Vince should donate money to someone if he wants good publicity...not make Eddie, Benoit, WGTT, etc. travel to a shithole country less than a week before Christmas to put on a meaningless show.

    Polite Request to the Recappers/Mods...

It's also remarkable that said re-caps consistentlly complain about the WWE's policy of the "glass ceiling" and "Vince's stupid policies" when the reviews are posted, in essence, above everyone else's thoughts and certain thoughts are not allowed to be expressed. As Mr. Backlund would say...QUAGMIRING IN A SEA OF HYPOCRISY!

***it's the reviews that get people to this site, not the forum. Therefore the better the recaps (which will be helped by feedback) the more traffic the site gets.*** Wow, is your name Jim Ross?

The other 1/2 will be highlights of the INTENSE~! CROWD-PLEASING FEUD between Baldcore Holly and the Great White Gorilla. Mean Gene can do it, and Bob Costas, can make his return. I predict Brock attacks Hardcore backstage and stuffs him in in a trashcan, then beats the trashcan on the walls. Then McMahon laughs and says "Ho, ho ho...Brock...I guess you Decked the Halls with Holly! Fa la la la la..." and expects everyone to laugh and the ratings to rise and it's 1998 all over. Next week they don't, and Benoit loses to Matt Morgan to push new talent into a new era of WWE!

MoleSlayer, I'm not kissing ass. I don't want them to get the wrong idea of what the point I am trying to get across is. I'm not bashing their stuff, I just don't think it belongs here. Who's to say a review, with 2 replies of feedback, belongs in "IMPORTANT STUFF" while a 9-page thread on Jericho and Trish doesn't?

    Smackdown rating 3.4

***Like it or not, the guy's a draw, and possibly the best character in WWE right now.*** <checks the buyrates for WWE No Mercy, which featured the McMahon-McMahon match as the most heavily hyped of the evening...> <checks the buyrates for WWE Vengeance, which featured McMahon-Gowen ALL OVER the Smackdown before it, a Gowen "Vince can't hold me down" Sunday Night Heat vignette for 15 minutes, and heavily co-promoted as biggest match next to 3-way main event> <checks buyrates for WM 19, the McMahon/Hogan match, which got promoted over the other main events, was the COVER ART for the show, and had the longest promo-videos> Vince is not a draw. Don't kid yourself. The Vince-family bullshit has killed, or at least not allowed the ratings to grow, for months. No one cares about Vince McMahon. It's not 1999. Stone Cold can't beat him up. He's old. He's boring. Let them wrestle.

That was the point. It was a joke. Vince'll find a way to clip it even more. SOMEBODY CALL MY MOMMA!

No offense... But this show will get a very poor rating. I don't know what "new fans" it's going to attract/appeal to. It's a very nice gesture and a good PR move, but isn't it a Christmas Smackdown? How many "fans" will see it? I know I won't be watching Bradshaw on Christmas Night, I'll be with my family & friends. Personally, I find the decision to tape a Christmas Night show very STUPID on WWE's part. If they wanted to make it special, air it in the middle of say, the WM-hype chase, so more people would see it.

One and Only NFL Week 16 Thread

The Chiefs being exposed as first/second round losers. They'll still be very tough to beat at home, however. I'm doing good with picks. I went with Atlanta and Minnesota. Wins by Cincy and the Jets will SO make my week, financially, and as a fan.

One and Only NFL Week 16 Thread

As a diehard Eagles fan who had his heart ripped out earlier this year by Tampa, a nice little **FUCK YOU, NA NA NA NA....** goes out to the Buccaneers, on a wonderful 7-8 season! Yay!!! Also, the Chiefs are getting routed. Nice.

Maven sucks, so much. Nowinski may not be miles ahead, wrestling-wise, but at least he's had some entertaining moments. You could have substituted "random jobber X" to dropkick UT over the ropes at the Royal Rumble. Nowinski just looks like an asshole, which I like.

What if they made an Owen Hart DVD?

reshad, Ric Flair is also a WWE Superstar, and thus, you go to the WWE folder to read about him. Also, the Flair DVD is not a figment of my imagination. If I was to discuss a possible, say, Chris Jericho DVD, I'd post it here, b/c fans come to the WWE folder to read information relevant to WWE SUPERSTARS. I guess that's just my opinion, tho, but I sure don't want to see even MORE clutter on the WWE boards. This main page has enough crap that doesn't belong, already.

