The Home Run Parade Continues! Phils score 6 (including a grand slam) to get it to 8-6 going into the 5th. Howard stuck out on 3 swings to end the inning, admist chants of "MVP!" at a supercharged stadium. Cubs get a solo jack, it's now 9-6 Cubs top 5 w/ 2 outs.
-
Leiber gives up another HR (4-0), a double, then a double (5-0) and an error on Nunez gets the runner to 3rd. No outs.
-
This "Sean Marshall" character has awful numbers and I don't see him making it past the 6th, given his not too fastball being his best pitch in a hitter's park.
-
Cubs go up 3-0 in 1st inning because Leiber has decided he can't field or pitch tonight. Hope he settles down and they get some offense. Rollins gets a line drive out and Victorino with a great diving catch!

- Equalizer (aka "Evad" Sullivan aka Dave Sullivan) over Van Hammer - Steroid Train over Steve Austin - Bulldog over Awesome Kong - Sid over Maxx Payne - Sid got replaced by Vader due to the incident with Arn and his firing. - Train over Equalizer - Vader over Bulldog by forfeit after Rude attacked Bulldog - Vader over Train _______ The entrants in this were absurd. Hammer, who was in the total doghouse as a jobber by this point was included because he won the 1992 tournament. Ice Train was winning openers and somehow got a big shot against Vader. Awesome Kong? Good God. -

You'd assume right, Vader won, avenging his loss to Van Hammer in the 1992 version. Vader defeated Ice Train in the finals. Rude attacked Bulldog during the semi-final w/ Vader, which gave Vader the win and was to have setup Rick Rude Vs. British Bulldog for the WCW International World Title at Starrcade, but Smith was fired/suspended and the match was changed. -

Honestly, considering what WWE 2000-01 was doing, it's not a good roster at all. There's some very good athletic talent on there, but they weren't particularly over and clearly weren't draws. -

LMAO, "Heyman blocked it". -
While we are awaiting tonight's Raw... Check this out and see if one of the internet's true pioneers correctly called Unforgiven. Maybe we'll get some clues about what to expect on Raw. How no one found this baffles me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO1B5_vPE9Q

Newsflash: Edge is still on Raw. We'll probably get a Carlito/Edge program, which would be neat. -
Expect HHH and HBK to kidnap Aurora Rose tomorrow and put her in "funny" places to annoy the McMahons.

All I can even remember about Shelton Benjamin being IC champ: - Shelton gets title from Jericho, is kinda over. - A fun match on Raw against Jericho and Christian in a 3-way. - Heatless matches with Christian, making Christian look weak just as he was beginning to get more heat as a heel single that he lost when he got hurt in May 04. - Lost in the shuffle early 05 and poorly booked. - Everyone thought Snitsky was gonna get the title around WM time. - Shelton gets kicked in the face springboarding at Shawn Michaels in a spot they have yet to perfectly repeat. - Pointless loss to Carlito on Carlito's first Raw. -

Here's one I bet ya can't answer: During the steel cage match at Slamboree '93 between Los Dos Hombres and The Hollywood Blondes, two older (50 year old) Italian men in suits are seen in the crowd "taking notes" about the match, as pointed about by anouncer Tony Schiavone. What angle was this? Also from Slamboree '93: Rick Rude pins Sasaki with the "Rude Awakening" in the tag team match. However, Sasaki totally no-sells it, making several kickout attempts at 1, 2, and 3. Has to be seen to believed. The ref still counts. THEN, Sasaki pops right back up to his feet after the 3 is counted. Ridiculous. -

You know what? Unforgiven sucked. Trish/Lita was OK, with good booking. Nowhere near as good as the WM 19 3-way, which is IMO the best Women's Match in quite some time. Great heat for it. Wrestling was kinda good. Don't overrated great booking and emotionial importance as a great match. A lot of people will LIKE this match, but that doesn't mean it will impress them. I am SICK of how SummerSlam is getting buried to have a big blow-off at Unforgiven each year now. Seriously. 2003 - Goldberg's big win gets cheaped and it happens at Unforgiven, not SummerSlam, the show where he was mega-over. 2004 - The World Title resets to Triple H at Unforgiven, basically wiping two great Benoit/Orton matches from history and ruining Orton's career in the process with the booking. 2005 - SummerSlam booking sees a one-shot from Hogan that is pretty much wiped away the next day on Raw. Although Cena/Angle is not as good as SummerSlam's Cena/Jericho, Angle is presented as much more of a threat and the Unforgiven match is treated with more importance than the the 'Slam main. 2006 - Cena goes over at Unforgiven, not SummerSlam, in the wrong hometown in an oddly booked PPV. -

Wake his ass up! -
Unbelieavle. Eagles took a nap for the second half, and looked terrible defensively in OT. Unbelievable.
-
Thank God the Giants look awful today, because Philly's offense just took the 2nd half of the game off, the opposite of last week's effort.
-
It's Week 2, I remember when St. Louis started off the year 4-0 like a decade ago and finished 6-10. But the Bears' power as a "favorite" has a lot to do with their (lack of) opponents. The Bears have a great D and play the NFL's worst division. They'll win the division easily and be a high playoff seed.

Houston's pretty much mailed in this entire series, looking dead yesterday, throwing Lidge to the wolves, not being able to take a game the Phillies were giving to them in Game 1, and down today. Nice to have Houston not make it. Jerks broke my heart last year winning that WC on the first day. BTW, Howard hit #57.

"Had Fusient bought WCW, they would have basically had..." Rob Van Dam And they coulda had him keep us his work, not horribly book him from '02-forward, and not become X-Pac all over again. -

My HS was on this show a year after I graduated. It was the worst thing ever. Buncha gothy skater kids got detention for wearing skirts (think WWE "Raven" or Highlanders-gimmick) skirts to school. They were more "girly" big skirts though, for God's sake. So then like 4 of them protested, all wore skirts and got suspended. They started a rally and had all their friends wear skirts. It was the lamest thing ever and I couldn't believe my former school actually had such a horrible event (goth/punk kids were never plentiful the years before) and actually went along with letting it be filmed, stunt-double principle and all. They played "Broken Home: by Papa Roach and all other MTV EDGYYYY music during the show. OMG -
