    TNA's money match

Wow, Marty has made his way to the TSM boards. You make some good points at times, Marty, but you also thought the Sting/Vampiro human torch match in WCW was five stars. And trust me. None of these matches are money matches...

    Why I respect Jim Cornette

Killings can't get over? Hmmm... Then the Rock could never get over. Everyone remembers him as a jobber loser Rocky Maivia.
  3. Didn't know Teddy Hart was in PWG. I guess he hasn't been back since? I believe the DVDs will be released the first week of August, so hopefully they arrive in a week or two. I REALLY can't wait until Rocktoberfest and the 1YA shows come out. I have a friend that goes to the shows and he said those two were both fantastic, and everything else I have seen on the net echoes that. Oh, and if anyone knows of any PWG reviews other than the few I've read at oratory.rajah.com, please let me know!
  4. Kee the Ee and The Musical. I'm also getting a tape of 88 Miles Per Hour.
  5. If anyone orders it, I'd love to see their thoughts of it posted on here. And good luck to the IWS, I hope they get more shows on PPV in the future.

    H2Wrestling

This is the weirdest story ever. Court Bauer pulls some weird shit to try and get attention. He must have had to cancel the first show and tried to use that other story as a cover. And Teddy Hart's rants on message boards have been bizarre.
  7. I think this is my favorite PWG show title yet. The show looks pretty decent, too. Not quite at the level of the last two, but very very solid. Can't wait for my first PWG DVDs to come in the mail! I'll make sure to review them here.

Matches Announced for 7/23 and 7/31 IWA Events

Thought I'd bump this, with the big 7/31 show coming up in a few days. Anyone with thoughts or predictions?

CZW Tournament of Death 3 Results!

I don't know if I want this or not. I'm not a blood mark or anything, but I like a deathmatch if its a crazy brawl with some big spots in it. I HATE the kind of deathmatch that's just "walk around and stab each other". I guess that means I won't like Beater vs. Pondo.
  10. I'm going to make a huge purchase of indy shows in the next week or two, with shows from ROH, IWA-MS, PWG, and maybe the last two CZW shows. Anyone else have any other reccomendations for me?

    Raw Drinking Game

I haven't watched RAW in 2 months, but I'll try and help out here: Take a shot everytime JR calls Batista an "animal". A shot for every Diva Search segment that gets booed. Drink whenever Trips USES THE KNEE~! A shot for each guy that interferes in the main event.
  12. I heard that Joe vs. Balls was surprisingly really good, but I haven't seen the show myself. How is the ROH four way main event?

    ROH 7/17 ongoing results

Won't be able to post these all night, but here's what's gone down so far, courtesy of the ROH board: here are the results of 'Do or Die III' courtesy of Tree, who is live in Elizabeth!!! 1)Outcast Killaz defeat Texas Wrestling Academy Students 2)Daizee Haze defeated Allison Danger 3)Ring Crew Express defeated TWA Students 4)Rainman defeated Shawn Daivari 5)Colt Cabana defeated The Christopher Street Connection and was set to take on Caprice Coleman... 6) Colt Cabana defeated Caprice Coleman 7) Matt Sydal defeated Delirious....Tree indicated that the match was the best thus far and had some cool high-flying. 8)Joshua Masters fought Brian Gamble to a no-contest when Homicide hit the ring and attacked both men. 9)Josh Daniels defeated B-Boy...B-Boy was the heel, but the crowd cheered him nonetheless. The main show starts at 7:30 tonight I believe.

    ROH 7/17 ongoing results

Other notes: Daniels beat B-Boy with an abdominal stretch into a rollup. B-Boy got a "please come back" chant. Hopefully Gabe listens. Sydal beat Delirious with a belly to belly moonsault off the top. Angeldust vs. Tony Kozina was another match that happened, but the result hasn't been posted on the ROH board.
  15. I actually have this, and to be honest......it's not very good. Daniels and RVD isn't as good as it could have been, and VERY slow. Dreamer and Joe is better than I thought it would be, but everything else is pretty sub par. So basically if you can get it for cheap and you really want to see it.....fine. Otherwise my recommendation is definately to avoid. Cool, thanks a lot! I was hoping Daniels/RVD would rock.
  16. Saw this UPW show online and wondered if any of the matches were good: "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs. Rob Van Dam UPW Heavyweight Title: Samoa Joe © vs. Tommy Dreamer "Miracle" Mikey Henderson vs. Juventud Guerrera Keiji Sakoda vs. Roadkill Navajo Warrior vs. The Blue Meanie Ricky Reyes vs. Hishikawa Al Katrazz vs. "Grandmaster Sexay" Brian Christopher Thanks!

  19. With so much of the great indy talent rotating all over the country, I'm guessing that a lot of the indy "dream" matches have already happened. What are some great/interesting indy matches you can think of that to the best of your knowledge have never taken place?

Indy matches that have never happened

Hey, if Chris Hero faced Necro Butcher before, why not Low Ki? For some reason I think that match would be disturbingly interesting. Not as interesting as a drunken deathmatch, mind you...but interesting.

The One and Only Vengeance Thread

Matt wins when he needs knee surgery? Weird.

Indy wrestlers you just don't like

I've never been a fan of BJ Whitmer. I can't think of one match of his that I really enjoyed other than the 4-way at Death Before Dishonor, and that was more for Maff, Cabana, and Homicide.

Indy matches that have never happened

Has SD ever faced Ki or AJ Styles?
  24. From the socal board: Scorpio Sky, Quicksilver, & Los Rojos Locos (Ballards in lucha masks) w/ Dino Windwood over Disco Machine, Chris Bosh, Topgun Talwar, & Charles Mercury. Puma over Brad Bradley with help from Samoa Joe & Ricky Reyes. Great, brutal match. AJ Styles over Rocky Romero in an unbelievable match. Crowd was torn between the two the entire match. Colt Cabana over Excalibur & Babi Slymm w/ C. Edward VandePyle to become the #1 Contender. Scott Lost over Joey Ryan in the letdown of the night. Not necessarilly a bad match, but they just didn't click tonight, and I was expecting this to be the breakout moment for both guys. Super Dragon over CM Punk in like 29 minutes. Lived up to the hype, a must see match. American Dragon & Christoper Daniels over Samoa Joe & Ricky Reyes. This could easilly be the MOTN (along with AJ/Romero, Punk/Dragon, and the cage match). Reyes proved he's more then capable of hanging with three of the top guys in the sport, and that he deserves just as much hype as Romero. After the match, Puma came out to help beat down AmDrag and Daniels, and Romero made the save, only to join in on the attack. Bradley then came out and ran them all off, good stuff. Frankie Kazarian over Adam Pearce in a classic, bloody, old-school cage match. This match was loads of fun, and a perfect way to end the biggest feud of PWG's last year. Frankie finally pinned Pearce after three piledrivers to win back the championship, and send Pearce out of PWG in a surprising finish. Frankie then turned heel when the fans cheered Pearce, and Slymm and VanderPyle came in for the save. The night ended with a bloody Pearce getting a standing ovation from the crowd, and responding with "Fuck all of you!" in typical Scrap Daddy fashion. 4 must see matches, a pretty damn good match from Puma and Bradley, and not a bad match on the show. Crowd was hot throughout the entire night, and the place seemed pretty full. Overall, I'd say the show was a complete success, and a must buy show for anyone who missed it.

    Empty arena match

I'm writing an empty arena match for my e-fed to blow off a really big feud and I need your brilliant brains to help think up some awesome spots for this match. Any cool ideas? Also, any good stuff from past empty arena matches from real life I could play off of that would be cool?