"Tonight, after we beat Trish and Bubba Ray...I'm going to break...Molly's...hymen." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Nowinski was so great. I remember the Nowinski/Dreamer classroom fight when he hit Tommy with the skeleton or something. He had a really bright future, IMO, with the right fine-tuning.

S_D, that sounds like how I lost my girlfriend 2 years ago in college. Goddamn inadvertant table bumps.

    Favorite dropped storylines of 2003

Ultimo, I remember that stuff. Victoria was introduced in that angle, by Molly, when the 3 of them (and Regal?) were backstage. Did injuries kill that angle or was it forgotten? 'Cause that whole stuff happened around what, September-Nov. 02 right...yet Nowinski was teaming with Rodney Mack by June '03. They probably forgot it. What was that "hymen" line that Nowinski used that one time?

    Favorite dropped storylines of 2003

Hmm...Spike and Molly... I never really got into that whole thing, as it was kinda bland and contrived. I DID like when Austin insulted Molly and Spike stood up for his girl. But then they just had Austin squash Spike and it was silly. Yeah, how did Molly turn to Hurricane? Was it explained? I recall her showing up as "Mighty Molly" one week and Spike being upset. Where's the Molly Holly mark at, he should know for sure! Explanation!

What if they made an Owen Hart DVD?

This really doesn't belong here. Owen was never in the "WWE", first off. And his last appearence was over 3 years ago, isn't the grounds for going to the "Old School" folder. Case closed.

    Favorite dropped storylines of 2003

Kidman was never teased to be a heel. He just showed up with a short haircut, and dressed nicely, with some hot ladies. That was the internet who started that rumor, although obviously it could've easily happened. If I recall, he appeared during an Ultimo Vs. Rey match and put over both guys afterwards. Then he started teaming with Rey, gained some momentum, and dissapeared, like Kidman always has since 2001.

    Favorite dropped storylines of 2003

**THE D-VON and BATISTA STORYLINE WAS ENDED** Batista and D-Von were never friends. They were partners in D-Von's ministry. Once their team started losing, Batista attacked "Reverend D-Von" and kicked his ass the next week, as well. They had a match, and Batista destroyed him again. Batista then went to RAW and D-Von recruited Ron Simmons as his new partner. That seems like the end of the storyline for me. Batista couldn't be controlled, and kicked D-Von's ass. He went to a different show. **THE Mr. AMERICA STORYLINE WAS ENDED** Lame as it was, with Hulk leaving/whatever so abruptly. Mr. McMahon's cameras caught Mr. America unmasking backstage, and he was "revealed" to be Hulk Hogan. McMahon, as promised, instantly fired Hogan. He's still gone. ***DIVAS Vs. TRISH*** Molly hates Trish because Molly is "pure" and Trish represents glamour, sexuality, and a title threat. Victoria hates Trish because they "both started out in fitness competitions together" and Trish was contacted before Victoria to come to the WWE. Victoria crazily believes Trish cost Victoria a shot at coming sooner by "sleeping her way" to the top. Gail Kim hates Trish because 1)Trish accidently kicked her in a tag match (trish/gail Vs. molly/victoria) and cost Gail her first ever loss. ALso, that loss led to the Molly Vs. Gail match the next week, in which Kim lost the Women's Title. Molly brainwashed Gail Kim into eliminating Trish from WWE. Lita likes Trish. Ivory, as a face, by default, at least tolerates Trish. Jazz's hatred for Trish stems to Jazz's WWF debut, at SSeries 01, which was ruined when Trish gotr the upset win in the 6-pack match for the Women's Title. Tehy feuded forever, and she sees Trish as nothing but "great white hype". Teddy Long also has added to her hatred for the white man, or in this case, the white girl.

    Goldberg's Night Before Christmas

Oh, wasn't a direct question for ya. Thanks for posting it, though. I love how these internet sheets like to "look cool" by doing something like this to "impress the internet smarks". If they wanted to bash Goldberg, now wasn't the time to do it. He was a credible champion whose thunder was taken away for no reason. If anyone from the Torch is reading this and thinks they made me "chuckle" by acting like a mark and writing this crap: Fuck you.

