    Mick Foley DVD

I can take ONE, and only ONE match being re-issued for this DVD, or I'm not purchasing it. I guess I'd like to see: -Mankind Vs. Triple H, Canadian Stampede IYH (Never Seen It) -Cactus Jack Vs. Big Van Vader, Havoc 93 -Mankind's debut promos from '96, and inital attacks on Sparky Plugg, Undertaker, etc. -Dude Love & Steve Austin Vs. Owen & Bulldog (RAW '97) -Foley's jobber tag Vs. British Bulldogs... -Cactus & Abdullah WCW montage I dunno. I don't really think we need another Foley DVD/Video already. We've got 3 Faces, Hard Knocks, and that other one, something of a Madman (don't have it)

Cena goes to shake Taker's hand, but is chokeslammed! Styles, Sabin, Raven, and Daniels run out to the ring and confront Bischoff! They then begin slapping high-fives with the Undertaker! Bischoff announces that he's finally secured some "real" talent to the WWE, and that with The Undertaker in charge of this group, called "The New Pollution", the WWE will never be the same! The fans are loudly booing Bischoff and Undertaker, who was alligned with the evil WWE owner all along. The New Pollution and Bischoff leave the ring, as Cena looks on, VERY pissed, with blood dripping down his face.

"Rollin'" hits as The Undertaker hits the ring, riding his motorcycle. Triple H's theme plays as this epic contest begins between two men that together have been WWE Champion 11 times. SemiFinal #1: The Undertaker Vs. Triple H. Triple H works over Taker's knee, with kneedrops, a Boston crab, and dropping Taker's knee on his own, ala Flair. Trips takes Taker to the outside, hitting him with 2 steel chairshots! Back inside, Hunter cannot pin Taker, and the Deadman retaliates with right hands, a big boot, and a flying clothesline! "Evolution" plays as Batista comes to the ring alone. Triple H's music hits, and Trips comes to the ring with Ric Flair. QuarterFinal #3: Triple H Vs. Ric Flair. Batista stands outside the ring as the ref begins counting....1...2...3....was this all a ruse? 7....8....9...but NO! Batista has second-guessed his decision and slid into the ring. Triple H gives him a shot, and Batista slides back out to the floor, to be counted out...but once again slides back in at 9! The match is on! Batista dominates the Game with clotheslines, but HHH hits the kneebreaker to regain control. A faint "Batista!" chant can be heard. Trips uses a few school-boy rollups, but can't pin the big man. Batista slingshots HHH into the post, busting him open! A second kneebreaker occurs, and HHH hits the Pedigree! 1...2...NO! Batista fights back, but is thrown into the steel steps outside! HHH to the top, but Batista throws him off! Clothesline! And another! Spinning powerslam! 1...2...NO! HHH kicks out. Trips responds, hitting the Harley Race flying knee and two back suplexes. Trips is destroying Batista like an old shoe. HHH hits the second Pedigree for the 3 count. Winner: Triple H Match Rating: ** -Backstage, Eric Bischoff is confronted by pro wrestlers AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Raven, and Chris Sabin. He has no idea of who they are, except for Raven, who he tells to keep his distance. Styles is the spokesperson for this quartet, who want WWE contracts. Bischoff laughs and says to show up Thursday on Smackdown, and he may just have something for them. Rob Van Dam enters the scene and high-fives the four superstars, saying he's glad they got his invitation to RAW. The five walk off together as Bischoff looks furious at Van Dam. THE LUGZ BOOT OF THE WEEK: Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle capture the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Titles at WWE No Mercy 2002 last year. Quarter-Final Match #4: Chris Benoit Vs. Kurt Angle...but first... "Welllll......Well It's The Big Show!" Entertaining no one, The Big Show lumbers to the ring to announce his defending of the U.S. Heavyweight Title on Smackdown against whomever has the guts to face him. -Benoit enters first to a great pop, and Angle receives the same ovation. Angle with the matwork to start, but Benoit gains the advantage by brawling and hitting a STIFF clothesline! Batista walks in and HHH stands face to face with him. Hunter backs off and motions Batista to their couch, where the big guy sits next to Flair, quietly. A graphic is shown for the Upcoming Taker Vs. Triple H Semi-Final Bout.

