Figured I'd start a thread. By the way, head over the PWTorch.com if you want to read a spoiler on what's going to happen in the Jarrett vs. Hardy match later tonight.
-
What's the one match you've watched again and again and again more than any other you can think of? For me, I think it's Steve Austin vs. Bret Hart at WM13...just one of my favorite matches ever.

Whoa. Val had a good IC title run as a heel with Trish. He had a decent feud with Rikishi with a memorable blow off (the cage match Rikishi won with a splash off the top of the cage). Actually Val won that match when Tazz slammed the cage door on Rikishi.

Was it really that bad? I mean...I saw the Patterson/Brisco Evening Gown Match. This shit was worse......when Tomko ripped Stevie's clothes off the crowd didnt laugh one bit. It was horrible, count your blessings you didn't have to watch that. Tomko needs to retire right now No skidmark stinkface though.

Meltzer: "They had a worst match of the year and boy is this show in the toilet. Tomko pulled Richards's women's clothes off and he worked a match in granny panties and black socks. Not only did the crowd not laugh, but they booed it out of the building. Tomko beat him up for far too long with people begging for it to stop, and not in a good way. Finally Tomko won with a rack neckbreaker. Jericho vs. Christian ladder match is next. Good luck to them."

Is anyone here actually watching? I'm sure not. I just want results.

I was looking at some old stuff on DDTDigest.com and realized how horrible the WCW booking was at time. For instance, the night after Fall Brawl 1998, a show known as just being HORRIBLE, WCW has Goldberg vs. Sting for the WCW title. Now why the hell wouldn't you have a big match like that on an actual PAY PER VIEW with some buildup to it? Also before Souled Out 1998, on the very last Nitro before the pay per view, Hogan faces the Giant, which is notable becase Hogan actually jobs. Now why the hell wouldn't you save that for a pay per view? Why would guys like Hogan wrestle on only every other pay per view? It just seems so weird. Was it just a case of the inmates running the asylum and there being no organization at all?
-
The Hogan/Patrick thing...was that for Patrick to make his "fast count" not so fast? Because while Patrick always counted kind of slow, that match came off weird because when Hogan pins Sting it seems to be a normal count.
-
Stupid question...but what is WC? Is it another board or something?
-
I saw night 2 of the Young Lions Cup. It's a fun show, but not really worth the $15 from Smartmark video. From what i've heard, this year's anniversary show and the newest show are the ones to get.

Rebuttal: I actually agree with you to an extent, since TNA was more popular back when Russo was booking, I believe. Ever since Raven lost to Jarrett the buyrates have dwindled, I believe. But would a more sports-entertainment style make TNA that much more popular? I don't think their style would catch many new viewers with the current timeslot they have. The biggest thing they can do now is get primetime, and move from there.

Yeah, he looks really big.
-
This is what Keller wrote about the whole Heyman/Cole/Untalented big guy segment.
-
He can take Heyman like *THAT*. Cole/Tazz vs. Heyman/Heidenreich at No Mercy! It's the match the fans are begging for!
-
Ha, if you hadn't seen RVD's match earlier it would look like he's been doing coke in the back.
-
Not only that, but he's a BIG MEANIE!
-
That's it...at No Mercy it's Heidenreich vs. Funaki in a capture the Michael Cole match.
-
Why is Heidenreich always in his ring attire? And how horrible is it when the best move you can do is a shoulderbreaker?
-
Michael Cole is a badass. Wow.
-
I concur.
-
Carlito is fucking awesome. Kick down that sandcastle, man!
-
RVD and D-Von were going in slow motion there, it seemed.

Okayish show so far. Bradshaw made me chuckle a bit when he was on the mic. Too bad to see London lose his tag title, but hopefully it leads to a good push instead of floundering doing nothing like he probably would have been. And what are the odds that when Bradshaw gives the Undertaker his "funeral" in two weeks, Taker pops out of a casket?