    The OAO Velocidental Thread

Hmmm, I'm gonna bar-hop tonight, so I won't be here to contribute my 2-cents...which is usually half of the money posted here by all 2 of us. ***Don’t miss Velocity this week when two high-flying tag teams meet up as Ultimo Dragon & Billy Kidman meet Akio & Sakoda in what should be an action-packed thriller!*** Hmm...I don't remember Ultimo, Akio or Sakoda doing any "high-flying" lately. Kidman's been hurt and has been allowed to do a couple (read:2) neat moves since what, the brand extension began? Yawn, match may be cool, but will mean nothing. ***Both young teams*** Ultimo and Kidman, those rookies. ***whoever wins this match may take a giant step towards that goal.*** The goal = Jobbing to the FBI next week. ***Cruiserweight Champion Tajiri faces Paul London*** Awesome! ***Johnny Stamboli will meet Spanky*** Well...at least both members of my favorite team are on. Tho both will probably job. ***Perhaps the most intriguing match could be Funaki against Matt Morgan*** Who writes this, really? Does RUE like, drink a beer and get wasted and them phone this crap in? Have either Funaki or Matt Morgan had ANY moments of intrigue in their lives? Alrite, I liked the "INDEED!" stuff...for 2 weeks... ***Will Funaki’s experience overcome Morgan’s size and strength?*** No. ***join several WWE Superstars as they share their own personal tips to make travel as stress-free as possible.*** YES, show the plane ride!!!! ***so who better to ask for travel tips than expert travelers?*** Re-read this question over & over to decide if the WWE writers are talented. ***Eddie Guerrero’s star has never shined brighter in WWE, as Latino Heat is enjoying popularity the likes of which he has never seen before.*** He was more over in WCW in 1997. He was more over in WWF in 2000. ***Bradshaw surfed the wild waves of Australia*** I can't even begin. ***a classic match between the Honky Tonk Man and Ultimate Warrior from SummerSlam 1988.*** Vince will clip this down to 8 seconds to get highlights of Vince & The Cat from Smackdown. Sorry to be so negative, I usually watch both shows. But this is PATHETIC. Tajiri/London could be neat...we'll see.

For the idiot that just posted: "No way they'd bait and switch those troops!" Are you serious? As if these guys who are risking their lives overseas 1)Know what the hell a bait and switch is and 2)Could care about a wrestling-ploy more than serving the country. I'm sure they'd riot if WWE came to cheer them up with a great show and GASP!, the fake wrestling match didnt end with the fake title prop going to the rap guy. May as well send them home, how dare Vince!

    Goldberg's Night Before Christmas

Goldberg has every right to be pissed off. His character was basically fucked over at Armageddon. And why is the X-Division mentioned in a WWE story? The X-Division sucks.

    PPV in Philly Question

I love the back of the Judgment Day 2001 DVD, which attempts to make up for the low attendance and lousy Sacramento crowd. "Even the laid-back California crowd at the Arco Arena couldn't stop the vicious battle between Taker and Stone Cold!" Substitute "vicious" for whatever word they used.

About the Survivor Series 2003 DVD...

I came on here and absolutely put over the SS 2003 show after watching it live. After purchasing the DVD: -John Cena's rap was AWFUL. He added nothing to the match either, except a really cool finish. Not badmouthing Cena overall, I LIKE HIM, but he had an off night. -Nathan Jones falls on his ass after accidently kicking Morgan. -Nathan Jones blunder NUMBER TWOOOOO: He comes in way too soon after Angle Angleslams Morgan and stands there, watching his partner get pinned. -Benoit's armwork on Brock rules. -No one cares about The Bashams. -Kane/Shane was decent, nothing special, nothing too good. Not worth buying a DVD for. -The 10-man RAW match is nearly FLAWLESS. My friends pointed out that there were nearly NO restholds. Henry looked like a total badass. RVD's 5-star was awesome. Dudleys look strong. Orton/Christian look like pussy heels. Jericho's sleeperdrop on D-Von was cool. Michaels MADE this match a **** affair. Batista's interference was kinda lame. Crowd nuts themselves for Austin attacking Orton/Bischoff. -BUILD A BRIDGE was a good song for this event, and added to the Goldberg/HHH video package. Fuck you, WWE for being cheap. -Didn't watch Undertaker/Vince again because I like neither.
