If Eugene is announced as "being in Benoit's corner" against HHH at SummerSlam, then I think everyone can expect Eugene to turn on Benoit and help HHH win the title. I'd bet the house on it. Think about it...Eugene debuted AFTER TRIPLE H LOST THE BELT...he'll be "Nick Dinsmore", Triple H's good buddy and actor "from Hollywood" who *fooled us all* and helped Triple H get the belt back. Come on, they can't do this "Eugene Vs. ???" crap any longer. The Eugene gimmick ends at SSlam if this is true.

The Eddie DVD: If Smarks could choose the matches
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Deon, IMO, Guerrero/Mysterio (WW 3 1997) was not only dissapointing, following the Havoc match, but also very boring for the most part. And you definately want Eddie/Dean from UNCENSORED...not Starrcade. Uncensored, once the crowd woke up, was a hot match, fluidly worked, and showed off both men's skills tremendously. -
The Eddie DVD: If Smarks could choose the matches
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
WWE Matches of his that I'd like to have on DVD. I left some great stuff out because I have it, already. *** Vs. Bradshaw, Judgment Day '04. I wouldn't order the PPV. I'll never buy the DVD. I do want to see this match, though, because I'm sure it will be the best match of their (what will be a) 4 month+ feud. *** Vs. Lesnar, No Way Out '04. One of Guerrero's finest performances in his WWE stay, and probably the 2nd best match of the year. Have pretty clear on the computer already, but wouldn't mind it on the DVD. *** Vs. John Cena, Parking Lot Fight '03 from Smackdown!. An intense brawl that was really, really enjoyable. *** There was a really great (most were good but one in particular stands out) Tajiri/Eddie Vs. World's Greatest Tag Team match from Smackdown that I'd like to have. *** Edge Vs. Eddie, No DQ match from Smackdown '02, featuring a ladder. *** Eddie Vs. Angle Vs. Edge Vs. Benoit. Dec '02 Smackdown! four-corners elimination match for the title shot at Armageddon '02. *** 10-Man Tag featuring The Radicalz, Triple H & X-Pac Vs. Rock, Foley, 2 Cool and Rikishi from Dallas, TX, Feb' 00 Raw. Is this on Benoit's DVD? If so, scratch this. But they need to get this out, soon...they're running out of chances. Unless Rikishi or Scotty 2 Hotty are getting DVDs soon... *** I'd like to see Eddie & Saturn against The New Age Outlaws from the Smackdown! debut of The Radicals, where Eddie messes up his arm and they changed the finish...just because I missed it the first time. *** Eddie Vs. RVD from Judgment Day '02. WCW-wise: *** Eddie/Ohtani at Starrcade 95. *** Eddie/Syxx from nWo Souled Out's ladder match. I liked the atmosphere of the PPV for some reason and want to see it again. *** Eddie/Jericho from Fall Brawl 97. I've got the rest of his WCW stuff. Though I'd like a montage (even though they never feuded) of Eddie and Benoit's matches against each other. I'd really only like, say....2 of Guerrero's Japan matches at the most. I'd like this (and personally think it WILL, unlike Benoit's DVD) contain just ECW/WWE/WCW stuff and focus on that stuff. Forgot the AAA PPV tag match, one of my favorite matches ever, and one of the first "indy/non-WWF/WCW/early ECW" matches that I really appreciated. I've got it on VHS but want a DVD copy, def. -
Choken... Benoit Vs. Heel Edge would be a great match. Face Jericho Vs. "it's not 2002 anymore so stop giving him shit" Heel Triple H would be great. What a terrible upper card. Shelton is pretty good, but not ready to continue with Orton, who has been put over way too many talents to drop the belt to him. So do a comedic tag, with a little workrate. Eugene and Shelton are pretty exciting. Limit Flair's ringwork and let the Benjamin/Orton feud end with Benjamin "going over" Orton in the match, but not for the belt. Thus, Shelton gets elevated and Orton keeps his gold and heat. Just such AWFUL booking. As for the tag title match...there are two teams on Raw. Not my fault. Lita Vs. Trish. Well, the best the Women's Division can offer right now. Victoria's heat and ring-work are both GONE. Gail Kim still sucks, but has a couple rest...I mean...submission holds now. Lita is still sloppy but somewhat decent, as much as she works well with Trish. Raw is in a bad situation right now. They've got an uppercard that can WORK MATCHES. Benoit, Jericho, Edge, Orton, Benjamin, Triple H. But they've also got to be careful about putting certain combinations of these people together on a "throwaway" PPV show before the big SummerSlam show. So come up with something better, Bitter Barry.

