Well TECHNICALLY it didn't say it would be for the title... But yeah.

In WWE's monthly PPV newsletter, they have confirmed that the June 26th Vengeance PPV will be headlined by a Triple H vs. Batista Hell in the Cell match. The PPV will take place in Las Vegas, NV. The newsletter also announced the ECW PPV for 6/12. Credit: PWInsider.com

I think the stuff with Rave really shows how you can take a guy and make him into a star with really good booking and giving him a story to work with in his matches. I hated Rave in a lot of his matches because he never tried to tell a story, just hit his same spots every match, and that was it. But now that he's playing a character instead of just being some generic indy wrestler and is in feuds with an actual story to them, he's really excelling. Punk has really worked his ass off to get Rave over.

Here's a great report by Mike Johnson at PWI:
-
This is from the book Thanks for the explanation!
-
HGH and roids, baby! That way you don't have to work out! WHOOOOOOOOO!
-
Going into WM18, was the plan to do HHH vs. Hogan at Backlash, or some other match? (HHH vs. Undertaker?)
-
Yeah, this show is really bad.
-
That shower gag was funny. The tampon bit might be offensive to a few people.
-
I was reminded of the show where he hits his shin and then says "ow" for three minutes. "CAPTAIN CRUNCH WAS HERE!" Not as good as last week yet, but not bad.
-
Wow, this was really good. And I'm glad to see an ROH movie for such a recent DVD release, too. I know a lot of reports said this show was average, but this movie makes it look like a million bucks.

Downloading it right now, can't wait to see it...

This was also my favorite book in the series. I don't know how they're going to fit it all into two and a half hours, but a lot of the stuff at the start of the book they can skip or cut heavily, at least. The main plot with the Tri Wizard tournament and all that shit is golden.

I think Tyler Black is the Daniels trainee.
-
This show definitely has that "big" show feel to it. The exposure they got on WB and some people from Maxim there make things interesting. I really hope the show delivers. It should be exciting to see what happens.

Any reason why Yokozuna didn't have a match at Summerslam 1994? The card was already filled or something? Was there any real reason why Yokozuna wasn't really kept around the title picture after Wrestlemania 10? Considering he lost on a "fluke" and was a big monster heel, it's kind of weird that he never was kept in that level ever again or even got a real rematch with Bret.

A lot of people forget that the Steiners won the WWF tag team titles twice.
-
Yeah I remember when Paul London was on the show they asked him to tell a road story and he laughed and asked "do I have to stay in kayfabe?" They quckly moved on.

Looks like the WWE have confirmed Piper's return via WWE.com. It says that he'll be acompanying HBK to the ring to face Hassan at House Shows. http://www.wwe.com/schedules/events/WWE-RAW-061705.jsp http://www.wwe.com/schedules/events/WWE-RAW-052905.jsp The shows are in Portland and Victoria, BC, so it makes sense. I wonder if these are just one time deals, or if Piper's going to be back on TV before too long.

Hopefully this isn't true...

Did Terry Funk explain in his book why he was Chainsaw Charlie in WWF in 1998 and not just Terry Funk?
-
Wow, over 1100 posts. So Ric Flair was supposed to face Curt Hennig originally for the US title at Starrcade 1997, right? So why was one of their most over babyfaces, DDP, going to be left off the biggest WCW show ever? That's mind boggling. Bam Bam Bigelow wrestled Tommy Rich at Clash 10 in June of 1990. How long was he in WCW for at the time? Clash 13 had Big Cat d. Brad Armstrong...who was Big Cat?
-
Hell, you should link our WCW tidbits thread.

Big tape sale, everything must go! Lots of stuff!
