I've never gotten them, as I'm pretty poor. But is the quality generally pretty good?

Update of JD main event, Heyman and Teddy Long
JoeDirt replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
Actually, speaking of Nowinski, wouldn't he make a better manager than he would a wrestler? The WWE should consider using him like that. -

Not to mention wearing candy striped pants while shilling WWF POGS~!
-
Why did Rick Rude return to the WWF in August of 1997 only to be in WCW by November?
-
Whoa. Cole OWNS Schiavone. Ditto everybody on that list outside of Rob Bartlett (who sucked hard --- but hey, he's with Imus, so it's to be expected) and David Crockett (though he did take a sickle from Nikita, it's closer to a wash there) Heck, for a while there, Tony called almost EVERY move a sidewalk slam. -=mike Lol. I just watched an old Nitro today where Curt Hennig set up to hit the PerfectPlex/Hennigplex/Fisherman's suplex on DDP. "Is the going to bulldog him????"
-
We've had threads dedicated to silly quotes from JR, McMahon, Lawler and a host of others. Nothing wrong with a Schiavone thread. I could've sworn there was a worst commentator line somewhere in the first post or topic...I guess I'm senile. Edit: I was right! It's in the sub-title thing-a-ma-jig. Okay, maybe he's not the WORST ever...Vince was bad at times, Coachman is awful... Let's just say that Schiavone was simply _annoying_. "Fans...this is the greatest night in the history of our sport, and the biggest Nitro main event we've ever seen is still to come."

And from this week's Wrestlecrap:
-
Not many people interested in Heat tonight, huh? Oh well, I don't blame 'em, that Duke/Xavier game was pretty damn good.
-
Here's a few more fun ones:
-
Someone has to post the Angle/Big Show thing from No Way Out. For some reason this makes me laugh, though it's not even CLOSE to being as funny as other ones in this thread.
-
Thanks a lot, I was talking to my g/f on the phone and saw that Booker T picture and busted out laughing and had to try and think of an excuse. Good job buddy.
-
What do you think is the best video package put together to show right before a major match? Does anything stick out in your mind as memorable?
-
Yep. He won the battle royal as Ciclope, then unmasked and beat Jericho for the Cruiserweight title, I believe.
-
What accounted for some of the big changes in buyrates for WCW over the months. Were some shows just promoted horribly and others very well? I mean Starcade '98 with a 1.1 to Souled Out the next month with a .25 and Superbrawl after that with a .15? Slamboree '97 with a .44? Wasn't WCW at its hottest at this point, with the whole nWo angle and kicking the WWF's ass?

From 1wrestling... "The second match of the night had Garrison Cade taking on the aforementioned Eugene. Eugene may be Ohio Valley Wrestling's Matt Weiss, who was on the original card listing. Eugene's gimmick reminds me of Hillbilly Jim... real friendly, shaking hands with everyone... and so simple-minded he's a few ants short of a picnic. A lady in front of me wondered out loud, "Where did they dig this guy up?" As the bell rang Eugene climbed up onto the top turnbuckle and prepared to leap off before being talked back down by the ref. As the match started Cade kept getting flustered by Eugene's antics before finally luring him in and hammering with a clothesline. Cade began the offensive on Eugene, stomping on him, throwing him outside and then bringing him in with a suplex for a two count. A body slam and two running elbows off the ropes by Cade got another two count on Eugene, who the crowd slowly got behind. Cade continued the attack, getting more flustered after a back body drop gets only two. Cade yells out, "What the hell?!!" Cade dragged Eugene over to the corner and smashed his head into the turnbuckle, only to see Eugene "hulk up". Cade went for a kick, which was caught and Eugene delivered two karate chops to Cade's forehead, before hitting an atomic drop, a reverse atomic drop and finally an airplane spin on Cade. As Cade hit the mat Eugene got up on the top turnbuckle and a double ax-handle to Cade got a 2 3/4. Eugene went for another airplane spin on Cade, who reversed into a DDT. Cade got up on the top turnbuckle and delivered a Macho Man worthy flying elbow for the three count. Eugene received some good cheers as he was helped to the back afterwards."
-
That was a fantastic match.
-
Getting squashed by Taker = big push.
-
Yep, I remember seeing that as well. Shane Douglas was in the WWF pre-Dynamic Dudes for a few months and was in the 91 Royal Rumble.
-
Must have been that Taker/Giant Gonzalez match that hooked ya. No, but I've always liked WM9 (one of the few) and _love_ KOTR93, so I know where you're coming from.
-
I guess it doesn't literally have to be a "mask", either. I remember Steve Austin dressing as a ring crew worker and trapping Vince Macmahon inside the steel cage on the Heat before the Breakdown PPV.
-
Just thought I'd post 'em for fun.
-
One more that just makes me laugh:
-
I don't have as much faith as you, I'm afraid. It's Gerwitz. He STILL has Rosey going out there as the S.H.I.T...I wouldn't expect too many good things to come from this. Poor Nick Dinsmore...Wrestlecrap, here he comes...
-
I just have to add another one which is from a RAW before Summerslam in 1997. HHH is standing in the ring waiting for Mankind to come out and Chyna is outside the ring. Mankind is in the ring dressed like a cameraman (but Foley is still wearing the Mankind mask so it's not much of a mystery) and drills HHH with the camera. JR yells "The cameraman! The camerman is attacking Helmsley!"
