    NFL Week 7

The Colts seem to be the Ric Flair of football lately, having close games with the dregs of the league and winning at the end. I think the Colts will win this one by 10. They've just got to beat the Skins. But Washington has stood up to them, and got some special teams points. Long as the Colts can start playing some D their offense should be ok.

    NFL Week 7

In case you're wondering if the Buccaneers are "turning a corner", they're not. The Buccaneers looked like shit today, and the Eagles looked like an even worse shit by a big fat guy. Eagles Stupidity: - McNabb vomiting all over the field today, wasting a CRITICAL timeout that they could have used during that last drive... - Jerome McDumbass's facemask on a sack and then KICKING THE FLAG, causing a 30 yard penalty... - End of the first half - With no timeouts and 8 seconds, on the opponent's 7...throwing the ball to the THREE YARD LINE against three defenders. Clock runs out, no score, no field goal, nothin'. - Craptastic tackling on the Bucs' kick return with 30 seconds left in the game. - Dropped pass after dropped pass. - McNabb's throwing TD passes...to Eagles Killer Ronde Barber. Seriously, it was like Rich Kotite or Buddy Ryan came out and coached a game for old times sake. Worst coached game, IMO, of Reid's tenure in Philly, and certainly McNabb's worst performance in years. Watch NFL Primetime. You'll see two INT returns and a big FG for Tampa. And a bunch of mistakes by Philly. And some puke.

Un F'N Believable I hate the South teams. And now one of the Dallas/Giants dipshit teams will take over first. McNabb needs to rebound big-time against the dying Jags next week or this season is likely over. Especially against that 2nd half schedule after the bye.

The Eagles playcalling, overall offense, and quarterback all look HORRIBLE today. Shades of 2003 w/ Barber's INT.

Ray Rice broke a huge run then just scored on a 3-4 yrd TD. Rutgers 20, Pitt 10.

This Week in College Football 10/18 - 10/22

Pitts gets to within 3, 4th quarter, trails Rutgers 13-10 with 13:23 left. Go Rutgers! Just so I have somewhere to go tonight since my school has Fall Break, its 15 degrees out, and Rutgers should be celebrating a HUGE nationall televised win if they can do it. Defense has been great in this one. RU led Pitt 6-3 at halftime. Palko just threw a broken play strike to the back of the endzone to get it within 3. My two favorite teams of the past couple years have been Oregon and Rutgers. Because a good friend goes to Oregon for grad school and Rutgers is the local favorite, even though they've been really bad. So good for them. OU is mailing it in after the Cal game, it seems.

Indy Shows in the Pennsylvania/New Jersey Area

CZW Cage of Death is the biggest indy show in the area but is after Dec. 3rd, so might not fit your schedule. ROH and CZW have a Philly show in November. PWU has a Philly show in November.

    The Comic Book Question Thread

Tiffany HATES Angela, as she is the #2 slayer to Angela's #1, and feels she has betrayed heaven. However, Spawn killed Tiffany in her two book appearences by melting her down to her bones. If she came back after that, I dunno, but Angela herself got killed by Malebolgia. So I don't think so.

    Cpl Kirchner Passes away

Thomas Spear was a professional wrestler. Early in his career he was known as Corporal Kirchner and is known in North America for his brief feud with Nikolai Volkoff in the WWF in 1986. He was considered one of the toughest men in the WWF at the time and his career suffered because many wrestlers were afraid to to work with him. He was terminated by the WWF and allegedly assaulted Vince McMahon in the process. He then made a successful wrestling career for himself in Japan. He sought out a wrestling career in Japan, using the Super Leather and Leatherface gimmicks. His career in Japan was as the masked Leatherface, utilising the mask and character of the villain of the movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He originally wrestled for Atsushi Onita's FMW promotion and was considered by many to be the toughest hardcore wrestler in FMW. He was put into jail for six months following an attempted assault by a fan, which left the fan with severe facial injuries. During his brief time in jail, the Leatherface character which Kirschner created was given to another wrestler, Rick Patterson, who eventually left FMW and went to IWA. During his stint in IWA, Kirschner was released from prison, and during a subsequent Leatherface (Patterson) match in IWA, the original Leatherface (Kirschner) appeared in the crowd. This set up the team of the Leatherfaces, which lasted only one match and was intended as a transition of the character away from Patterson. The match was a Bed of Nails match (and was part of the 1995 King of the Deathmatch tournament in Japan) against two popular wrestlers, Shoji Nakamaki and Hiroshi Ono. In a match that would become legendary among hardcore wrestling fans, Kirschner ripped off a piece of the bed of nails and placed it on Ono's throat, before performing a leg-drop. He then powerbombed Ono onto the bed of nails. Kirschner afterward left the promotion. After his departure, the promotion claimed that he was fired in an attempt to salvage Ono's destroyed reputation. In 2005, ECWA Super 8 Tournament Finalist Andrew Ryker said Kirschner was his inspiration for getting into the wrestling business. Kirschner died on Sunday, October 15 2006 of natural causes at his home in White Marsh, Maryland. He is survived by his two sons, daughter and step-daughter, as well as two grandchildren.

On the eve of Kurt's TNA debut.....

