You think they'll play London as a heel in this?
-
Can't wait for that Heidenreich vs. Cole blowoff.

Meltzer's comments: "Kenzo Suzuki & Rene Dupree won the Smackdown tag team titles tonight in Tulsa over Billy Kidman & Paul London, with the same finish as last week. Kidman wouldn't do the shooting star press, walked out, leaving London alone, and he was pinned. The 10/3 No Mercy JBL vs. Undertaker match will be a hearse match, which are the same rules as an ambulance match. Yes, let's copy week by week the Death of WCW booking." As for me, I was expecting a casket match main event, but this makes sense too. Now JBL can retain without getting pinned. Get ready for Heienreich to "shockingly" pop out of the hearse and interfere... EDIT: One more thing...this whole tag team title situation comes from Chavo getting hurt...which means they had absolutely NOTHING planned for London/Kidman until that accidentally happened. Pretty sad.l

Someone actually bid the $100 for this shit? Wow, I'd just steal a copy from my local video store that has it.

The word backstage is that Vince McMahon is now accepting that the WWE product, especially Smackdown, has many creative problems. This has everybody speculating that major creative team changes are coming. Bruce Prichard, one of the main members of Smackdown's creative team, is on a hiatus and McMahon was said to not be too happy with his work prior to his departure. Right now, Smackdown is basically being written by Dave Lagana, Vince McMahon, and Stephanie McMahon. Some are hoping that Paul Heyman somehow returns to a major role in the creative department but realize that is is probably not likely due to how he and Vince McMahon clash over creative direction. Credit: PWTorch.com =============================================== I really don't see much changing until Vince realizes the product has sucked since Steph has started booking. Does anyone think these "shakeups" will make a difference? And is the SD creative team that much worse than RAW's? Kane/Lita, anyone?

From WWF Mind Games in Sep. 96: Vince: ONE...TWO...THREEHEGOTHIMOHNOHEDIDN'T! Lawler: Hey Ross, does it bother you when Vince says "one...two...threehegothimohnohedidn't!"? JR: It's repetitive, yeah...uncreative, sure... Vince: [quietly] ...well he DID almost get him...

One of the feedback to RAW posts on 1Bob struck me as funny. It's just so pathetic how 1Bob doesn't even try to hide any bias anymore. "From Andrew Betts I watched Raw and it was good for the most part but they went too far with the HHH/Eugene match and this whole Kane/Lita thing has to stop. Enough is enough. I think I will watch more of Impact from now on."
-
If you have the Mind Games PPV, go back and watch the tag title match. Billy Gunn looks so goofy when he gets kicked by Owen Hart at the end of the match. It's just so bumbling and awkward it's pretty damn funny to me.

"I assaulted Stone Cold Steve Austin...and I got away with it!"
-
Yeah, this shit is too funny to make up. Stupid people trying to review stuff always makes me laugh. I like his commentary on Mordecai: "You have just seen the new "Next Big Thing" this bad mother hummer is fixing to rip on his opponets." I also liked: "Booker T in the graveyard Spooky and has a scary ending, it scared me! Rating 8/10"

I think it's funny sometimes to see commentary from back in the day when certain events actually took place. For example, this was written by Rick Scaia after the WWF Mind Games PPV in 1996 where Sandman spit beer in the face of Savio Vega in the first match: "Inconveniently enough, they spill out to the exact side of the ring where the ECW guests are seated. Savio regains the advantage outside, but stumbles just within range of the Sandman; and Sandman takes the opportunity to spit a mouthful of beer in Savio's face. Savio is surprised by this, and Sandman decides he wants to rumble, afterall. Savio figures he'd better just let it be, and hauls Bradshaw back into the ring while Paul E. and Dreamer try to contain Sandman, and are eventually hauled out of the building themselves. Throughout the ordeal, McMahon says only, "Well, there is the local wrestling company we told you about earlier... and some of their wrestlers are in attendence here tonight, trying to make a name for themselves at the expense of the WWF. This is an unfortunate incident, and our cameras will not shoot this footage." The cameras did indeed stay wide, and we only saw bits and piece of the trio being escorted away. Work or real sabotage attempt? My gut says this is the beginning of a promotion vs. promotion angle that will make WCW's contrived "NWO" look downright lame." The internet wrestling community says a lot...what are some things looking back, that you or others said that is kind of funny now to look back on?

Because it's "The Cage." "The Cage" has been involved in some of the greatest matches in wrestling history. But, who could forget "The Ropes," or "The Turnbuckle," or "The Mat?" "The Apron"'s a legend killer. It ended Steamboat's career. That fiend "exposed steel turnbuckle" has ended many a match and spilled much blood.
-
"BAH GAWD!!! It's CAGE!!! He's back for the second time tonight!!!!" JR: That cage has no business out here, dammit! DAMN YOU TO HELL, CAGE!!! DAMN YOU STRAIGHT TO HELL!!!
-
Glen Jacobs is looking more and more like an old man every week.
-
Jamal splashing Carmella would be kinda funny.
-
There's always Garrison Cade to steal a briefcase full of money.
-
The hardsell for the PPV is on so what match did they not hype yet? The brilliance of them combining those two pay per view tag matches into one match tonight was pure brilliance. Booking GENIUSES, I tell ya!
-
He can always put the ladder in a resthold.
-
So by the power of "the guy who loses at the show before the pay per view wins at the pay per view" booking logic is Jericho going to win at Unforgiven?
-
Wow, big win for Tomko.
-
They should run a Cartman-like storyline where another guy sees Eugene's success, so he pretends to be a retard to get in the WWE. "DURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!"
-
Yeah, it's so last RAW episode.
-
Did they ever explain why Jericho and Christian get the shot at the IC title on Sunday? Wouldn't, like...other wrestlers want a shot at the belt?
-
Doesn't matter...nobody ever wins by going out the door anyways. HHH just pulled it off. HHH is always the exception to the rule I suppose.
