Could anyone create this conspiracy and set it up in 8 months? No. Could someone plan it for years before getting power and bring it to fruition in their first 8 months? Yes. Bear in mind that the PNAC was signed on 9/10/2000 by Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz. Many of the objectives espoused by the PNAC have indeed been met due to the world changes caused directly by 9/11. Mike, with the system set in place right now, the Republicans are in full control of all elected parts of the federal government. Since 2001, the main public agenda for the US government has been to protect America from terror. To that end, the government has been able to enact laws like PATRIOTs I and II (among countless other state/federal laws) which have provided them a greater degree of freedom in their operations while also freeing them from public scrutiny (because we're defending freedom, dammit!). The 9/11 Commission raised more questions than answers, the closer sharing of information between departments is not happening, the Osama bogeyman is still out there somewhere, the government can raise the terror alert level (and national fear) solely at their own discretion without answering to anyone. We're at war in what appears to be an endless struggle against a limitless number of faceless 'enemies of freedom' at home and abroad. This is a formula for Republican dominance. Is it REALLY that hard to believe that the Islamic terrorist threat is real? That they really do want to kill us for numerous perverse ideological reasons, that they noticed our lack of response to smaller attacks in the past giving them the confidence to execute the large scale attack they wanted, and that in response the government has enacted laws to help better protect us from further attacks and that we are currently at war abroad to combat those forces who are actively seeking to plan out and excute more attacks with the further hope that democracy and stability in the region will wipe out the ideology that causes the threat? Does it HAVE to be some evil plan for oil/power/money/control whatever?! Slapnuts, you poor, deluded, confused SOB. I think we've proven that all of this is really the work of the Illuminati, the real secret controllers of George W. Bush and most of the civilized world. I mean, Jesus, haven't you read the DaVinci Code? It's ALL in there. Are you being serious? Is this supposed to be rhetorical? yeah but hes more entertaining them overall. man, I'am excitied about the return of Gangrel. he was actually one of my favorites back in the attitude era. one of the best entrance and theme song EVER!, had a wicked cool look and was a pretty decent wrestler. great move by the WWE. You're insane if you think Gangrel is more entertaining than Matt Hardy or James Gibson. I don't think he's more entertaining than those two, but he's a decent worker with an interesting gimmick, and I think he's a lot more suited for the midcard than most of the guys they've brought up from OVW, who are either still too green or are just plain boring workers saddled with shitty gimmicks. I THINK he was supposed to be stalking Victoria, but as usual with the undercard, the writers lost interest in the storyline about two weeks in. As for his loss to Tomko, I don't know that it was anything other than they had time to fill at Unforgiven, and needed someone to put Tomko over. But Tomko is one of the worst workers in the company so an extended squash against Stevie really, really didn't do anything for anyone.

I believe in an afterlife but I have a somewhat healthy fear of death. I'm not paralyzed by the thought of it, but frankly I'd rather go out as an old man rather than sooner. But if you're gonna get wasted by some sort of natural disaster like in Deep Impact or Armageddon or what have you, or if I were to come down with a terminal disease, what are you gonna do? I wouldn't kill myself. I'd try and take steps to live, if there was some way to survive or escape my plight. Failing that, I'd just rob and loot everything I could get my hands on. And probably just fuck anything that moves.

Speaking of the rape in this ep. The first time I say it I was creeped but, when I saw it on the repeat I couldn't laughing. I mean the way the woman said her lines was to funny. "Owww you're to powerful. Owww it's show big." Anyone else laugh at it? Naw, that scene was pretty fucked up. He's kind of midcard at this point, but Aceveda's definitely gone full heel.

I don't seem to remember me disagreeing with you. In fact, I quite emphatically DO agree with you. Even though I think I've seen you bust out the "old man in the sky" remark at one point. I don't think that creationism should be taught in public schools, for the reasons you stated. If private parochial schools want to teach it, and they make that fact known to students / prospective students, I wouldn't really have much of a problem with them doing so. As ostensibly Christian, though, I suppose I have sympathy for the creation folks. Though I view them as misguided, I can understand that they do what they do out of their faith, rather than simply cop a rather imperious or conceited attitude towards them.

That reminds me, I really need to pick up the DVD collection of Robotech. Anyone know where I can find that cheap?

And again: there's nothing which says that evolution and religion, specifically judeo-christian religion, can't exist in harmony. It's not like evolution destroys the one.
