Sorry Cena, but people can only be cool when: A) You don't have to TELL your peers you're cool or in this case B) You don't tell peers they should feel obligated to acknowledge your coolness WWE sucks. God, now they're actually pretending Michaels/Cena matches are something special. Not feeling that workrate? Too bad, because now we're forcing to you to believe you saw it, damnit! Ignore those 20+ minutes of laying on the mat, long awkward periods of no-selling again, or even "high-impact" fake looking moves. WE CAN WRESTLE. BETTER THAN ANYONE. IT'S WWE! Somewhere in the WWE Collective - they have a vision of "Top WWE Matches Ever By Far, No Doubt" - it goes - Andre/Hogan, Michaels/Bret, and Cena/Michaels. Those are what every wrestler should want to be - Fucking boring.

So I'm watching my PC's video files on my TV by using Orb in the Wii's Internet Browser. How can I get rid of that obscenely huge "browsing menu" at the bottom of the screen that Opera Browser uses? Seriously, this Spike & Buh Buh Ray Dudley Vs. Little Guido & Davey Morton Tyler Jericho Paizano from 12-24-96 ECW Hardcore TV *needs* full-screen goodness.

The Eagles shitty drafting continues. A 4th QB! Yay!
-
Bagwell was an awesome young worker back in '91-94 WCW, though.

After smoking cigarettes for 5 years I quit. Yay. 3 days strong. Fill this thread with good advice to help me stay off the cancer-causing tar sticks.

Rod Barajas sucks so much. Um, can we get Chris Coste back, please? 3-0 Nats over Phils in the 6th. Sean Hill is a pretty damn good opponent for Cole Hamels and is outpitching him. Cole has loaded the bases in the 6th and given up 2 runs so far. Damn.

Discuss what you're reading from Marvel, current storylines, please use spoilers for rumors and reveals. Spider-Man Books The Black Costume is back to show villains that Spidey's old rules don't apply now that May got shot. - He's after the guy that shot her in Amazing. May's in a coma. - In Friendly Neighborhood, Peter is Flash Thompson's assistant, Flash sees through Peter's hologram, and lets Pete stay with him. A Spider-Man from the future came to the present and was killed by who appears to be Uncle Ben. Peter and The Sandman (Sandy's dad apparently was framed for murdering the guy who looks like Uncle Ben...confused yet?) are hot on the trail of the Uncle Ben guy. - In Spectacular, a buncha people have Spider powers and Peter wants to know why. He gets some help from Mr. Fantastic and Doc Connors to solve this. Mr. Hyde is behind all the Spider-power guys, and his next test subject was Peter's best biology student. Spidey rounds them all up and throws the Spider-power people into a jail cell when Connors can cure them. Hyde is doing this to see if test subjects that are just like Peter when he got the Spider-Powers would go "good" or "Bad". Mr. Fantastic and Peter have a not-so-friendly secret meeting, and Peter goes after Hyde in the sewers, who seems him coming. Amazing feels like the more "important" book, but Friendly, despite this ridiculous Sandman/Peter team-up story, has nice art and I like the supporting cast. Spectacular's art bothers me, and clone/"other" Spider powers stories aren't very new.

TV deaths that pissed you off or upset you

Toni Marchette in 90210. Poor Dylan, he had finally found happiness with Rebecca Gayheart. It was that stupid kitten's fault, really. -
Howard just crushed one into the wind, 3-0 Phils and Lieber looks sharp.
-
another well-pitched Jon Lieber game tonight would be a good thing. Hope the big three stay hot...five in a row? And I want to see a big Myers 8th inning lockdown.

An accidental title win?

I can't wait to watch a very special edition of Sportscenter: "NY Yankees: Last Place".
-
At the College Night on the 2nd day of the year against the Atlanta Braves, it was Dollar Dog Night. I was in the 200 level, and above me there were tons of things being thrown into the outfield, and a NY Giants fan who wore an Eli Manning jersey was absolutely brutally beaten up by a group of college kids. Why would you wear such a jersey to Philly if not to look for trouble? The hot dog/pretzel/beer throwing began after Gordon blew the lead in the 9th and they had to keep stopping to clean the field.

