"Can you think of any other decorated superstar that went through similar situations, where his opponents left the company shortly after many, if not all, of his multiple championship victories?" Shawn Michaels IC Title win over British Bulldog - Bulldog left 2 weeks later IC Title win over Jeff Jarrett - Jarrett was gone a week fews after World Title win over Bret Hart - Bret leaves for 7-8 months immediately

Care to elaborate on which game you're referring to?

This bald Jeff Garcia kid is awesome.

You spelled "Legalize" wrong. At least the American version. The one that matters.

"Just a shame it made zero dollars and did nothing for either man." Sure sold a lot of "WHAT?" t-shirts... And what were the fans chanting Monday during Cena's bad promo... WHAT? -

Man, you stupid fuckers stay on target about as well as fat Porkins from Star Wars. Can't one thread go without you sucking Leena's E-Dick? -

By the way: On the June 10th, 1996 Nitro, they were showing a recap video for the Sullivan/Benoit feud heading into the Great American Bash. They aired Sullivan/Pillman from SuperBrawl VI, the end of it, complete with the "I RESPECT YOU, BOOKERMAN!" line. Wonder why they kept that in? -

Scott was indeed back, and teaming with Rick to face WCW World Champion Lex Luger (Rick was Luger's #1 contender for two months) and Mr. Hughes. They dominated Luger & Hughes, but Rick never could beat Lex, except for an inpromptu challenge on WCW Worldwide in which he pinned the champion. The answer: Michaels Hayes & Jimmy Garvin - The Fabulous Freebirds The finish saw Hayes accidently hit his trademark left punch on Eaton, then the York Foundation score a roll-up to retain the title. After the match, Hayes apologized to Eaton, who delivered his OWN trademark left hand (Hayes and Eaton had the left punch gimmick) to both Hayes and Garvin and left them laying! -

"He's just a classic..." Stop. Dec. 9th show looks AWESOME. If the six-man hits then that's a definate must-see. -
I missed Raw and downloaded it. BTW, Smackdown/Raw/Impact are seemingly each 10x better without commercials. I hardly ever watch live now and recommend waiting a few hours. Thoughts: Opening 15-minute promo: BAD: God, Cena and Melina are AWFUL on the microphone, with Cena being terribly corny/stale/boring and Melina being ultra-generic and fake. Boring segment. Coach is a horrible authority figure. Masters gets to be squashed again. GOOD: I like Victoria as the "head bitch" heel of the Women's Division. GOOD: Kenny as X-Pac to Edge & Orton's Outsiders could work! BAD: Cryme Tyme nursing home segment was pretty lame. Shelton's angle afterwards made sense. BAD: 2 minutes for Crazy/Shelton? Horrible. HOLY SHIT WORLD'S GREATEST TAG TEAM TOGETHER AGAIN, FINALLY. DECENT: Masterlock Challenge. It was clear that Cena broke it but JR claims "Masters releases his Masterlock...". Masters jobs to a full nelson. Wow. Subsequent brawl with Umaga and Cena was nice. HAHA: Viscera calls Torrie "Cory...(corrects himself) Torrie...". Then demands "SOMEONE GIVE ME A TOWEL, MAN!" and instantly a hand gives him a towel. Damn. EH: Carlito/Viscera match. Torrie looked gorgeous. Awesome (the end of it): Two skanky plants doing HLA with Val Venis, who is shockingly still alive. Eugene wants a kiss! HEEL EUGENE IS AWESOME. It's the fans fault. When Eugene was "cool" and made people laugh, Cristy Hemme was making out with him, everyone loved him, etc. Now he's a "tired" act, so he's flipping out. "WHY DONT YOU TREAT ME SPECIAL ANYMORE?!?!?! I AM SPECIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Grabbing girls forcefully and snapping!! 8-man wasn't gonna be 2004 or 2000 Raw multi-tag hot, but it was decent. WRESTLEMANIA 23 MATCH Rated RKO Vs. D-X SAVE IT for then!

Pillman & Zenk only teamed in 1992 when WCW was trying to play up their friendshp and former run as WCW U.S. Tag Champs as they rolled into the WrestleWar '92 PPV where Pillman defended the Light Heavyweight Title against Zenk. -

Nope, Pillman was working singles bouts primarily as the new (and first) WCW World Light Heavyweight Champion and Zenk was a lower mid-carder who occassionally teamed/help rookie Marcus Alexander Bagwell against random jobbers at this time. -

Nope, the Patriots were engaged in a classic feud with The Young Pistols for the WCW U.S. Tag belts at that time. No joke, I was a Pistols mark. The "Loser Leaves WCW for 60 days" match they had on WCW Main Event with The Patriots had me marking out like it was Rock/Hogan. -
"Helms defended the title, ironically against Jimmy Wang Yang, the week before Survivor Series I think." That was a NON-title match there.

WWE.com reports Vince McMahon "sent Paul Heyman home" before the Raw/ECW tapings, citing slumping ECW TV ratings, a pissed off locker room, and poor D2R results, along with "Heyman being depressed at the D2R" results as the reason. It's kayfabe, but they actually blame the shitty ECW ratings on Heyman. Hilarious.

I was just kiddin', obviously. Let's get back on track here! WCW TRIVIA, Late '91 What babyfaces did "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton, who turned heel the week before to join the Dangerous Alliance, reluctantly team with to face The York Foundation on WCW Main Event for the Six-Man Tag Belts? They explained it as "Eaton signed to team with them before alligning with Dangerously (and becoming a bad-guy)." I'm guessing they taped it before Eaton's heel turn. He wrestles as a face...but decks both of his partners after they lose. Hint: It was a regular team... -
Eh, I found that funny. 31,000 here.

I want to see JR "encourage you ECW fans to check out the replay, tomorrow night!" on Raw.
-
Well considering "new ECW" has lost the entire OLD audience...and 50% of the NEW Sci Fi audience already, and just charged $40 a show that is eons below free TV Smackdown (and has less in-ring action!), I would imagine Vince is clsoe to his goal of burying another company for good.
-
HA. THE SHOW JUST ENDS.
-
Lashley: World Champion. R.I.P. ECW. This was like the AWA Turkey matches. Death. Knell.
-
Show retaining the title would be awesome.

"This is TWO straight PPV's they booked horribly" Relax, you're going a but overboard lately with the smarky "I know it all, I think I'm in the business" jargon. This thread especially.

Spear. Bye Test.

This is just hilarious. The crowd should throw feces at the ring because any person who pays to see "ECW" is a fucking trained monkey.
