Honor Invades Boston has two great matches - AJ Styles and Low Ki is about ***1/2 - ***3/4 IMO (I liked other matches they've have better) Jay vs. Mark Briscoe is probably ****-****1/4. Not much else that I remember. Unscripted has a great streetfight between Michael Shane and Paul London, and a few fun tag team matches with Daniels and Modest, Idaka and Togo, and Modest and Amdrag. Lots of reviews at 411 and other places, too.

I taped Velocity and I'm watching it now... Jindrak has the robe now? He's a COMPLETE ripoff of Luger now? Wow.
-
Yeah...I was so excited about the DVD's I forgot about RF until after I ordered. I really hope the promotion gains from the DVD's I bought, and not him.

Well what the hell, are they going to bring in Chyna? Nicole Bass? Just not worth the money, Ian! The show sounds pretty fun. I'm guessing Aries vs. Red and the tag team qualifier were the matches to see. And if they announced that this years KOTDM will be the last one ever, it might piss off some of the hardcore fanbase, wouldn't you think? I wouldn't care, and I could see why they wouldn't want to do it, but there might be some backlash from the blood and gore lovers...at least you'd think.

Someone posted on here before that Vengeance was going to be a RAW PPV and that Unforgiven or No Mercy (can't remember) would be SD. I wrote to Meltzer to ask, but he didn't know yet either. We should know when tickets go on sale, though.

A nip up right into an Evenflow DDT.
-
I picked up 3 DVDs - Battle Lines Are Drawn, The Last Stand, and Frontiers of Honor, since I heard that's a pretty cool show.

They had to drop that. It was Goldust. Goldust left. Obviously. It still looked stupid when they just dropped it, though. You'd think they would've at least tried to place someone else in the angle instead of just forgetting about it. And who the hell is behind G-TV??????
-
Yeah, he needs something that'll get him taken more seriously than that stupid SHIT gimmick...
-
So are they doing this to Booker T because he looks at his hand before he does the spinaroonie? They'll say he's possessed or something? Or he'll actually get into voodoo and shit?

"Tommy Dreamer just said on Byte This that he's not going to wrestle for the WWE again. His contract is up in July, and they're not going to renew it. He WILL be kept on in a managerial role and he said he's been doing some announcing stuff as well." Credit: WO -No surprise here. I wonder if he means "managerial" as in he'll manage a wrestler, or (more likely, I'm guessing) that he'll do behind the scenes stuff.
-
WHY? WHY IS IT NECESSARY TO DO THIS TO BOOKER T????
-
Yeah, I think it was on 4/16 against Lynn.

The only PPV I liked through all of 2002 was Summerslam. I just thought it was a really, really bad year, with very little that interested me. However, the start of 2003 was pretty bad, too. I'm leaning towards saying 2003 was better, but I really don't know.

I'm sure guys like Perfect, HBK, and Jannetty will be mentioned here. But I always get a laugh out of D-Von Dudley. Sure, he doesn't oversell a ton during the matches, but when he takes a big bump or a big move I always laugh when he spasms all over the mat, completely overselling it. Anyone else out there you'd like to mention?
-
He also won the title against Jarrett on a Nitro in WCW in 2000 with a flying cross body.
-
Jeff's contract expired before the No Mercy 99 PPV. For some reason, the WWF still had the IC title on him, and had heavily promoted a match between Jarrett and Chyna for the PPV. Jarrett demanded $100,000 to work the match, and then jumped to WCW.
-
Yeah, I have to agree with you on this one.
-
Who had a feud over the dreaded full nelson with BILLY JACK HAYNES...
-
I have a bad feeling that they're going to go the WMXX => Backlash route of things here and have rematches of Eddie/JBL, Cena/Dupree, and Taker/Booker, maybe this time with stips. (No-DQ, Cage, Casket or something like that). And don't forget about "The Dudley" - they're gonna push Bubba and D-Von in the singles ranks now.
-
I really liked that show at the time. I loved Lynn/RVD, Corino/Tajiri, and Balls/Tanaka. Also a kinda fun Nova/Chetti spotfest, IIRC.
-
Agreed on the first point. As far as Rocky goes, I'm pretty sure he never went to the top rope after returning in 1997 as a heel. So that must mean that May 97 or so would be the last time...around his Cold Day in Hell match with Mankind, I'm guessing.

Yep, it's SD only. Bad Blood is June's RAW PPV.
