, and you could see his face for a brief second. They then had to wait and adjust the mask. Just stupid crap with Mini Pierroth literally STANDING AND WAITING, bent over, for Mini Sagrada to (gently) kick him on the BUTT, and then sell it like he got hit by a truck. Stupid.

    SummerSlam poster...?

Decent poster. I'd like the poster to feature a big splash of the main event wrestlers facing off with each other face-to-face, heels vs. faces. BTW, what's with the "Four/Three/Two Days Until Banning" guy changing the name everyday? Maybe I missed it.

About the Truth: I know he's a face, but those "YOU can't handle the TRUTH!" chants are the most annoying I've heard. It makes me dislike him even more.

I need ideas for a WCW video I'm making

"You Don't Know What You Got 'Til It's Gone": Show clips of Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, and Chris Benoit jobbing to people like Meng & The Barbarian, Kevin Sullivan, and Konan... And then show clips of each one holding up the World Heavyweight Championship.

Hey medical people, go to another thread. More Carlin jokes, please!

The OAO TNA 2YA Show Thread

BTW, Vampiro sucks. I ordered tonight. Jeff Hardy wrestled better than I thought he would. No noticeable blown spots (which occurred is like EVERY match tonight). They didn't do anything special. They MISSED THE RUN-IN of Kash and Dallas attacking Styles because of them showing the replay of Hardy's poorly executed "Whisper in the Wind", which kicked Styles right in the face. Desire is one of the worst "wrestlers" I've ever seen. Scott D'Amore had no place wrestling more than 1 minute. Jerry Lynn is a joke. Oh, during Daniels return, to a big pop, he carries the black NWA flag and starts hitting people with it. D'Amore escapes, however, and Daniels (swinging at full force because he know D'Amore is ducking, hits Lynn with the flag, legit. Not an angle. Ouch. Boring, boring show. Raven's "tribute" was shown for like 2 seconds. It was backstage, Raven wasn't even at the show. It's a mock-up of The Shiek, a skeleton wearing a turban. Lame.

Proof that talent counts for nothing this company

London lacked charisma in TNA. TNA likes to promote indy wrestlers with personality. So I could care less what happens to him...because he hadn't made any fan connection.

    Least appearances on PPV

Bull Nakano lost to Madusa at WCW Hog Wild '96, in the dreadful "Loser Gets Her Motorcycle Smashed" match. She also teamed with eventual (and only) WCW Women's Heavyweight Champion Akira Hokuto at World War III 1995, defeating Cutie Suzuki & Mayumi Ozaki after Nakano pinned Ozaki with a guillotine legdrop.

    Vengance card

Looks like we might expect: * World Title - HHH (with Eugene?) Vs. Chris Benoit * I-C Title - Randy Orton Vs. Edge * Batista Vs. Chris Jericho Two good matches and we'll see what Jericho/Batista can do.

    Midcard treatement of a champion

Taker brought respectability to the title?????????? I seem to remember: - Taker wins title after HORRIBLE match with Hogan. Cred: loss. - Taker loses title to RVD, only to have match restarted and he keeps it. Cred: loss. - Taker retains title after HORRIBLE match with HHH. Cred: loss. - Taker starts wrestling the likes of low-carders "rookie" John Cena and Jeff Hardy and it takes him quite a while to beat them. Cred: loss - Taker drops title to The Rock at Vengeance. How did he establish the belt? Jericho went over Rock and Austin in one night, and then defeated Rock again in an amazing PPV match. Jericho may not have "helped" the title...but the reign was better than Taker's.

When Kurt Angle returns to the ring...

Benoit didn't main event in 2003, for whoever said he did twice. Rumble 2003 - Title Match overshadowed by Brock's chase and the Rumble match. Did Hardcore Holly "main event" this year's Rumble? NWO - pointless six-man WM - pointless three-way Backlash - Zilch. JD - pointless six-man, curtain jerked, lost opening match Veng - lost opening match SummerSlam - lost so-so four-way No Mercy - A-Train SSeries - opening elimination match

    Midcard treatement of a champion

Jericho's undisputed title reign was MUCH better than Benoit's reign for the following reasons: 1. Jericho added the unpredictability factor into the title reign, as guys like RVD and The Rock looked like they were sure to take his strap. 2. Jericho had a personality and connected with the crowd, making the crowd want to see him lose it. 3. Jericho had better regular challengers in The Rock, Van Dam, and Austin (the match sucked, yes, but the buildup was better than say Kane/Benoit). At least when Jericho was following Stephanie around, you knew he was champion, because he was involved in main events, carried the title around, interfered, and was MENTIONED on the show. I feel like Benoit's just keeping the title warm until Triple H feels like he wants to wrestle full-time, and not just do one boring 50-minute Hell in a Cell match. And you know what? Benoit's tag team title reign ended at the hands of LA FUCKING RESISTANCE. So think about that before you defend Benoit's "great booking" and "ring cred".

    Midcard treatement of a champion

Chris Benoit's List of *Major* Accomplishments Since WM XX: - Looked strong at the Continental Airlines Arena, and with Shawn Michaels defeated Evolution the day after WM XX to a big pop, which was key for his reign to start strong. - Got a great hometown pop, defeating HHH and HBK at Backlash in Edmonton. - With Edge, defeated Batista & Flair to win the tag straps and kick off a short, but very good period for the tag team titles. - Retained the titles in an even better match the next week. - Wrestled an (IMO) mediocre match against Michaels, the "Showdown in the Desert", and kept the title after HHH interfered. - Saved Eugene from The Coach and Cade. While this is FAR FROM a "main event" angle, it did attach Benoit to the Eugene storyline that seems to be planned for the summer. Plus, it put Benoit over with the crowd and their new "darling" Eugene. - Defeated Kane in a competitive (and better than it should have been) match at Bad Blood with a roll-up. - Sole Survivor in a long, mediocre Six-Man Elimination Match that did not keep the viewers interest, as the ratings overrun indicated. - I know this isn't "huge", but Benoit has also made Orton tap out twice in the span of a month and a half. Just significant that Benoit was strongly put over Orton twice, who has been booked as unbeatable except for a few occassions. HOWEVER... Aisde from those occassions, most of which were lumped together, Benoit has been minimized on TV many weeks. Not wrestling, or just doing a brief run-in have hurt Benoit, because the crowd seemingly forgets he should be the focus of the show. THE GOAL IS TO BECOME WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. So why is the "target" not in the main event or in an IMPORTANT angle/match *EVERY* week? Sigh. Honestly, when all we see is a certain cHHHallenger in the focused storylines (Vs. HBK, "befriending" Eugene, wrestling Eugene, brawling with Shawn outside the ring, shaking Shawn's hands, wanting to be #1 Contender) and Benoit is just backstage talking to Bischoff...the crowd becomes apathetic to the whole title reign.
