2 hours away... Tonight's gonna be a "new beginning" with feuds and such, I hope.

Do any of you want to pitch in for the webcast...
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
I'll be home around 9 pm tonight, I wanted to actually catch the replay of the entire show. So I guess I can't help ya live, anymore. Maybe wait, and someone will cap the PPV or something -
Interested in seeing what they do with Shelton... He should beat Flair clean. But it's WWE, so I'm guessing he defeats Flair by DQ, as Flair & Batista attack him after the bell. Leads to Shelton and Maven or someone Vs. Flair & Batista tomorrow. Which sucks, because Shelton should be a singles star. Just let him beat Flair clean and keep rising to take the belt off of Orton!

I WILL PITCH IN. Seriously, I just got a brand new high-spped computer and my friends dont want to go to a bar to watch a non-special (i.e. Rumble, WMania) PPV. So we're gonna watch it on the computer. What's the price? -
He can sheriff all the balding, overweight Japanese wrestlers whose last good matches were in the early-mid 1990's that everyone jizzes over for throwing a kick or palm "blast" today, still. WHAT?!? WHAT?!? WHAT!??! Keeps him off TV, hopefully.

Hey buddy, get it right... Flair won his 2nd WWF Title, days after WM, in HERSHEY, PA. Not Landover.

There was a brief skirmish between Edge and Jarrett... Ah, yes. Jarrett cheated to defeat Christian to retain the title in one RAW episode. I believe a tag match between Gangrel/Jarrett Vs. The Brood occured shortly after. Edge got the pin. Jarrett was set to defend the title against Edge at FL til he won it at the house show. STU-PID. I don't recall Austin/Jarrett ever being planned for a big main event. Jarrett didn't even appear on the June PPV (KOTR) and was just coming off a program against Val Venis and Nicole Bass. The gears were turning for a HHH main event slot since WM 15.

So I burned files onto a CD-R disc. A 50-minute .WMV file of "The Monday Night War"...part 1 is this file. It copied successfully. Can it be played in my DVD player? I loaded the disc, and the display said "VCD Disc" and then the screen went black. I would think I'd have to download onto a blank DVD disc...and thus have a DVD burned (which I think the computer has), but I've been told burning onto the CD-R would work. What are the steps I need to take?

They've had one match. How is it an excellent feud? If Foley's appearence was a one-shot, it'd be cool. But I had to see him last SUMMER...and then in DECEMBER...and then walk away from Orton...and then at the Rumble...and then get his ass kicked by Evolution...and then an awful "Mick, This is Your Life!"...and then the WM match...and then a run-in...and now watch Mick "wrestle" next week on Raw AND at Backlash. He didn't "come back for WM XX". He came back to bore me for months.

Media post: The Rock Vs. HHH
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
Well hey thanks for the upload. Let me know if ya can get the end on...it's such a great match to not see the finish ! -
And Rico's more talented than Foley right now, anyway. Foley's the equivalent of a fat, high school gym teacher. Can't give up old memories and comes back for some pocket change. Orton would be the useless face jock in that class, that will never amount to anything.

RRR, The fact that Benoit is beating mid-card challengers (Rhyno) in a few minutes as champ, instead of building to matches with mid-carders at PAY PER VIEWS (see A-train) shows that he has been elevated. As far as crowd acceptance as champion, I was at the RAW the night after WM. Benoit received the biggest pop of the night. He's also received great reactions on Raw in following weeks. What show are you watching? How did Benoit's title EVER chase play second fiddle to Orton/Foley? By being the MAIN EVENT at WM? By having CONTRACT SIGNINGS? By enduring a week of a cliffhanger of "What decision will Bischoff make about the main event?" By having Austin personally introduce Benoit to Raw? By actually producing a GREAT match? By having Benoit/HHH/HBK constantly focused on in the main events AFTER WM? By promoting (before the show) a HBK/Benoit tag title match? By having benoit KICK HHH's ASS in the first segment of the Raw the night after WM? By having Benoit go over in the main event the night after WM? By having HHH take out Benoit last week? By having Benoit cost HHH a victory in a Raw main event against Benjamin? Oh, sorry. Foley got beat up in a BORING beatdown in the ring. Lost a decent match at WM. Did a run-in the night after. Gave a taped promo. Foley/Orton *really* upstaged Benoit's title scene!

I DL'd this...the video stops right as brisco/patterson and Vince are beating down Rock...anyone else? Shall I re-DL or is that the clip? -
Foley's promo was good. But, I think the fact that SOMETHING in this feud wasn't awful is clouding a lot of your judgments and making you overrate it. It was a good promo. Benoit over HHH is storyline of the year because: -Benoit won the Rumble with an amazing performance. -He came to RAW, with no story, and the fans and crowd were confused. -He went on to defeat make Batista tap, something no one else has done. -He beat Flair. -He won over the fans and MAIN EVENTED the biggest show ever, and produced a **** match at Mania with two guys who we thought would never be upstaged. -He has been booked as a strong champion, and is now receiving tremendous responses as the fans are accepting him as a credible Raw main eventer. -They're booking a rematch based on the strength of the WM Main event. -Benoit's gone from wrestling A-Train and Matt Morgan, to feuding with Mr. Helmsley-McMahon, main eventing Raw, and holding the World Title, in a few months. Elevation. Foley Vs. Orton? A fat, washed up, overrated legend who wrote an excellent autobiography Vs. a young kid that the WWE is pushing down our throats. Storyline of the year, my ass.

MISTA SPARKKKKLLLEEE!!!!!!!!! Ooooh, Mista Sparkle!!! Hoooo ya!!! -
Absolutely not. Neither man has the in-ring skill to back up the storyline. Besides, we've gotten... THREE-on-ONE beatdowns of Foley for 2 months. ROCK RETURNS. Which has taken the focus off the Foley/Orton singles hatred. Only now is it (kind of picking up). Benoit's performance at the Rumble and spectacular effort at WM to the top of RAW is the best storyline in a long while.

Well, it is fake. He makes his bread & butter in sports. I'd mock wrestling, too.

Hey everyone, Day One is here. No bitching, the other NCAA Thread was slack and had discussion of opening round ACC tounrye games on the last page. MANHATTAN looking good so far against Florida. That little guy Minor is a crowd favorite.

WWE WRESTLERS DETAINED AT THE BORDER AFTER BIG MEX

I'd so search Trish and grab her breasts by mistake. -
Easy enough. Since all we've been doing is yelling 'bout April Fools and wrestlers leaving or getting fired...who's the one guy/girl on the roster you enjoy more than anyone else? Right now, I'm goin' with the champ, Chris Benoit. Dig the theme music, he can drag an exciting match out of everyone, he's a believable champ, unpredictable title reign, and HE'LL MAKE YOU TAP. Later!

That was an awesome, tucked Pedigree. Makes it look like the skull/spine was compacted against the canvas, instead of the face hitting the canvas.
