I just read this on MLB.com GameDay Live: "With Rafael Furcal batting, Greg Maddux steals 2nd base."
-
Tom Gordon up to his usual tricks. 1 out runner on third...sigh. This game has a big Dan Uggla hit all over it. 2 outs. FLASH throws to first and keeps Reed in CHECK. Greg Maddux singles for the Dodgers. WHAT? VICTORINO RUNNING CATCH OF UGGLA'S LONG DRIVE AND THE PHILLIES WIN!

He's the worst manager in the NL. He should be punished.
-
Dodgers up 2-1 on Lugo's double. 2nd and 3rd one out, top 3. Not good. Edit: 3-1...
-
So I read. Marvel Knights storyline. Not to go off-topic, but could someone tell me if the story was any good? The ending with Norman Vs. Peter atop a bridge with MJ's life in the balance, and a brainwashed Doc Ock attacking Norman, helping the police, sounds a little convoluted. But SINISTER TWELVE? That's kinda neat. Except for, you know, Boomerang.

Dodgers up 1-0 bottom 1st now. Lugo sac fly. This Phillies game has been really boring. BTW, earlier in the game, Lieberthal was taken out and will likely never be seen in a Phillies uniform (playing) again. Ironic, his last game he gets hurt. Edit: Giants tie it on a grounder.

The "Jack O'Lantern" character that is being used with the other villains to track Cap's team down...is a girl. Did not know that. And Venom is The Scorpion? Ok.

Perhaps it was being developed in '92 then (SuperBrawl), which led to the Nintendo dealie, because the SuperBralw game featured The Steiner Brothers, huge babyfaces who were gone by Oct. 92. -
Yeah, they must be SPACE PHANTOMS, Marvel's answer to Crab People. You know what would be cool? When Spidey goes to meet up with and join the anti-Registration side, they don't believe him and kick his ass.

No way, it took a billion weapon shots to beat him. AND he kept the title during their first bout. -
PAT BURRELL THROWS OUT CHURCH AT THE PLATE AND THE CROWD GOES NUTS!!!!!!!!!
-
Which is a ripoff of the Yankees chant for Jorge Posada which sounds much better.
-
J-Roll comes through, 2 out single for JIM-MEE ROLLINS and THIS BALLGAME IS TIED. J-Roll, J-Roll J-Roll, J-Roll! J-Roll! J-Roll!
-
Based on the payroll and talent, I'd say it's a mild dissapointment, because their awful bullpen, lack of consistent starting pitching, and 2nd worst manager in baseball take precedent. "J-Roll, J-Roll, J-Roll, J-Roll!" chant in the style of "Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole!" loudly at the DC ballpark. Awesome. Now "Let's Go Phillies!"

"That MTV promotion has ZERO chance of being seen again." Really? Since they're taping in a little over a month for their upcoming season, on November 11th, maybe you should do your research.

Updated as of Sept. 26th's ECW. Departures for: Kash, Credible, Boogeyman. -
No, I'd prefer they show Phillies highlights from this season. Comcast is awful. OOOH, now a tribute to Orel Herschiser!

You're wrong, WCW had "WCW SuperBrawl" for the Super Nintendo at this time. -
Meltzer reported Credible was about to be released, and then reported he was faxed his release by Johnny Ace today.

Dear Comcast: When the Phillies are 1.5 behind the Dodgers with 4 to play, and they have a rain delay, please do not show a 20-minute feature on the 1987 Los Angeles Dodgers.

Yeah, Iron Man goes on a Nazi rant in the Negative Zone and tells Peter he's sending him away to take care of stuff, but "as long as MJ and May are with ME, they'll be safe", pretty much saying "Screw you, I know you're gonna turn, go ahead and do it and you'll never see them again" without actually saying it. So Spidey secretly wakes up MJ & May and tries to escape IM's HQ, but he spears him through a wall at the end, and the fight will continue into the next issue. I know I shit on Civil War after #4, but Cable/Deadpool was so far, my favorite Civil War issue, because it was INTELLIGENT and went right to the root of the problem of superhero police, and this week's ASM was really great too, as we got to see Reed's real reason for joining IM.

Phils/Nats rain delay, but Harry Kalas invites us to watch "HALLS OF FAME" featuring Ryne Sandberg, which Kalas called "Holes of Fame".

Credible just got fired, too.

PLAYERGATE CONTINUES on ESPN SPORTSCENTER God forbid they show something cool, like the two 7-run innings in one baseball game.
-
Is there a storm in the NE? I'm in the middle of NY/WAS and it's pretty nice out. After the bullpen massacre of last night, a 2-0 quick win in 6 innings would be nice.
