    A few PWG questions

This Saturday's PWG show looks fantastic, and I want to start to get into the fed. So here's a few questions for those who know: 1) How were the two title matches at Taste the Radness? (Kazarian/Pearce and Cide/B-Boy vs. Lost/Ryan) 2) How was the 10-man elimination main event of 88 Miles Per Hour? 3) What was the Super Dragon/Scorpio Sky Guerrilla Warfare match like? I can't picture them brawling much...was it different than usual for them? 4) I went to the website to buy some PWG DVDs, and it says they're all out...what's up with that? Thanks!

    WWE going after E-feds?

Can people give examples of things they had in their e-fed and then the WWE used it later? With all the stories I've heard of the WWE stealign storylines from people applying for jobs and things like that, I guarantee you they use the internet to steal ideas.
  3. Great writeup on the show. I haven't seen any PWG yet, but I think I'm going to start very soon and get 88 Miles Per Hour, and follow with the Musical and Rocktoberfest when those come out. And this? This is a DEFINITE buy even before it happens.

Matches Announced for 7/23 and 7/31 IWA Events

This fucking rocks! Ian and company at IWA-MS are completely rocking my world right now. Danielson/Cannon? Awesome. Samoe Joe vs. B-Boy? Everyone said it was great in PWG, so why not IWA-MS? Petey vs. Hero? That should be FANTASTIC. Styles/Delirious? Punk/Sydal? Petey/Sabin? Good God this is going to be fantastic.
  5. What's the best indy fed out there today? (Basically anything in North America except WWE and NWA TNA)

    Questions about KOTDM 2004

Ryan Boz using your Hulkster lunch box = AWESOME. Hey, how was Hero vs. Cannon compared to their 6/19 match? Have they announced anything for the July shows yet?

    Is Lita really pregnant?

Who starts a storyline without knowing the end to it? Christ. Imagine the writers of 24 doing that. "Eh, we'll write the first 12 shows and figure out how to finish it later."

IWA-MS review: You Gotta See This

I can see what you're saying, PFL. My problem with Aries/Red was that it had no transitions. It was just move, 2 count, pick him up, do a move, 2 count, pick him up, move, 2 count, etc. Maybe I'll like Kingston/Hero more the second time around. Kingston is chunky and not in great shape, but he plays a GREAT heel, and his commentary was fantastic, especially with Nate Webb.

    Cabana Leaves IWA Mid-South

I love Colt, but IWA-MS will obviously be fine. I just wonder what caused it, and why he'd announce he's "severing all ties". Weird.

    JAPW 7th anniversary show lineup

The shitty part is that this (I believe) is the same weekend as IWA-MS Ted Petty Invitational, so none of these guys will be able to work for IWA-MS.
  17. From the DVD boards: "In this week's observer it says they've lost nearly a half a million since opening up doors, which puts them in the red big. I always thought these guys were "breaking even on video sales" and now this comes out. Pretty wild that they were able to keep this big of a loss quiet for so long. That's big money to lose for an independent wrestling company."

    PWTorch power rankings

    (1) Triple H (78 pts.-4 First Place Votes) After working a program with Eugene, Triple H captured not only the highest point total, but also received more first place votes than anyone else. Triple H also wrestled a grueling 47 minute match at Bad Blood, which many onlookers called it a match of the year candidate. (2) Eugene (62 pts.) Eugene is quickly becoming a fan favorite, and his work with Triple H and The Rock has landed him in second place. (3) Eddie Guerrero (45 pts.) Eddie's feud with Bradshaw has entered into another PPV, and has many paying attention to his in ring work, as well as his banter with John Bradshaw Layfield, notching his place on the list at number three. (4) Chris Benoit (36 pts.-1 First Place Vote) Chris has held the title since WrestleMania, and seems to be destined for a rematch with Triple H at next month's Vengeance. Chris also pulled double duty two weeks ago at Bad Blood, as he defended his World Hvt. Title, and lost the Tag Team titles to La Resistance. His work puts him in the fourth spot. As you can see, Benoit and Undertaker tied in points, so because Benoit received a first place vote, he gets the nod and is fourth. (5) Undertaker (36 pts.) His involvement with Paul Heyman and the Dudleys nab him the fifth spot, as rumor has it he may turn heel, and drop Paul Bearer all together. (6) Kane (34 pts.) Kane not only put Shawn Michaels out of action, he is also involved in a bizarre love triangle with Matt Hardy and Lita. Kane also wrestled in what many called a great match against Chris Benoit at Bad Blood for the WWE Hvt. Title. (7) The Rock (33 pts.-2 First Place Votes) The Rock made an expected cameo appearance this past week on Raw. He hung around a bit, had fun, and made the list at number seven this week. (8) Randy Orton (28 pts.) Orton continues to impress critics with his in ring work ethic, and his mic skills. This week finds him in the eighth spot. (9) John Bradshaw Layfield (25 pts.-1 First Place Vote) JBL's promos have kept viewers interested, and is set for a WWE Title rematch at The Great American Bash. His promos and work with Eddie Guerrero have landed him in ninth place. (10) Paul Heyman (18 pts.) The only non-wrestler to make the list, Heyman seems to have breathed new life into the Dudleys, and has added to the Undertaker storyline, and has made it onto the list at tenth. Others receiving more than 10 pts.: Shawn Michaels (16 pts.-1 First Place Vote), The Dudleys(15 pts.), Samoa Joe(12 pts.), and Jeff Jarrett (11 pts.) ================================================ This is supposed to be for the "hottest" acts in wrestling - where is the hell is Cena?

  20. Are you kidding me? What matches on the card look GOOD? Especially from the ones added over the weekend? Are you excited about Mordecai vs. Holly and Suzuki vs. Gunn????

    PWTorch power rankings

Agreed. So far this year? Maybe Danielson/Homicide or Punk/Joe from Ring of Honor. The Wrestlemania ME was good too. And yes, the Torch sucks.
  22. Predictions: The Heat match will be Mark Jindrak over Billy Kidman. 1) Rey d. Chavo in a great opener 2) Kenzo Suzuki d. Billy Gunn in a horrible match 3) Luther d. Charlie Haas in a okayish/bad match 4) Torrie d. Sable in a horrible match 5) Mordecai d. Hardore Holly in a horrible match 6) Booker T wins the US title in a decent match, Cena eliminated after Angle interference to set up Cena/Angle at Summerslam 7) Taker/Dudleys have a horrible match and Paul Bearer dies...I guess 8) Eddie d. JBL in a decent match, about as good as JD, maybe a little worse.
  23. They should have brought Wargames back to the GAB. But that would require them working on a good solid feud between several people...and we all know that's too complicated for SD's writers.
  24. So is the Taker/Dudleys thing even a "match"? Or a way to turn Taker heel? God that match sounds stupid.

OAO IWA-MS King of the Deathmatch thread

Weird about Manslaughter walking out. I don't even know who he is. They should have just had Bailey beat Pondo on night one. On the IWA boards someone said the Hero/Cide vs. Whitmer/Gordy tag match and the LHW matches were both very good. No more IWA shows for a month! Dammit!
