Logically (not that this show has EVER had any logic): Why would Heyman book RVD in HIS ELEMENT, in a ladder match with a contract hanging over it, against a FAT GUY WHO CAN'T CLIMB? It's not like RVD has already won one ladder match this year with a title contract hanging above it and subsequently won the belt. -

That was great, except for the terrible interview girl who can't read well. -

Punk's second squash of Credible was quite effective and fun to watch, other than that, I'd hold judgment. I've seen him work 30 minute+ matches live and he's a great worker. He's limited to these 3-5 minute TV bouts. -

CZW Presents "Last Team Standing" on October 14th
UseTheSledgehammerUh posted a topic in General Wrestling
From CZW: Quite a bit of news to bring to you as we prepare for the October 14th CZW Event at the New Alhambra Arena. We will bring you constant updates on CZWrestling.com to keep you up-to-date on all the breaking stories, match developments, and news concerning our huge show. We will also be attempting to answer any concerns or questions about upcoming events, injuries, and other issues pertaining to the product. The October 14th event is named “Last Team Standing” and, along with several other great bouts, will showcase an Eight Team Single-Elimination Tournament for the vacant CZW World Tag Team Titles. Combat Zone Wrestling Promoter/Comissioner Hon. Maven T. Bentley, Esq. stripped the BLKOUT of the titles on September 9th due to the original championship team no-longer being fully affiliated with the company. Obviously, this pissed off Eddie Kingston, Ruckus, new BLKOUT member Ricky Reyes, and “Primo” Robbie Mireno, who was overseas in Italy at the time. We can tell you that BLKOUT will get their chance to take what they claim was stolen from them on October 14th. Announced Teams Participating in the Tournament: - CHIKARA Campeones de Parejas “The Kings of Wrestling” – Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli - BLKOUT – Who have withheld the team members names at this time - TEAM AnDREW – Drew Gulak & “The Future of Sambo” Andy Sumner - Cheech & “The One Hit Wonder” Cloudy - THE NJ ALL-STARS – J.C. Ryder & Lucky - THE H8 CLUB – “The Future of Hardcore” Nick Gage & “The Ultraviolent All-Star” Justice Pain That would leave 2 spots remaining. There are a lot of rumors regarding these spots. I can tell you that the BLKOUT have threatened certain legal actions against the company due to the tournament even taking place in the first place. Because of this, BLKOUT may very well be allowed to enter a second team into the tournament. As seen on CZWrestling.com, Ruckus will be announcing the brand new member of BLKOUT on October 14th. Who could this be? Will he be on the 2nd team? What combination of BLKOUT will be entered? Check CZWrestling.com as we lead into our HUGE October 14th show for more details. As for that 8th spot? Nothing is set in stone, but the promoter is working dilligently to try to bring back a very popular duo back, by offering them a chance to become the CZW World Tag Team Champions at "Last Team Standing". Hopefully, they can be signed to compete at this event. How popular are they? Let's just say that, IF they can be signed for the 14th, there's sure to be a full crowd of "Little Masturbators" cheering them on to the gold. ______________________ Check back online throughout the weeks, as we'll have full updates on: * A breaking story about the mental state of "The Future of Hardcore" Nick Gage, and an attempted explanation for his strange behavior over the past 3 months. * A story on brand-new CZW World Jr. Heavyweight Champion Jigsaw and his hard-work to get to the title! * Speaking of Jigsaw...apparently there are several faces in CZW who want his title...that have NOT been included in the Jr. Heavyweight Division and are pissed off about it! * The Necro Butcher's status for October 14th...will he be there? Will he not? Alright, the crazy bastard WILL BE THERE. But in what capacity? Who's he after? * CZW Iron Man Champion LuFisto! What's next for her? * Updates on the injuries to Ruckus, Chris Hero, and Pandora at "eXpect the uneXpected". * Mana and DJ Hyde nearly broke each other's skulls last week. Rumor has it Mana is coming back for more... * The return of Drake Younger! All this coming soon. Check out CZWrestling.com for more information, as we roll into an exciting October month with two great shows. -

Dear God, last night, watching a Nitro from July of 1996, I saw the WORST SEGMENT EVER. Forget Shockmaster. Forget the Dungeon. Hell, forget Russo. This took the cake. You might remember the angle but not the match. The Outsiders, Hall & Nash, made history and broke into the WCW control truck, forcing them to pan the crowd, turn the lights off, etc. Very cool at the time and unique. The match itself was The Dungeon of Doom - The Barbarian, Kevin Sullivan, Hugh Morrus, and making his Nitro debut - THE LEPRECHAUN (he bit people and ran around the outside of the ring). Was the Leprechaun who I am speaking of? Not at all, as he would appear ORDINARY when compared with what happened just before his debut. Of course it was The Dungeon... Against... Joe Gomez, The Renegade, Alex Wright, and Jim Powers. Tony hypes an 8-man tag up NEXT, with The Dungeon of Doom in action. "Let's take a special video look at their opponents!" A special video look? What followed was the worst 1 minute in WCW history. It's Gomez, Renegade, Wright, and Powers walking on the beach together, in tight, skimpy little shorts and muscle shirts. One by one, after high-fiving each other, donning sunglasses, and flexing, each man removes his shirt, flexes, and walks with a PURPOSE on the beach. Seriously, there's cheesy music to "excite" the viewer and all. Then, after they're all disrobed and in their little shorts, the 4 guys walk together, in a line, on the beach, making serious faces and flexing. Think an all-male episode of Baywatch filmed by Uwe Bowell or however it is spelled. Powers, being his usual jobber self the whole match, takes a fall to the outside. Where Teddy Long suddenly appears, either to "coach" Powers or to hit on him after seeing that sexy, sexy man video. Powers listens to whatever Long says, then goes in the ring AND HULKS UP, no-selling the Dungeon's offense and KICKING THEIR ASSES. 2 seconds later, The Giant interrupts and chokeslams all 4 "babes" into oblivion and then accepts Hogan's challenge for Hog Wild. -