-We come back to Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle, who put over their historic rivalry that will once again come to a head tonight! -"Holla if Ya Hear Me" plays, as Scott Steiner enters the ring. He says he doesn't respect The Undertaker, as Steiner kicked every big name's ass in WCW and didn't need to dress up like a corpse to do so. Is Russo writing this? Taker (who is the bikertaker, btw...) comes out, and we have... Quarter-Final #1: The Undertaker Vs. Scott Steiner. Steiner takes advantage early, stoping and suplexing Steiner before the two head to the outside. Taker gains the advantage, sending Scott into the security rail and the ringpost. Inside, Taker hits a flying clothesline and a chokeslam. Steiner appears dazed, but low blows Taker, and clotheslines him down. "Boring" chants can be heard...as the Internet has rumored Steiner to be fired soon from WWE. Steiner hits a belly-to-belly (quite nicely), but Taker recovers, chokeslamming him for the 3-count. Winner: The Undertaker Match Rating: * -Backstage, Triple H is furious, saying "Now I've got to go through HIM!" Batista sits up, and says "Wrong...now you've got to go through ME!" and walks out of the room. The two Evolution members fight later on tonight! Has Triple H just pissed off his supposed partner? "Word Life" hits as John Cena heads to the ring. He freestyles about never, ever, being able to defeat Lesnar. But now he sees Lesnar not as an unstoppable king, but a boring gorilla that jumps in the ring. Lesnar's called him pathetic and just a lame duck, but tonight Lesnar learns that Cena doesn't give a _____ ~! QuarterFinal Match #2: John Cena Vs. Brock Lesnar. Cena holds his own, but it's only a matter of time before Lesnar lands a backbreaker, release German, overhead belly-to-belly, and BIG clothesline! Cena fights back, avoiding the F-5 and delivering a dropkick that sends Brock to the outside. Cena sends Brock into the post, and they're back in the ring. Later, Brock dominates Cena with German Suplexes, but Cena kicks out after 2.999. Cena delivers a pumphandle slam, ala the Road Dogg for 2. Brock hits a big powerslam, and foolishly climbs the ropes, issing a flying kneedrop! Cena dominates now, hitting big right hands and a powerslam, and delivering the F-U pretty much out of nowhere for a shocking victory! Winner: John Cena Match Rating: *** -Backstage, Bischoff smirks at the replay of Lesnar being pinned. He is approached by Chris Jericho, who demands a title shot against the WWE Champion next week on RAW. Bischoff says that this Thursday, on Smackdown!, Jericho will face Rob Van Dam in a steel cage match, with the winner getting a title shot here next week against the WWE Champion. Jericho questions Bischoff putting RVD in a potential #1 Contender's Match, but Easy-E assures Y2J that "all will be taken care of". -Backstage, John Cena is exhausted, and sitting in his locker roo fresh after his upset victory. Cena is approached by Rikishi, Eddie Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero, Spanky, and Paul London. Guerrero fires Cena up, saying he's in the Final Four, and tonight is the turning point in WWE! A night where the young blood grab that bat and hit a home run! Guerrero delivers an AMAZING promo, citing how guys like himself, Ricky Steamboat, Owen Hart, Curt Hennig, Davey Boy Smith, and others never had the chance to win the big one in the WWE. Tonight, the only person stopping Cena is Cena...and Guerrero thinks he's ready! A staredown between Guerrero and Cena, former enemies occurs, but Cena high-fives Eddie to a LOUD pop! -Ric Flair walks into the dressing room, mocking Guerrero and saying how guys like him, Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, and "especially you, you Eminem wannabe" aren't World Champions for a reason...because you're not in the league of guys like Triple H! The crowd boos...as Batista walks and bumps into Flair...who looks concerned...

