Civil War #4, and the entire storyline, sure blows. Seriously: CLONES! CLONES??!?!?!? WHAT??! A "Civil War" needs tons of deaths, not one. Where was Hank Pym at the hero who died's funeral? I think this obviously ends with some type of neutral evil spy unleashing Reed & Tony's "NEW SUPER HUMANS" they created, and the heroes working together to stop them. "It's not WHO you are, it's WHO you fight for!" and everyone makes up. ____ "I was really hoping they'd keep it hero vs. hero" I'm pretty much a Marvel Zombie, except for a few DC books. But Marvel Hero Vs. Marvel Hero sucks. Especially since most of Marvel's heroes, save Spider-Man, the X-Men, The Thing, and maybe a few others, don't appeal to everyone. Captain America. Iron Man, the numerous "giant growing characters", Wasp, Cloak, Dagger, etc., really have no connection to the audience. They're old and boring. DC has actually kept its heroes fresh. Check out "Identity Crisis" for how you do this. So I can see why the whole "HERO VS. HERO!" thing is given a break in Issue #5. Plus, Jack O' Lantern is going to pumpkin bomb Captain America into the ground. And Bullseye Vs. Daredevil. And, and, and I wanna see Venom Vs. uh...Hercules! Just so Hercules can die somehow.

Mickey wins. And damn, JBL started out ON FIRE as a commentator, but I can tell he wasn't feeling the product lately. He gave less effort and repeated the same jokes as if they were knew. Oh well. That sucks.

No, the art in Wolverine is the worst art I have ever seen since that issue of Uncanny X-Men abord the airplace (like...352ish) with some 10-12 different fill-in artists at once. And after Wolvie went skeletal and just walked around afterwards, I gave up. I also quit reading Wolverine: Origins, because it deals with shitty villains like Nuke & Omega Red and it tries too hard to appear edgy. ___ It's also bullshit how in Civil War: X-Men, a former X-team member gets "killed" by another former X-team member, because: A) It starts off good, with one yelling to the other, "YOU MURDERER!!!" B) Minutes later, they're all "We have to help him live!" (the "dead" person) C) They picked the lamest mutant out of the lamest team to off. -
My pet peeve is Wendy's: Me: "Yes, I'd like the chicken strips." :::they don't give you a fucking second to say which sauce YOU want::: Homeless Employee: "Okay, barbeque sauce." Me: "Uh, no. Deli Honey Mustard." Then I pull up, and instead of the Deli Honey Mustard (comes w/ strips, big pack) they try to sneak in those regular sized shitty Wendy's honey mustards. Apparently, my local Wendy's hates me. For about a week in late 2004, I was hookin' up with this girl, who a week later decided she couldn't stand me, and I decided I couldn't stand her. Anyways, one time on the way home from a concert that week, we drove to Wendy's, really starved. So when we pull up, the "studly Mexican manager" at the window is all flirty and gives me the fucking EVIL EYE OF ALL EVIL EYES. He totally recognizes my voice on the intercom. And he fucks with my order all the time, then acts like I'm the asshole when I request in to be fixed. Last month I quit fast food, altogether. Seriously, no normal person can eat that shit. Just stop. I ate it religiously, and finalyl realized how shitty it is. So I pulled up to Wendy's one last time at like 1:50 AM, right before the dick manager always closes his shift. I ordered like $42 in food, a bunch of value meals, and even pretended to be "trying to listen to my friends in the car" order to not tip him off. Anyways, I pulled up to the window and exclaimed, like Eric Cartman, "Oh nooooo...I must have left my wallet at home!" It was now like 2 AM, so I told him I'd see him around, and thanks for his efforts, anyway.

Just got Astonishing X-Men #17. Everything ties together pretty nicely, i.e. what the Hellfire Club's goal is, how White Queen uses mind over matter to take out Kitty and use her to their advantage, the Danger/Space Station Escape stuff comes to the mansion, and there's a pretty damn cool ending, too. Wolverine delivers one of the most classic lines ever in AXM. Also grabbed: Ghost Rider #3 X-Factor #11 Good issue, as always, things are gonna hit the fan with the conclusion in #12 and the awesome therapy tribute issue in #13. Civil War #4 FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT! Someone gets killed. And the last page...good lord. Civil War: X-Men #3 -
Jamie Moyer gets a small yet deserved ovation for an excellent pitching job tonight, 1 run in 7 IP. What a great pickup.

Super Duper Major Announcement at No Surrender

Earth to IWC, it's not 1998, the only year Goldberg was a draw. -
Phils up 3-0 bottom 5, due to some sloppy 2-out play/pitching by the Cubs.

March 6, 1994 TV Taping at ECW Arena: - Public Enemy over ECW Tag Champs Tasmaniac and Kevin Sullivan to win the titles. - Tasmaniac pinned ECW TV Champ Sabu to win the title. - J.T. Smith pinned ECW TV Champ Tasmaniac to win the title. ____ Has any wrestler ever been involved in three legit title changes in one day for a company? Not counting the bogus WWF Hardcore Title, which was a comedy belt.

Super Duper Major Announcement at No Surrender
UseTheSledgehammerUh replied to a topic in TNA Wrestling
I just wanted to say: This "announcement" is not going to generate any significant buyrates for a PPV. Stupid. Should be advertising this for a big blowaway "Clash"-type episode of Impact! to show Spike they can get our of their shitty ratings slump also hype some new fans for the big Detroit PPV. Signing any of these "huge names" would be horrible, as they'd be losing even more money, and they already have great difficulty booking their current "big names" like Sting, Joe, and Christian in matches & angles that the fans WANT TO SEE. I don't get it. I want to like TNA so much as an alternative but it's eons worse than WCW was in 2001, and reeks of the dying days of the company. -
Trevor Murdoch is Terry Gordy's moveset to a tee.

Candace is a face now, Hawk. She didn't need the ropes.

I laughed at the poem.

"Orton onto the main event program with DX" More garbage.
-
Bobby Lashley might as well wear bright pink tights and have a puppy with a bow on its head in his TitanTron after cutting that hideous promo.
-
The booking of that match was ass, and it had to real flow, but I'm a mark for "FINISHERS GALORE!", Jeff hit one of his best looking Swantons ever, and Nitro retaining rocks.
-
My brain says Hardy is getting the belt.
-
Wow, this Raw has been good. Two awesome mains coming.
-
Putting the worst talkers in the ring all at one time, I love it.

Orton - From main events to bragging about beating Joblito. Wow.

Candice Michelle is working Lita. Dear Lord.

This match, along with the earlier Umaga/Kane match, did not suck at all.

Lillian Garcia is a moron once again.