If A-Rod saw you calling him "Alexander" in public repeatedly to gain attention on yourself he'd probably kick you in the stomach. Plus A-Rod isn't a winner. At any rate, glad to see Phillie's big three JRol, Chase, and Howard starting to all play well at the same time. The bottom of the lineup may be garbage but the good players are really, really good when they're on. So hope it keeps up. Three in a Row! Whoa! "Congratulations, Philly, you have the worst fans in baseball (excluding present company, of course)." Philadelphia is so tame compared to incidents in the 90's and 70's. Please. For all we know, it was an Astros fan throwing hot dogs at the Astros outfielder for his team sucking ass. Wow, a few weiners get thrown around, INDICT THE CITY! Chill, bro.

The OaO Raw SPOILER-FREE thread.
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to TheFranchise's topic in The WWE Folder
If Raw was actually a good show, then less people would read the spoilers to "see if it was worth watching", thus you'd see these threads packed when they tape overseas. Since Raw has sucked since 2001, you get 7 pages and like it. -
With the former Assassin Jody Hamilton booking DSW, including telling Meltzer tonight that MIKE KNOX and his partner there are, and I quote, "THE BEST TAG TEAM IN WRESTLING TODAY" (!!!), no wonder they failed. The Assassin running a wrestling program? WWE was wise to axe them.

I just watched the WWE Tag Title Change and absolutely loved it. Londrick being The Rockers to Deuce & Domino's Power & Glory at SSlam 1990 was sweet. D & D have a ton of energy and although haven't really established their individual identites, and may fall victim to being lumped in with teams like the Bashams or DOA because of their similar looks, there's one noticeable difference (besides their hair)...Deuce & Domnino are full of energy, hit fun double-teams, and awesome strikes. Please give them 15 minutes with Londrick at Judgment Day, since Backlash is a RAW PPV with 1-3 ECW/SD! matches. So yeah, I don't like the see the title streak ended, but since they deemed it necessary, it might well have been D & D. Oh yeah... CRACK 'EM IN DA MOUTH!
-
Just wanted to say that I'm psyched the Phils won two in a row (COLE BABY) and Yanks/Sox tonight was awesome.
-
I hate to keep the Phillies talk at "Bitch, bitch, bitch!" because I remember Anglesault and his ramblings (although he was dramatically negative for a pretty GOOD team) but seriously...what else can you say about this season? How did they lose this game?!?! 1 hitter with two outs in the 9th!!!
-
Like he wasn't gonna blow it.
-
Tom Gordon's latest blown save caused me to smash a bottle of something I was going to drink tonight. God he sucks.

The Phillies 3rd base coach just stopped Pat Burrell from rounding third on a bloop shot that fell, which the 3rd base coach should have been watching. So Burrell stays at 3rd, and useless Abraham Nunez hits into a double play, ending the inning. That's three runs I've counted that the 3rd base coach has cost the Phillies this year. The previous two came in games the Phils lost by *1 run*. Charlie Manuel put the 3rd base coach there. Thus, Charlie is to blame for at least 2 losses this year, and possibly now a third if the Reds win by 1. Lieber looks sharp into the 4th, 1 hit.
-
You know, I'm gonna pull for Jon Lieber to throw a good game tonight. I like that he was fired up when they put him in the bullpen, and he seems to really wanna win, so good for him. I like the words, but an 11.75 ERA makes me think it might just be talk. Phils really need to win 2/3 from the Reds at worst. Maybe Myers can come in and steal a win, too.

Orton blowing his chance for the 3rd or 4th time is an awesome 4:20 present. He can eat an FU at Backlash and be gone. HEY HEY NOTHING YOU CAN SAY SAY. "they behaved exactly how you would expect each of them to behave: Batista was calm and cool, Orton was acting like he'd never seen a pair of tits before." That's an awesome visual, though. "Oh my God! Dave! Did you see those?" "Yeah, bro."

"Okay smart guy, how many wins is a good manager worth? Cite some examples of where good managerial prowess makes a decisive shift in a team's performance over the couse of the season." You'd have to go as far back as, I dunno, LAST YEAR, MARLINS. At one point last year I had a list of Manuel's dumbfuck decisions and how many games it cost the Phillies, I believe it was around 9. Those are just the ones that I counted.