I predict: -World Title Chris Benoit © Vs. Edge -#1 Contender's Match for SummerSlam Chris Jericho Vs. Triple H -Shelton Benjamin & Eugene Vs. Randy Orton & Ric Flair (with Batista) -World Tag Team Titles The Hurricane & Rosey Vs. La Resistance © - WWE Women's Title Lita Vs. Trish © with SummerSlam seeing the following title matches: HHH vs. Benoit Orton Vs. Jericho

Least appearances on PPV
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Australian Pride's topic in General Wrestling
Kitao at WM 7. David Arquette (made a second cameo at New Blood Rising) Karl Malone and Jay Leno for WCW. Shinya Hashimoto for WCW. The "Arachnaman" gimmick was on 1 PPV (Starrcade 91). -
Aren't both Nick's career and Hogan's hair both already destroyed, though?
-
Flair's the man. He has such a great legacy. Flair looked like a hobbled, old, homeless, drunk in the ring last week against younger, more in shape athletes. That's cool he got one last chance to ME a house show, in the state he lives in.
-
HHH: "Kiss me." Benoit: "Go to hell. I...will...make...you...tap." HHH: "Father and Jugs have the book." Benoit: "Tongue or closed-mouth?"

Apologies. Wrong thread.

Step aisde, oh great Thunderlips. It's time for Brooke to become a woman.

Latest On Futures Of Steve Austin And Goldberg
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in General Wrestling
Good for Goldberg that he gets paid. I mean, c'mon. As for Austin? What did he "decide" not to do? Referee a match? Be an "authority" figure? I'll pass. Good for overseas -
Chris Hamrick and Tracy Smothers??? Are you SERIOUS? Not only do they scream "hick" more than the Toby Keith CD commercials during Impact!, but Hamrick is worthless and Smothers is like 8 years past his prime.

I didn't see a thread on this angle, just one making fun of Lita, so I'll ellaborate... I think it's obvious that Kane's yes or no question was relating to Kane "wanting to be normal" like Benoit, having seen Benoit's FAMILY at Backlash. So Kane asked Lita if he could impregnate her. She caved into the pressure of him physically destroying Matt and finally said "yes". Matt tried to contact her all week, as he said, but couldn't find her. She was with Kane. Kane slept with her, and put his "seed" into her. On Raw, he told her "it's done" and doesn't need her anymore. At the same time, Lita told Matt that she loves him, and wanted to show him. So she's going to go have sex with him...(WWE would "never" advocate sex without her first saying "I love you!" right?). She'll get pregnant and Matt will at first be torn, but happy to be a father. "Matt, the baby...it's not yours. It's Kanes..." This seems like the only logical conclusion to this ridiculous angle involving these three (IMO) boring wrestlers. At least they're all lumped together, tho.

I predict Lita will face WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus at WWE Vengance. I have a pretty accurate prediction for the match. After *standing behind Tyson Tomko at the bar*, I am even more assured that Trish is booked to win the match, but Tomko will botch a kick, connecting with Trish, who will bump into Lita's stomach... After Ross delivers the "Folks, this wasn't in the script...here comes the EMTS..." speech, the lights will go out, with a hole in Lita's belly, and the RED LIGHTS AND PYRO.... MAH GAWD!!!!!!!! THAT'S GODDA BE THE FETUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wait.

New Jack is an indy wrestler that is stiff and a legit murderer/killer/tough guy. Let his "reputation" in the sport build. Wrestle a * match, will you?

1988-89 NWA got me addicted to wrestling.
-
Flair/Race is terrible, IMO. If you're accustomed to modern wrestling you'll probably hate it. A slow brawl with Flair actually hitting a (sloppy) pin cover off the top rope. Special referee hurt the match, as well. But still, it's the ME of the first Starrcade, so it's got significance. The "real" feel to the match due to its buildup makes it watchable.

SD SPOILER - Info on Mordecai

Unless Mordecai costs Eddie the strap. Worse has happened. -
Has there ever been a 5 star match?
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to DangerousDamon's topic in General Wrestling
*Benoit wrestling Eddie in WCW doesn't look too much different from Benoit wrestling Eddie in Japan.* Hahaha. -
Well, they did a great Owen/Bret Iron Man match. Bret/Flair was damn good, too. Bret/Michaels was pretty good, if not very slow. Angle/Lesnar was good, but marred by commercial breaks and silly falls. Rock/HHH was pretty awesome. The phrase "make them the standard-bearers" would be better than "make them perfect".
-
Come to think of it, they also had a history of taking the WWF's gimmicks or storylines and messing them up, too by doing them half-assed. Sigh.
-
WCW had a history of using gimmicks or ideas in a half-assed, shitty way before the WWF would soon take them and perfect them.
-
Man Of 1k, for the Iron Man Matches, you should check out Beach Blast '92, which had an AWESOME Rude Vs. Steamboat 30-minute match during the Bill Watts WCW era. Blows Brock/Angle and Bret/Shawn away, easily.

Give your opinion on FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE matches... Here's a few nominees... Sullivan Vs. Benoit (GAB 96) Sullivan Vs. Benoit (Clash, Jan. 97) HHH Vs. Cactus (Raw 97) Cactus Vs. Van Hammer (Clash, Jan 92) Sting Vs. Cactus (Beach Blast 92) Cactus/Payne Vs. Nastys (Stampede 94) Missing a bunch more, I know. Thoughts?