    6. Brock Lesnar Vs. A-Train -Before the match, Lesnar cuts a promo. He asks if the people want to see A-Train get taken out. They cheer. He asks if they want Eric Bischoff to have his ass kicked. They cheer louder. He says tonight, in this very ring, he'll do both, if needed. Lesnar then calls the fans pathetic, saying they'll cheer like puppets for anyone that raises their voice loud enough. He'll win this tournament for himself, and the fans can all either A)Kiss his ass, or B)sit there and like it. A-Train enters and the two have a slow starting match, which Lesnar dominates with suplexes, a bearhug, and several German release suplexes. A-Train battles back, hitting his Baldo Bomn, which Lesnar kicks out of. Lesnar hits a HUGE release German, and it looks like A-Train struck the back of his head on the turnbuckle, as he's out of it. An F-5, and Lesnar advances! -Backstage, Eric Bischoff mocks Shawn Michaels in the medical area. Bischoff says it would only be fair to postpone the match until later in the show...as Batista's music plays in the arena. Bischoff says he's never been a fair man, and says Michaels had best get out there now...or he's fired! 7. Shawn Michaels Vs. Batista Batista absolutely destroys Michaels early on, hitting a variety of powerslams, clotheslines, and power stomps. He takes him outside and hits him with a chair, bloodying Michaels severely. Batista attempts to piledriver Michaels through a table, but HBK backdrops him! Back in the ring, Batista can not put him away, as Michaels hits a flying clothesline and a back suplex. Michaels connects with a big splash off the top for 2. Batista again attempts a clothesline, but the bloodies Michaels duck, slams the big man, and delivers Sweet Chin Music for the 1...2...KICKOUT~! Michaels is too tired to attempt the move again, and he falls prey to 3 straight Batista powerslams! Batista hits the Tigerbomb for 1...2...KICKOUT~! Batista picks up Michaels and hits a 2nd Tigerbomb for the 3 count. Winner: Batista Match Rating: *** 1/2 -Postmatch, Rob Van Dam attends to Michaels. Rob, of course, is not entered in this tournament due to his supporting Steve Austin at last November's Survivor Series...along with The Dudleys and Booker T. Michaels was allowed to compete in the tournament after winning a qualifying handicapped match last week against Chris Jericho and The Big Show. -Backstage, Kurt Angle's interview segment is interrupted by Tajiri, the WWE Cruiserweight Champion. Angle can't understand Tajiri's words, and replies with "Yokohama, Tokyo, All Those Places Are Just Crap! All I know is tonight, grasshoppa, You're Going to Freakin' Tap!" Tajiri storms off. 8. Kurt Angle Vs. Tajiri. Akio and Sekata are not with Tajiri. Tajiri dominates early, with stiff kicks, and reversing Angle's matwork attempts! Tajiri has hurt Angle's left arm severely, and Angle somehow refuses to tap out to a number of submissions. Eventually, the tide turns, as Angle suplexes Tajiri around the mat, hitting his Angle Slam, but unable to capitalize. Tajiri battles back, put falls prey to a 2nd Angle Slam, and the Anglesault hits~!, pinning the Cruiserweight Champ. Good bout. Winner: Kurt Angle Match Rating: **** -Backstage, Eric Bischoff looks on at the brackets... HHH Vs. Batista-x Undertaker Vs. Scott Steiner Lesnar Vs. Cena Angle-x Vs. Benoit ...when Evolution walks in...Batista and Triple H stare at the brackets and walk off as we fade to commercial...