Kurt Angle's 5 Best Matches 1. Benoit/Angle Rumble 03 2. Benoit/Austin SummerSlam 01 3. 40-Minute Fatal Fourway #1 Contender's Match on Smackdown! before Armageddon 2002 4. No Mercy 02 - Tag Titles 5. Smackdown 2/3 Falls Late 2002 Tag Title Match re: Angle/Lesnar Seriously, Angle/Lesnar followed the MUCH better work Angle did with Eddie, Rey, Benoit, Edge, etc. in late 2002. If you watched late 2002 and then the Angle/Lesnar stuff, you'd think: "Lesnar/Angle, damn that was pretty good." But you'd be dissapointed that it wasn't as quick or suspenseful as the Smackdown Six stuff. They botched the WM finish, and the match result was a 100% foregone conclusion, anyway. SSlam's match was mediocre and suffered from Vince being involved. Smackdown free TV Ironman was very good, but not better than those 5.

    Raw Thread - October 16th, 2006

I'm not disputing the unprofessional actions of Steve-O. I'm just saying that Umaga had no right to do what he did, either. They're both at fault. WWE should've better prepped Steve-O and explained the nature of the business and importance of selling the move, not just getting hit with it. I also never said that Steve-O had talent. Just that he's much more popular and a bigger star than the WWE's entire active roster.

Raw / Smackdown Spoilers for 10/16 and 10/20

PWSpyware and Wrestling Observer reports seem to coincide and be legit. Dark Match: *WWE United States champion Chris Benoit defeated Sylvan with the Crippler Crossface. Monday Night Raw *Raw opens with Edge and Randy Orton coming to the ring dressed as DX (Edge as HHH, Orton as Michaels), cutting a promo on HHH and Shawn Michaels and on the fans for buying DX merchandise. This leads to DX hitting the ring. Orton challenges HHH to the main event of Raw. *Cryme Tyme debuted, defeating two members of the Spirit Squad using a TKO/neckbreaker combination. I do not believe it was a WWE Tag Team title bout. Spirit Squad began arguing and fighting amongst themselves after the match. *Jonathan Coachman was speaking to King Booker backstage when Cryme Tyme came into the scene. They got off a line by Booker where he told them he doesn't speak ebonics. *WWE Intercontinental champion Jeff Hardy won a Four Way over Shelton Benjamin, Chris Masters, and Super Crazy pinning Masters with the swanton. *Backstage, Vince McMahon approached King Booker and Big Show asking where John Cena was and teasing his big announcement. *Melina and Johnny Nitro promised they had a big celebrity and brought out Kevin Federline. That got the most heat of anything thus far on the show. John Cena came out and rapped about Federline, then knocked Nitro out of the ring. Big Show and Booker T both came out, which saw them go back and forth on the mic. Vince McMahon came out and announced at Cyber Sunday, the fans would have the ability to decide which of the titles would be on the line. Cena asked Federline which title he wants to see defended and ends up giving him the F-U, which got a huge reaction. *Rob Conway came out and complained about not being used. Carlito came out and squashed him. *They did a backstage vignette where Edge and Lita asked Vince McMahon about getting a title rematch, but McMahon responded that Edge & Orton would face DX, presumably at Cyber Sunday. *Steve O and another cast member from MTV's Jackass came to the ring and said they were willing to take on anyone. Umaga came out and destroyed them. It appeared live that Umaga may have been stiffing them because they weren't selling enough. *Maria won a Four Way Bra & Panties match against Torrie Wilson, Victoria, and Candice Michelle to advance in the WWE Women's championship tournament. *The Tournament Semi-Finals are Maria vs. Lita and Melina vs. Mickie James. * Triple H defeated Randy Orton Can't Beat Triple H after a chairshot and Pedigree. Orton appeared to injure his foot. ___________ Smackdown: *MVP came out and cut a promo about Kane, leading to Kane coming to the ring for an impromptu match. Kane defeated MVP via DQ after a lowblow. *Backstage, King Booker was taping up to wrestle. Booker vs. Batista is the main event tonight. *Elijah Burke defeated Vito after Sylvester Turkay interfered. *William Regal did a promo saying he wasn't going to be Smackdown's whipping boy anymore. *Regal and the debuting David Taylor then defeated Scotty Too Hotty & Funaki. *Chavo Guerrero defeated Rey Mysterio in a Loser Leaves Smackdown I Quit Match. Good match that saw them do dives off the rampway. Mysterio ended up hung upside down from the Titantron scaffolding and Guerrero was beating his leg with a chair. Rey kept trying to hang in and not give up but finally quit. *Backstage, Matt Hardy and Gregory Helms were arguing. Helms claimed that he could beat anyone. Teddy Long ordered him to wrestle Undertaker. *The Undertaker pinned Gregory Helms with a tombstone. *Next up is a Diva Danceoff. Miz was the host. Aaron and Nick Carter were the judges. Kristal Marshall won. This was said to have been the worst segment of the entire taping. Batista defeated WWE World champion King Booker by DQ. John Cena and Big Show were both at ringside scouting Booker. It ended up with Cena and Batista battling off Booker and Show. Teddy Long came out and said that he was going to try to sign a tag match for next week's Smackdown main event.

Umaga has NO RIGHT to stiff the "Jackass" stars, seeing as how they are BIGGER STARS THAN 99% of the WWE ROSTER and were PAID to PERFORM. Don't be so stupid.

It's a minor thing, but as much as I didn't think I'd like it, the new Raw theme song gives the show a fresh, fast-paced theme. Agree?