Backstage, Brock Lesnar tells The Coach he hasno business in a tournament, since he is the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Eric Bischoff interrupts and takes the title belt off of him, and A-Train tells Lesnar that tonight he will take Lesnar's place as the biggest monster in the WWE. Lesnar smirks and walks off. 3. Chris Benoit Vs. Randy Orton. Orton is accompanied by Ric Flair. Benoit dominated the young Orton early, using suplexes and chops to wear him down. Orton retaliated finally with a dropkick and many stomps. Orton's irish whip attempts was reversed and Benoit locked in the Crippler Crossface. Orton was controversially close to the ropes, but tapped out, as Benoit advanced. Winner: Chris Benoit Match Rating: ** 4. Scott Steiner Vs. Eddie Guerrero.. Noticably absent is Stacy Kiebler, who Steiner has apparently banned from ringside. Steiner no-sells/blocks all of Eddie's trademark offense early on. Eddie battles back, hitting a dropkick, suplex, and brainbuster in succession. Guerrero attempts the Frogsplash, but Steiner gets the knees up. Eddie's flying clothesline is blocked, and Steiner hits a spinning Belly-to-Belly to gain the upset victory. Winner: Scott Steiner Match Rating: * -Backstage, HBK tells Michael Cole he's ready to become a 5-time World Champion, but he's attacked by Batista! Batista slams Michaels into the wall and delivers three brutal chairshots to HBK! He's down and bloodied. 5. The Undertaker Vs. Kane. This is Taker's return to the WWE, following a "Loser Leaves WWE" match between he and Kane several months ago. Bischoff's winning of the entire WWE brand nullifies the stipulation, apparently. This is short and sweet, as the trimmer, slimmer Taker punished Kane with lefts and rights, and a chokeslam. Taker sends Kane to the floor, where he delivers a chairshot and delivers the Last Right on the floor! Kane is out cold, and Taker rolls in for the countout victory. Winner: The Undertaker Match Rating: * -Backstage, Shawn Michaels is being attended to, as they've got the bleeding to stop on his forehead...

    WWE World Title Tourney

RAW is WAR 1. Triple H Vs. Goldberg. Trips is escorted by Ric Flair, who Goldberg foolishly attacks first, taking his eye off The Game. Trips blocks Goldberg's early spear attempt, as dominates the former Georgia Bulldog's leg with some boring submission work. Backbody drop by Goldberg, but the second spear attempt is blocked and he's hit with Hunter's kneebreaker. Trips throws BG to the floor and executes a Pedigree after slamming Goldy into the security wall. Trips wins the bout by countout, much to the fans dismay, advancing. Winner: Triple H Match Rating: DUD. -John Cena enters the ring, making some crude remarks about his new boss, Eric Bischoff in the process. Cena is not dressed to wrestle, as later on he'll meet a substitute for the injured Christian in the tournament. "Break the Walls Down....~!" Chris Jericho interrupts Cena, and the two exchange words, as on the TitanTron appear Eric Bischoff & Christian, wearing a cast. Bischoff announced that Cena's match will happen NOW, and Cena is attacked from behind by...Christian? It was a taped segment, and Cena is floored by the cast on the obviously uninjured Christian. 2. John Cena Vs. Christian. The match loses heat early, but Cena eventually builds momentu. Great spot as Cena attacks Jericho outside the ring, and slides back in, as Christian's plancha misses Cena and hits Jericho! Christian's piledriver is reversed, and Cena connects with the F-U to gain a hard fought victory to advance. Winner: John Cena Match Rating: ** Backstage, Evolution plots strategy for the rest of the night. HHH tells Batista to eliminate Michaels once and for all, as Orton explains how he is the WWE's true technician, not Chris Benoit...

I don't get the point of Palumbo/Funaki...they're decent in the ring, yeah, but what's the point? Palumbo's a tag wrestler, Funaki's enhancement talent. Neither guy should really "win" this singles match. Neither guy's gonna benefit from the win. Like, even if it was Nathan Jones squashing someone, at least it says "Jones is tough. He wins.
